Q:What is a simple way to disconnect the damn light, because the breaks are fine, but with the panel light showing and not shutting off, it fails inspection, and i dont want to replace my break system.: i own a repair shop,and if you pull the light out ,the trouble code is going to be there and it will probably show up,on the test,,do this,,take it by auto zone ,and have them scan it,,its free,they can tell you if its a sensor,,just a simple sensor will make the light go on,,if that's all it is ,,you might want to consider replacing it ,then it will pass the test for sure,,,this is what id do,,then they wont question it ,,good luck with it,,hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

Q:someone sent me a wii message and the blue light came on. so i go back to the wii menu and they blue light starts flickering really wierd and the screen turns black. it wouldnt turn of so i unplugged it. and when i turn it back on i have to do the wii settings like when i first got the system and all my wii contacts were gone and it gave me a new wii number. and it said you have a new heat-in system. You can actually do pretty well with auto headlights if you can only afford to go that route, but you need to soften the light make it less focused so that it will spread better and cause fewer hard shadows. Shine auto lights thru a bed sheet and it will produce a less hard edged light. Remember to make the shots tight. If you use a wide shot you have to start lighting a lot of background sets or the thing is going to look like a pool of light in the middle of a black screen. Another trick you can use in the edit (assuming video edit) is to take the exposure down a couple of stops and boost the blue end of the spectrum. This was the old Hollywood system of getting night scenes that were actually shot in the day. underexposed and shot thru a blue gel they can pass for night IF YOU ARE NOT SHOOTING IN BRIGHT SUNSHINE. Once again you need to soften the shadows to make the night feel real. Shoot on an overcast day and you can get away with it. If you are using electric light you need basically a key light and a fill light for each major view. Look at any nighttime movie shot. One side of the face is brightly lit the other is dimly lit. That's not luck. Both lights need to be set up and placed the right distance away to balance the level of the light correctly. GOOD LUCK!

Q:The service air conditioner light on our 1991 Cadillac sedan deville 4.9 comes on when I turn the air conditioner on. The electronic climate control will not let me turn on the heat or the ac. To start with, you should check any fuses for the system to see if they are blown and have the a/c system checked for proper chargeundercharge or overcharge can cause the system to stop working. The main PCM computer is also involved in operating the HVAC system depending on engine load and throttle position, engine temp, etcso you should have it tested for trouble codes.local parts stores usually offer this as a free service. Any trouble codes might lead to better diagnosing. A shop would have to test to see which system sensors, relays or other areas are not getting power or malfunctioning or diagnose a problem with the main climate control unit. Parts and labor can get pretty spendy so many people opt to switch out the automatic climate controls for a manual control system if the car is worth keeping long term or alter the climate system to perform more manually.bypassing the computer controls with on-off switches mounted to the instrument panel or console mounting platform.

Counting the flashes to get that number code, then looking up in a auto computer book, or online for your make, model of car can help identify the problem area. Many times it is just a case where a car has been damaged in an accident, but not one to have set off the air bag, but has caused a wire to come loose in the system to ground. You would have to trace out your air bag wiring to find it, but most times it just isn't economically feasible to take it to a dealer to do. The light will flash a certain number of times, pause for about two to three seconds, then flash another number of times. After each code flashing the light will be off for several seconds before it starts to flash again. Once you have the code that is flashed you can then start looking to the code info online for your car. There are several places to do this, including some manufacturers sites. Good Luck.

I don't have the Homelink system and can't find anywhere in the manual what else they might be for. Anyone know?: You may have the auto dimming rear view mirror. Nissan calls it (automatic anti-glare) Owners Hand Book section 3 page 15 Green light on means that when head lights from cars behind hits the sensor photooptic cell that causes the liquid crystals inside the mirror glass to darken. If it is a GM car and the theft light comes on, you have a problem with the anti-theft system. When there is a problem with the theft system it will not allow the car to start. Generally on GM cars, it is usually the ignition lock cylinder or key problem. Most cars now have a computer chip or for GM a resistor chip installed in the key for prevention of theft. Q:I am at 98,500 miles i just got an oil change and got new battery terminals and a battery cable put in my car because the previous terminals and cable were corroded. A day later i am driving and the check engine light comes up. I have never had any problem with my car and have always taken it to the dealer until just this past time and look what happens.
