Q:i have a 2002 jeep liberty with 154,000 miles. its a v6 3.7l 4wd autoThe engine light went on and the code is p0700. Is it something i should worry about? it drives fine ive had no problems with the car. the engine light just turned on. and i followed what the manual said to do and turn the key to the on position and see if it flashes. the check engine light doesn‘t flash.: Either get a fish that will eat the algae, loaches, corydoras, red tailed shark. Or Take the plants out and wash them with warm water, no chemicals.

Your mixture of different grades of oil does not do any harm to your engine. Have oil is better than no oil. The light is most reliable to inform you what is wrong with your car. One of the engine sensors has failed (or value is out of range). Read out this defect with your mechanic's diagnostic scantool, replace the faulty sensor, and delete the memorised fault. I believe your engine is healty as you change the oil regularly. It is commendable. Happy motoring.

Q:Mechanic turned it off using a tool- said it was an old crash sensor code but it came back on the next day. He couldn‘t trouble shoot it any further- only option on his tool was to turn it off. It hasn‘t been hit in years- why would the light start blinking now? I tried to manually reset it following the procedure but it did not work. He said it is probably the sensor in the console. Is there anything else I can do to fix it. I‘ve heard that sensor is $800. Where could I find it for less? Junk yards like to sell with the airbag which I don‘t need. Is this an easy job to do by myself?: turn on the airbag if possible and take off the negative side of the battery for 6 second when you do this it will reset all the error codes and the status of the computer will be default don't forget to hook the negative side back up

If it doesn‘t repaired, what will happen?: Most likely the front rotors have heat spots on them, or are warped.just looking at a rotor and saying they are fine doesn't mean they are. Rear tires wearing unevenly, now THAT is an alignment problem. Have the rear lateral link arms looked at closely, they keep the rear tires tracking straight. And the struts too!!

Q:Hi, whenever I am driving the airbag light is always on. It‘s not supposed to be on whilst driving right? What does the mechanic need to check and how does he rectify this? Or where should I go to fix it so it doesn‘t come on again? Many thanks for your help :).: The airbag light only comes on when the key is in the on position,comes on and goes out 6 seconds after car is started and when there is a fault in the airbag deployment system or passenger presentation wire under the passengers seat came un-hooked. A couple days later the light will go out but both airbags will be deactivated if the light is on or not,so I suggest you get it fixed.

Q:I got a new stereo head for my 1999 Ford Contour Sport on my birthday. Since it‘s been installed, I can only get any kind of electrical power when I turn my lights on and the dimmer knob is up all the way. My lights inside don‘t turn on unless my headlights are on and neither does my sound system. I also cannot use my remote lock on my keys unless my headlights are on. I figure it‘s a wiring problem that may have something to do with the stereo head. Any ideas or suggestions as to how to fix it?: Sounds like the stereo was wired incorrectly. I'm not an expert in auto wiring but I have installed my own stereo before and know that they are supposed to be wired a certain way so the power isn't on when the ignition is off etc. I'm not sure why your lights are affecting everything. The only think I can think is whoever wired it up used the wrong wires.

Q:my check engine light is on and when auto-zone scanned it, it came up as transmission, well I need to get the hoses in my transmission changed but I was just wondering if that would cause the light to go on. Also my battery light is on and I‘m getting the alternator belt changed this weekend, would that cause my battery light to come on? THanks so much. I have a 97‘ plymouth breeze with a 2.0 engine.: Yes issues with your transmission can turn on your check engine light, the hoes leaking are causing the transmission fluid to get low and possibly set some trans related codes, once you get them replaced and the fluid topped off, have the codes cleared and see if they return. If your belt is broken or slipping (too loose) yes it can cause your battery light to come on.but if you dont hear any squealing from the belt you might need at alternator.have your shop check the charging system before they replace the belt.Good luck!
