- No. Push united statesare executed dealing with in the direction of the floor. Bench pressing is once you lay on a bench, etc and carry weights on a bar over your chest.
- Q: The Lombards press carrots by hand to make carrot juice. One fourth of the juice is extracted from the first pressing. Each subsequent pressing extracts one fourth of the remaining juice from the carrots. How many times will the carrots need to be pressed to extract at least two-thirds of the juice?
- first press: 1/4 second press: 3/4* 1/4 = 3/16 third press: (3/4)^2* 1/4 = 3/4^3 then 1/4 + 3/4^2 + 3/4^3 + ... + 3/4^n 2/3 3/4^2 + ... + 3/4^n 5/12 1/4^2 + ... + 1/4^n 5/36 [1/16 - 1/4^(n+1)]/(3/4) 5/36 1/16 - 1/4^(n+1) 5/48 at this time ... no value of n will satisfy... 3/4^2 + 3/4^3 + ... + 3/4^n ... as n goes to infinity .. . . yields 1/4 adding the first value, 1/4 .. . .. . this adds up to at most 1/2 and thus will not yield the desired 2/3 level.
- Q: what does the Constitution say about freedom of press?
- Assuming you mean the constitution of the u.s., the first amendment provides: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
- Q: Whenever I do flat bench presses or incline bench presses, my arms are what get sore. Isn't my chest supposed to feel the burn? Am I doing something wrong?
- Try a wider grip. The closer together your hands are the more you work your triceps. If you're really concerned about your pecs not doing enough work do some flies to isolate your chest muscles. You can do them on the machine, with dumbbells or cable.
- Q: Also, What role did they believe the free press would and should play in a democratic society?
- Please refer to the following laws: The Alien and Sedition Acts, 1798 James Thomson Callender, a Scottish citizen, had been expelled from Great Britain for his political writings. Living first in Philadelphia, then seeking refuge close in Virginia, he wrote a book entitled The Prospect Before Us (read and approved by Vice President Jefferson before publication) in which he called the Adams administration a continual tempest of malignant passions and the President a repulsive pedant, a gross hypocrite and an unprincipled oppressor. Callender, already residing in Virginia and writing for the Richmond Examiner, was indicted under the Sedition Act.
- Q: I wasdoing decline presses in the gym the other day and experienced sharp pain in my front left shoulder. Sometimes the pain radiates from the top and along the shoulder blade, but mostly in the area of the front deltoidwhere thepec attaches. I'm seeing mydoc later this week. Advil and icyhot help a little but it aches all the time and really hurts if I raise my arm forward or to the side. Any idea what it might really be?
- Did you get a good warm up before doing decline presses? I bet you pinched some nerves on your shoulders due to repetitive strain from the presses. Active rest is essential in order for the strain to heal. It is a good idea to see a doctor to properly diagnose the problem. To prevent shoulder injury, I suggest you keep your shoulders healthy thru Simple Stretches, Range Of Motion and Strength Exercises. This will keep them solid strong and free from possible injury.
- Q: I was reading the news and I just didn't know how those words are different;( if a person is 'accused' that person is not really 'proved' as guilty right? what about convicted and charge? and I was wondering what drop/ press charges mean Thanks in advance!
- to accuse means to claim that someone did something. It is definitely not yet proven. Press charges means to legally file a claim of criminal conduct. The charge is the legal accusation, a statement of what the person is supposed to have done and what law was violated by doing that. It is still not proven. A conviction, in legal sense, means that the person has been tried, been brought to court and found guilty, meaning that the accusation has been judged to have been proven. A conviction means that the accusation is considered to be true by those people who have the job to make that decision. To drop charges means that the police have decided that there is not enough proof of the truth of the accusation to justify pressing charges. Generally this means that there is not much proof of the accusation, with the suggestion that the accusation was false. It might be simply a case of there not being enough evidence to demonstrate the truth of the accusation, rather than a judgement of falsehood of the accusation. Either way, though, the result is the same. The charge is removed. In our western legal system, the general idea is that a person is considered innocent until proven guilty. The decision turns on whether there is proof of guilt, rather than proof of innocence. The problem with this is, of course, that an innocent person does not usually get to prove his innocence, and thus even if found not guilty, or even if charges are dropped, there is always some doubt as to whether the person is actually innocent, or simply got away with doing something because there wasn't enough proof. being not guilty is not exactly the same as being innocent. Being innocent is definitely being not guilty, but not guilty is not definitely being innocent.
- Q: Bench press:Grip wider then shouldersElbows out wideTouch between nipples and neck then liftClose grip bench press:Grip inside shoulder widthElbows as close to body as possibleTouch under nipples then liftPlease correct anything
- Actually for a good regular bench press your hands should be placed like so: your thumbs should be just outside your shoulders on the bar, not way out on the bar. When you bring the bar down you want to pretty much touch right at or just below your nipples, and when you push the bar you want to push up and toward your head. This way you get the full extent of the workout. As for close grip bench, there are several ways to do this. With a regular bar you would want to place your hands about 2 fist lengths away from each other toward the middle of the bar. When you bring the bar down you want to keep your elbows close to your body touching your chest just below the nipples, again pushing up and toward your head on the way back up just like regular bench. I also like to use a curl bar for close grip bench, because it has a bend in the bar where you can make sure your grip is in the same place every time. Hope that helps!
- Q: I tighten the belt as much as I can (sorta hard to adjust) but it still jams. It's an inexpensive mastercraft 10 model. The belt looks fine to me but I don't know what to look for. It jams a lot, almost unusable with a 7/8 forstner bit. Really annoying. I would definately get a new belt if I thought that was it. I think it didn't jam as much when it was new. The other day the belt just came off while running for no apparent reason (it was plenty tight). Thanks for any help anyone can suggest. Could it be alignment?
- I don't know what you mean by jams. I'm a machinist for over 24 years. e-mail me with better details and I know I can help
