Q: I have a 5spd integra (98), I might be getting an excellent deal on an automatic shell thats in mint condition (way better condition then mine) I was wondering if i did the auto to manual swap if I could just swap my manual harness into the auto instead of cutting the auto harness. I've looked online and I haven't read much, if any, information on this.
Well it depends on the year of the shell. If it's 95 or newer, than it's obd II, same as your 98. So you should be able to swap your 5 speed harness, and then you also need to use the 5 spd ecu.
Q: I have a 1998 eclipse spyder GS and a rodent got under the hood and chewed the wiring harness by the battery tray we are putting it back together but there are several red with silver stripes, black with silver stripes and blue with silver stripe around with a yellow stripe, wires that look the same and we don't know which ones go to which ones, can you help?
Go to your local auto part store and ask them to print out a wiring schematic.
Q: I was swapping out the factory radio for an after market one, after it was wired up I realized that the harness they gave me was incorrect. When I went to put the old one back in it wouldn't turn on, I checked the power at the harness I had 12volts all the car fuses were good and I there are no fuses on the actual radio.Any suggestions?
id make sure u didn bend any of the pins in the harness' connector. then i'd check ur fuses
Q: I recently purchased a wiring harness so i could hook up my aftermarket stereo to my 2001 chevy blazer. The Harness i have has every color of wire except for Blue/White which is the wire that i am suppose to hook up my remote wire too from my amplifier. So i dont know where to hook the remote wire too, do i need to get another harness or.?And another question on the harness i have for my pioneer DEH-P4600MP it has all colors for the harness for my blazer except for Orange/White wire. This wire is dimmer so would i just not even worry about hooking that wire up to anything?
Since a stock receiver does not have a remote lead, some aftermarket wiring harnesses will not include it. The head unit however, will have a lead usually marked as such and sometimes terminated with a female bullet connector. Just connect that lead to the remote wire going to your amp remote terminal. If the Blazer wiring harness includes a dimmer lead, connect the orange/white to it. If not, just leave it disconnected and protect the end so that it does not short against other wires or ground. With it disconnected, the receiver lighting will not dim when you turn on the lights.
Q: I purchased a JVC Car Stereo from a Pawn Shop. It did not come with the mounting wires for the back of the stereo. It is a 16 pin and the model # is (KD-G140). I cannot find the wire harness for my specific model. Please help!
The best chance of finding the harness would be at the manufactures website. Chances are slim though. Does the pawn shop have a return policy?
Q: Can someone give me a color coder for the wiring harness of a Toyota Corolla Factory Head Unit 2007 model CE? plz?
dont cut any wires from your vehicle,go to any stereo shop and buy the harness for your vehicle then just put both of wire harness and just plug it to the harness that comes from the stereo then later you could always put the old stereo back.
Q: I am just wondering if there is such thing as a wiring harness plug adapter. My car came factory with a Kenwood cd player. I am wondering if there is a way to swap head units with out having to splice. I have a Kenwood KDC-222, it's ok but to be honest I have had better results from Dual. I'll probably end up going with a pioneer though. Also I use non-factory subs. Anyways any help would be appreciated.
at your local best buy or circuit city for about fifteen to twenty dollars. if there is a swap meet or flea market, they will probably have it as well.
Q: I am trying to install a 92 chevy caprice 5.7 liter into a 73 pontiac grandville. Is there a wiring harness that I could purchase to help with the wiring?
If okorder
Q: I have 86 chevy half ton pickup needing a harness. will a harness from an 84 half ton work for me as I have one availible to me
Only if it has the same engine/trans combo. I don't remember any major changes happening between 84 and 86, but taking that into account, thoroughly label everything you're removing, and bring the digital camera along to snap pics of the harness with the labels on them as you remove each connector. Better safe than confused as all heck!
Q: I just bought a 1996 Honda Accord, and I got kind of cheap, so I'm expecting some problems. But I wanted to install an aftermarket radio like a Pioneer, and I get the concept of all the connections from youtube videos, but it looks like who ever had the car before me messed up the radio wiring. So there is absolutely no wiring harness in the vehicle already, its just jagged and messed up wiring coming from the console where there supposed to be a wiring harness. Can anyone tell me what to do? It would seem like I would have to connect a new harness to the jagged wires in my car.Thanks.
you use an ohm meter to locate pairs of speaker wires, or you invest in a repair manual with an electrical schematic. sorry about your luck.
