Q: My Rodeo 96 has a P0440 code (Evaporative Emissions Control System problem). I have visually inspected the hoses on the engine; double-checked the gas cap is tight; but have not looked at the fuel tank sensors and connections. I've noticed that the EVAP canister purge valve solenoid is switching non-stop (click-click-click noise without stopping). Is it the expected behavior?

Q: Does a diverter valve even make a sound at all?
No. A diverter will typically be installed before any catalytic converter or muffler to allow you to have a free straight flowing exhaust by dumping the exhausted there. it has two out puts and one input. one out goes to stock exhaust one to open exhaust. Noise on demand really. Blow off valves for are for Turbo charged cars and make a whistling noise when they release air pressure when u let off the gass.
Q: I want to switch off the water in the bathroom only due to replacing sink taps, will water still come out of the pipe if i turn the stop valve
Water should be off to the sink is the stop valve off
Q: will a blow off valve work with out an intercooler???(civic 2000)and also, is a blow off valve a turbo?whats the diffrence between a turbo and a blow off valve?? thankss..
A blow off or pop off valve controls the boost or pressure the turbo or supercharger is pushing into the engine.A turbo makes the boost. The blow off valve controls it so you wont run too much boost or pressure into your engine and leave pieces of it all over the street. The blow off valve can be adjusted to control the boost,6- 8 lbs.should be sufficient for a street application. The blow off valve simply allows the excess pressure built up in the turbo to be vented or blown off so it wont be forced into the engine. The boost on a supercharged or blower application is controlled by swapping the blower pulley to either underdrive the blower or overdrive the blower, depending on which way you want to go.
Q: So i was looking for car parts and i was using my favorite website, and i was looking at turbos which are wicked costly. But i saw some blow off valves which i have heard about before. But i was wondering if you need a turbo in order to have a blow off valve installed into your car. And if you don't my next question would be is it hard to put one in and how?? Thank you for your time..
A blowoff valve goes onto your intake or the piping from your turbocharger to make sure that you dont run to much pressure they are adjustable to whatever pressure you desire. Usually people running a positive displacement blower or a turbochargers run them. That being said I'm sure that you could put one on your car but without a power adder it would never blow off. Except in the case of a intake manifold overpressure such as a backfire.
Q: what is the difference between the pinch valve and gate valve / knife valve? If someone can help me explain / show me the complete structure of pinch valve and the way it operates, thats better
a pinch valve has a membrane (or sleeve) inside the valve. When the valve handle is screwed down the membrane is pinch closed. This type of valve is good when the flow needs to be finely controlled. It is also good for slurry (abrasive) flows, as the membrane can be replaced when worn. Gate valves are less effective when the flow must be controlled. They are not used in slurry applications at all, as the gate will be quickly worn away. Knife gate valves can be used in slurry, but are generally totally open or totally closed. The valve must be installed the correct way around, as when closed the weight of the product against the knifegate helps seal the valve. If you have the wrong way around it will tend to leak.
Q: I have an 07 mazda 3, I-4 with 16 Valve. Anyone know what 16 valve means?

Q: i have a nos tank that my grandfather gave me and i was wondering if i could get a scuba valve and put it on there so i can fill my paintball tank up with the air so i dont have to go buy a scuba tank
srry but if u do that it works very poorly so i would buy that scuba tank
Q: Hi guys, my parents had me install a new faucet in their kitchen sink. It works great and everything, but after the install the hot water pressure basically decreased greatly. The cold water pressure is fine, but I believe after I had turned off the hot water at the shutoff valve, something in the valve got messed up and is blocking the water supply.
Copper pipes are usually soldered. You might want to call a plumber for this.
Q: i heard i should get one rather than a Dump valve, well?, should i?
It is often used as a safety devise in many industrial fields, first introduced on the early steam engines of the 19th century to prevent the boilers from blowing up due to excessive steam pressure. They still did often blow up as the early valves were quite primitive and often stuck closed,
