- Q:Do press have to contact someone to get on the red carpet or do they just show up with their camera's and accreditation? I have the press release for the premiere i just didn't know if i should let them know I'm coming to the premiere... thanks!
- Most red carpet events require press credentials, which means, in effect, that you need to get their permission first. The press credentials for each event are given out by the officials running the event. They are not general licenses or ID. On the press release, there should be a media contact phone number or email. Contact them and tell them you want to cover the event for your newspaper, magazine, blog, or whatever. If it's a relatively small event, and they are looking for as much press coverage as they can get, they will probably get you a spot on the red carpet. If it's a major event, that the press is hungry to cover, then space on the carpet will be limited, so they will be more particular, and are less likely to let small media outlets in.
- Q:I have never bench press before in my life and really have never lifted weights. Im 15 years old and weigh about 155 and im 6 foot 1 inches. How much weight did you start with your first time I think I can do 100 lbs but is that to low. Any tips will help I plan on trying on tow days from now.Thanks

- Q:Does the press work better with cold cookie dough or room temp cookie dough? So far room temp has been hard to work with and won't come off the plastic disk easily. I'm snowed in today and planning to bake, but want to know first if the dough needs to be room temp or cold......(one spritz recipie says one thing, and a different one says another.)

- Yes and No. You can build your chest, triceps, shoulders with bench press. But you can not build biceps and forearms. Then I suggest you to buy an adjustable bench and 2 dumbbells (don't buy fixed one). You can do full body workouts with them.

- You don't. Criminal charges in the English legal system (UK, America, Canada, Australia, India etc) are pressed by the government, not the victim. All you do is make a police report. The authorities take it from there. Richard
- Q:I think I might be using too fine of grounds they keep getting into my cup. What are some good brands of coffee to use with a French press?
- 1) Buy a decent press. Bodum has a range of price points and all of them work about the same. I have 2 medium-size presses that make about 2 large mugs worth of coffee at a time. 2) Buy whole beans, ideally freshly roasted from a local roaster, and grind them immediately prior to brewing. Keep your beans stored in an airtight container out of the light (e.g. in a cupboard), and only buy what you can reasonably use within two or three weeks. 3) Use a burr grinder to make a medium-coarse grind. I use a Hario manual grinder. They take some time, but at only $25-30 on Amazon, they're the best value in terms of quality and end result versus price paid for the grinder. Regardless of how coarsely you grind your coffee, odds are there will be some small particles that the filter doesn't catch. That is, in my experience, normal. Just don't drink the last sip or two of coffee.
- Q:looking at the differences between 2 kits
- I use a 60 year old Lyman loading press and it works just fine. It primes the cases on the press. But, I do like what another poster says about being able to watch some TV and casually prime hundred of cartridges at a time. Just be sure to pay attention when you are setting-up and have the correct primers for the loads you will be doing. (In other words, don't be too distracted.)
- Q:what body in the uk monitors what is printed in the press?
- PCC (Press Complaints Commission) It isn't proactive, i.e. it doesn't monitor the press as such - it just adjudicates on complaints that are received.
- Q:I'm thinking of getting my dad a french press, but am afraid he'll have to get all new coffee grounds since I read they require coarser grinds. Is that true? He has so many other coffee already ground up for his drip coffee maker. Thanks.
- yeah, supposed to be coarser ground than for drip machines. It is way better flavor-wise to grind fresh for each brew. If your dad doesn't have a coffee grinder and you buy your coffee at Starbucks, they can grind it specially for your specific machine.
