Operations Conditions


1. The medium temperature should not be over 60oC, the density 1200Kg/m3, and the pH value within 5-9.
2. During running, the pump must not be lower than the permitted lowest liquid level.
3. Rated voltage 380 V, rated frequency 50 Hz. The motor can run successfully, only under the condition the deviations of both rated voltage and frequency are not over ± 5%.
4. The maximum diameter of the solid grain going through the pump has not to be larger than 50% of that of the pump outlet.

You'd be best off finding someone you know who is reputable with car repairs and see if he or she would be interested in doing the repairs. You can find people like this all over the place. You should also perhaps check around with some other shops regarding your car and the repairs. Maybe you'll find someone to do it for around 500 or less. If you were near me I'd do it for 200 tops. and no, the dodge neon isn't crap to work on.....like a little riding mower in my opinion. Is your timing area making noises like something rattling around? If so it's that plastic piece I told you about. But check around and always remember that most of these shops with their outrageous repair costs don't provide vaseline for free.
Q: When my wife was driving on freeway, the alternator belt broke and battery sign showed up. She also told that the temperature gauze showed high. Once the belt breaks your battery light will come on because the alternator can't charge the battery anymore and also your car will overheat if you have a serpentine belt because once the belt is broke nothing will move anymore including your water pump. Your leak probably came from the overflow tank which is normal when a car overheats. You don't seem to know much about cars so I assume that you really don't know where the water pump is. Change the belt and than hope to god that she didn't run the car to long while it was hot to crack the head gasket . oh and make sure you add enough coolant back to the cooling system before you start the car again

Q: My car is overheating and i don't know why just trying to rule out as many options as possible.Things it is most likely not: blown gasket/cracked head, both replaced 2 years ago and no tell tale signs I will be doing a block test soon, thermostat replaced it and put the old one in hot water and it opened, hoses replaced with new one two years ago, no leaks pressure test a few days ago. Not nessesarily. because the pump could still be pumping , but leaking. When the thermostat gives out and the coolant gets low, then the heater will not blow cool air out. Anything that has a leak could be a cause for the coolant being low. Every time you remove the coolant from the system, bleed it by turning the bleed screw that is near the thermostat housing. be sure the car is hot enough before turning the screw slightly. You did not mention the year , model , and engine of the car. so I am assuming only. Radiator flush works well to clean out motors . Buy a can and follow directions. it may also be a coolant temperature sensor. This is a very important sensor because it affects the signals the Computer is getting. It may not run well. Have it scanned for a trouble code free at Autozone ot other store.

Q: Hi. This car is 66 chevy but the motor is a 1984 chevy 350 4bolt main stroked to 383. I think its an '84, might be an '85. I need to replace fan clutch and water pump.... the fan clutch is bad but manufacturer of the replacement parts says you must do water pump and fan clutch together. Is the pump a 66 chevy pump or a 350 small block pump? What about the fan clutch? Ok, and please help with motor mounts. do I use mounts specific for 66 model or specific to the motor?
It's a Gen 1 small block V8. There are only two types of small block water pumps, long shaft and short shaft. Short shaft pumps were used on pre 1968 motors. The long pump measures 7 1/4 from the mounting surface to the outside of the clutch mounting flange, the short pump measures 5 5/8. The mounts should be for a small block in the same body type you are using it in. Back in the 50's there was a different mounting system that bolted to the front of the block, but everything since then is compatible. By the way, if the motor is in a 1966 body with the standard radiator, use the short water pump, iron or aluminum makes no difference except in cost.

In the olden days when the fan was attached to the front of the water pump,you could hold the fan by either side and see if it moves at all.If theres movement of the shaft then that usually means the bearings are worn.The more it moves the worse it is.Not much help if you got thermo fans though.
