- Q: Know anything about putting HID lighting system in my 97‘ Dodge Ram. For instense, a good brand? Will it melt the stock housing unit?
- hey dude ,,it will get it hot that's for sure,,i have used them before,i haven't seen any melt yet but they get extremely hot. though,,.i cant remember the last brand i used,,but they came from advance auto,,and the,ll warn you that it may get hot,,but as of yet the ones i have put in haven't melted anything but that's not to say it wont happen,read on the paper of the one you have,and see what it says,,most of them are made to work with stock housings,,good luck,,,have a good x-mas.

- Q: I have a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria and when I started the car all the lights flashed [headlights, interior lights, dash lights] then went out. Now my headlights are not working nor is the turn signals. All I get when I turn the headlight switch is the interior dome light flash on and off. There is three positions on the headlight switch [off, parking lights, and on] and when I move it into either position in either direction there is a quick flash of the interior dome light. No headlights flash they just don‘t work, just the dome light and the light under the hood when you have the hood up. Any ideas?

- Q: Why do many people who own a DSLR use it in auto setting?
- There are many benefits to using a DSLR apart from the greater granularity of manual controls. Better low light performance from larger sensors, faster response times, higher performance auto focus systems, etc. I am personally a big believer in the predictability and repeatability of manual exposure controls, but modern DSLRs have such sophisticated exposure algorithms that their automated capabilities can relieve a lot of the burden of photography. This can make the process a lot more fun for someone who wants high (technical) quality images, without the challenge. A friend of mine locally is an award winning photographer and a skilled composer, but often allows the camera to fully determine exposure. Quite often, being relieved of the technical demands, allows creativity to flow.
- Q: It is a 3.0l OHV flex-fuel vehicle.The dealership says its a fouled up injector but they wont show a printout of the computer reading so i cant be for sure. If there is anybody who has same problem or knows the answer I would really appreciate it!
- most dealers don't have their diagnostic computers hooked to printers. I know we have 6 testers in teh shop with only 2 hooked to printers. But how will a printout show that's it's a fuel injector to you unless you know what to expect from the printout? Usually the time it stays open is either too long or too short but usually is found by trial and error replacement with pulling it out and swapping with another injector. I've done a home brew version of opening an injector to chek for spray pattern before but that car onlly showed a miss when first started and ran perfect at every other time. Since they have to back up their diagnostics, let them change it and then get on them if their diagnostics are wrong. A lot of service writers will instead explain what is going on to cause the light if asked nice enough.
- Q: I have an 07 Altima 3.5SE sedan...I've been noticing when the auto-light feature is turned on, and the vehicle is just turned off, the headlights are on for an excessive period of time.

- Q: I just got a 99 toyota corolla from my sister in Massachusetts. The check engine light is on and has been one for awhile. She took it to two auto shops who said it's the light malfunctioning and the engine is fine. It passed it's inspection in Massachusetts but today when I went to get it inspected in NY they claim it's an automatic fail and that something is in fact wrong with the engine.Is it an automatic fail in NY just because that light is on? He says it's gonna cost me 350 dollars to fix what's wrong but I don't think I trust him. Thanks in advance!
- I lived in Louisiana, We have a 1996 tercel with 320,000 miles and the engine light has been on since about 100,000 miles, I'm surprise thats the only light bulb that we havn't changed yet ! we took it to get it check out but they said it was bad sensor that said it's polluting to much. unless we moved to California or somewhere like that nothing to worry about. We still drive it everyday and get 40mph !

- Q: yo im thinking of getting Avast nowhowever, i still have a running Mcafee system running.the security index displays security and antivirus on low because i cant update it until the admin returns in a month or so.so I was wonding will Avast conflict with McAfee when it runs?

- Q: Has anyone been having problems with Windows Updates lately? The past couple of times, my computer had automatic Windows updates, and I‘ve had problems turning my computer back on. The power light comes on, the CD/DVD drive light flashes as it should, but the system doesn‘t kick in or start up (no Windows splash screen, etc.).It‘s only when I unplugged and plugged in the computer itself, that my computer came back on. The same thing happened once before, after the previous Windows Auto update. I have turned off the auto update function in the Control Panel.Has anyone else had this problem? What can I do to make sure I don‘t have this problem again? I‘m afraid to turn off my computer now, as I might not be able to turn it back on. I have an HP Pavilion with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
- That and more. my most recent problems with Auto Update were updates changing drivers or firmware. I haven't had any problems since disabling the updates. You might need to do a system restore and then disable the updates and simply choose the files yourself to update.
