- Q: So I've been getting acrylics done at a salon every 2-3 weeks for a little under a year now. Today I realized I probably spend about $400 a year on these nails ($25 every time I go) and I was wondering about getting pre-glued nails, like from a drug store to maybe save money. I get the acrylics done because I work in a resturant, and my real nails used to break or the polish would chip after one shift. So would press-on nails work as well as my salon acrylics? Or would they just fall right off? How long do they last? Can I keep putting new ones right back on, like I do with the acrylics? Is it bad (well, i guess worse) for my nails? Suggestions/tips?thank you :)
- I know how u feel just recently I have stopped wearing nails and I think I will die! Also I have a cosmetology license to do hair and nails. The glue on kind r a little better for your nails than acrylics, but they will not stay on if u make it all day with out one coming off it would be amazing! Also the color will chip off allot of times if u get them to stay on. If it was me I would keep getting acrylics. I have tried both kinds. Hope this helps!

- You can press charges for her verbal assault. As for the touching, since its unwanted you might be able to press charges as well. If this is an issue that really bothers you, I advise pressing charges!

- I am not a hair care professional but I have been thinking about doing what you have done and had conducted some research. When I asked around I could not find any consistent answers. The fact that pressing hair removes moisture from our hair, the few ways I understood this dryness could be remedied were a combination of things as follow: 1) From the inside, do adopt a diet that allows your body to provide fatty acids to your hair roots and a balanced diet to keep you in great health. Drink a lot of water as this is necessary to regulate normal body functions anyway. 2) Daily use a small dab of natural oil over the hair such as Jojoba. 3) Wash the hair often- do not stretch a wash beyond 3 weeks. Use a silk protein shampoo paying attention to clean the scalp well and always have deep conditioning treatments paying attention to the ends using natural oil products like the Carol Daughter's line 4) Just like we did by resting our hair for a couple of years, from time to time it is recommended that we allow the hair to rest from the excessive heat of the hot comb and flat iron. I plan to find a wig close to my hair style to use in my rest period 5) When styling hair, try not to put excessive stress on the hair by pulling for eg. in a pony tail. Hope this helps. I plan to follow that regimen myself so let's hope it works for both of us.

- No, though the French press will make excellent brewed coffee, nothing is like an espresso maker. My preference is for a real one that accepts ground coffee, and eventually also soft coffee pods from any brand, not the Lavazza or Nespresso types that don't give you the choice. Ah, and of course, the best is to buy (roasted) coffee beans and to grind them yourself (using a coffee and/or spice grinder) I have a DéLonghi espresso maker, quite basic and not expensive (~80 $). Very convenient and great coffee! Enjoy!

- Q: I've recently joined a gym and I was just curious as to what other females are capable of doing.I'm a 25 year old female with 5 children. I weigh 119 and my height is 5 foot 3. My body fat percentage is 26% (trying my best to cut that down to about 19% or so).Bench press- i can bench press 40 lbs. - You should not worry about how much you can bench press. You should worry about form and reps. For you i would to higher reps and lower weight. That would be oriented for fat loss and toning. Also women would want to do A LOT less of flat bench press and stick to incline and decline bench press. This is due to breasts, flat bench will flatten out your chest, while upper and lower will lift.
