- Q: Pump adapter belongs to the system of fire pool equipment?
- Not belong to. According to the specification, fire hydrant system and automatic sprinkler system fire water supply pipe should be installed on the pump adapter, therefore, it belongs to the fire water supply facilities.
- Q: I want to buy a tree spraying rig for my property but would like to know its theoretical capabilities first. The rig has a gas powered diaphragm pump capable of delivering 20 GPM @ a maximum pressure of 300 psi. The hose coming from the pump is 150' long and is 0.75in diameter. It has a solid stream nozzle that measures 0.1875in diameter. What would the maximum theoretical elevation that this setup could deliver a steady stream of water? The nozzle would be aimed at between 45 and 60 degrees from horizontal.
- well water exerts about 1 atm pressure (15psi) for each 33 feet of depth so 300psi is about 10 atm meaning that your pump could support a column some 330ft high then figure what pressure you would need to make your spray effective and subtract 33ft per 15psi this is only a ballpark estimate losses in hoses will be significant
- Q: Suppose the liquid temperature range for the water pump is -20 .. 90 °C. However it should be worked under liquid temperature upto 180 °C. For this, what has to to be done?
- (edited) The physical size of the pumping arrangement was not described. I assume that the pump has all metallic components because of the high (194 F) 90degC design operating temperature. There may be some problem with an elastomeric bellows in a mechanical seal at the 180degC (356F) temperature. Other than that, there should be no problem with the temperatures as far as the pump is concerned. There may be a need for shaft cooling to protect the standard electric motor and possibly the flexible drive coupling arrangement. (edit) Depending on the physical size, rotating speed and drive arrangement, a special coupling set-up may be needed to accommodate any potentially wide swing in operating temperatures. From ambient to 180degC there will be about a 160C (288F) variation. The liquid will be either a salt or a glycol brine solution for freeze protection at the lower temperatures. (edit) That same concentration will provide some elevation of the boiling temperature and therefore a reduction of the pressure of the water solution needed to prevent boiling. ( 130 psig is the saturation pressure of plain water at that elevated temperature.) This can be found on the charts provided by the glycol suppliers for the various glycol and salt solution characteristics. To prevent cavitation you may need to pressurize the suction. If the proposed pressure of the system is already above the vapor pressure of the solution at that maximum temperature, you may already be OK. A motor with high temperature windings may be considered.
- Q: After reaching a height of 50 feet , there should be enough pressure to hose around 20 to 30 feet of water from it for curing concrete structure ex: columns, slab area etc. How many inches ( diameter ) of rubber hose is required to plug the water pump for pumping water ?
- 1 inch
- Q: I am trying to replace a water pump on my ranger and i have all the bolts out. It seems to be stuck i think it is because of the oring around the outside of the pump andy ideas of how to free it?
- The heater middle is placed on the passenger area on the firewall. From the water pump there will be 2 small traces going into the black container on the firewall. The heater middle is interior the container. you will have a foul radiator hose. that's the greater value-effective restoration. If it became the water pump, your automobile could over warmth in minutes. the warmth interior the automobile would desire to be from a vent door caught open interior the heater container.
- Q: I have a 1995 Johnson 88 Outboard. It needs a water pump. I have everything loose except the shift rod that goes all the way through the unit How is it connected and how do I disconnect it?Thanks for your answers.
- Look okorder click on electronic parts catalogue select Johnson in the dropdown box upper left hand corrner click on 1995 click on 88 click on your model number (or any model #, all 3 have the same gearcase) click on cylinder crankcase the screw you're looking for is part #47 on that chart
- Q: How many pumps does a 50 meter water head use?
- Deep well submersible pump head = dynamic water level to pipe outlet height + outlet pressure + hydraulic loss along courseTherefore, it is necessary to provide the dynamic water level of the well, the required flow rate, the pipe diameter, and the vertical height of the wellhead to the highest point, so as to estimate the pump head.
- Q: I have a slight idea but I would like to see what steps other people have taken. I have a 1992 ford escort that needs a new water pump, what steps have you taken to replace it?
- 1992 Ford Escort
- Q: I have septic tanks. My toilet flushing water is filthy and the water pump runs for a long time and sounds strange. I have turned the pump off for now but know this is not an answer but i was worried it would burn out or something. Do i need a part for the pressure pump? Please help any plumbers out there.
- Oh, groan ...up at 5:30 in the morning with water problems! Well. I guess it makes life 'interesting! ...lol Your well is running dry. - It is what I suspect. - Had the same problem, long ago. First of all ...you don't have septic tank(s). - You have only (1) septic tank. You can't let your water pump run-on like that. - It will overheat and burn out. My water pump was $700.00 dollars! I'm suspecting your water recovery rate in your well is very slow. - Time of year 'possibly'. - Or your well was just not dug deep enough in the first place, to have much reserve water capacity. What looks like dirty water, is probably really actually only sand and silt, that your water pump is sucking up, when your well runs close to dry. There's a free remedy. Squeeze a clamp onto the rubber washing machine water hose. - To restrict the rapid flow of water into your washing machine. If you're watering your garden ...don't water for too long. - Or the well will run dry. I put a water timer on my garden hose, so it only watered my garden for 5 minutes, every half hour. Leaving it that way 'all night' and you'll wake up to a well watered garden in the morning! I'm sure this is your problem, - low water recovery rate in your well - because that would account for the water turning silty. Be ingenuitive ...and it won't cost a penny, or inconvenience. Trini ps. The water that is pumped into your toilet, is well water. The septic tank is where the well water flushes the poo poo to. pps. You're right in turning the water pump off while you wait for the well water to recover!
- Q: 94 f150,302 engine. the water pump comes with 2 gaskets. one behind a metal plate on the pump and another for mounting it to the motor. my question is do you have to use sealant of any kind on both gaskets or can you just bolt it on?
- use sealant you dont need a ton but enough to hold the gaskets in place
