- Q: I am a 20 y/o male ectomorph body type 130 lbs 5'7. I have been working out for about 2 years but probably only started getting serious with compound exercises with high weight, low reps, for about 2 months.I have already seen alot of improvements by doing more compound exercises vs isolated ones. I do squats, deadlifts, clean and press, dips, chin ups, etc, but when it comes to the bench press.... I just feel flat out weak. I am doing 5x5 for my sets/reps. I can only put a 45 on the bar and barely get it up 5 full reps. It's been like this for awhile. I feel strong everywhere else but for some reason, my bench is weak and my chest shows it.Any recommendations?
- You're bulking so make sure you get your calories from the right sources and lift hard. I would do more than just bench presses, do dumbbell flyes, incline/decline dumbbell press, and then work your way up to the bench. Make sure you are doing a split, meaning don't exercise more than 1 muscle once a week. My split is Mon- Legs Tues-Back and Shoulders Wed-OFF Thur-Chest Fri-Arms Sat-Light cardio I do sets of 12,10, and 8 with weights increasing by 5 pounds every set. He is getting me into lifting and I am buying a ez curl bar and dumbell weight set with collars (so useful) and I am wondering if I put a mat down on my basement floor if I could floor press with an ez curl bar? What would this exercise target and how do I specifically do it? Is it safe to do solo?
- Why don't you ask your Uncle? Yes, you can press with an EZ curl bar but you'll want to keep your grip wide, beyond the bends in the bar. You can also press with dumbells..and you can do flys with them as well. Only you can know how safe it is. I can't know how you're training, so I can help you with safety. Just be careful and see if you can get a bench. You're going to need one. Good luck and good health!! ?

- Your shoulder press is amazing for how old you are. Your bench press should be a lot higher then your shoulder press although it might just be that something you do in regular life is working your shoulders.

- Q: What is the difference between bench pressing with a bar and benching with a machine? I use a machine and bench 180lb, but my friends tell me it's easier on a machine than it is a bar. I've done both at 160lb before and I don't notice a difference.
- When bench pressing with free weights, secondary muscles are involved in balancing the weight, where as with a machine, these secondary muscles are not involved. using a machine is fine, but in order to build greater density and strength, free weights can be a little bit better. Remember when benching with free weights, ALWAYS have a spotter!

- You will need: -a powder brush which is slight bigger than a blush brush. It should be of good quality (it shouldn't be 'scratchy') and it should be in between fluffy and dense. -pressed powder Instructions: - sweet your brush onto the powder once -apply most of the powder on your tzone which is your forehead, nose and chin as people tend to get oily in those areas the most -only sweep on the same area no more than two times as you will get a cakey look -if you meed to reapply powder again later on the day, use blotting sheets instead. Tip: since you're a beginniner, I suggest you use translucent powder or yellow powder such as Ben Nye Banana Powder.
- Q: what does the perm press do on a washing machine?
- Perm Press is the compromise cycle between Regular Wash and Gentle Cycle. It's a little gentler than the regular wash and a little rougher than the Gentle Cycle. I never use it. :) In fact, I never use anything but the regular cycle. Hope this helps. -
