Q: Car lights open the first switch is what lights
Should be a wide light
Q: What would cause the head lights to go off for a second and then come back on again. I also have a prob with high beams as well. When there on, they will go off after a short while of use.
Pure drive, i would consider it very head light. Head light i prefer for head acceleration in addition to control. However when i feel like just pounding the ball with ease i prefer a head heavy racquet. Head light also has easier mobility around the net which i prefer. Male
Q: My Venture Van ran out of gas yesterday, I put gas in and now it runs fine, but the service engine soon light is on It doesnt need oil and the coolant level is fine, what could be causing this or how do i reset the system to turn the light off?
Disconnecting the battery on a newer car does not work. You will need to use a scanner to shut it off. The newer vehicles have an internal battery for memory - that is why you can not reset the mileage of the vehicle when you disconnect the battery :P. Id go to your local automotive parts store like Kragen/Auto Zone and have the guys there use the scanner and see what the code is - they should be able to give you at least the Code number and then you can research it online of on this Forum. With that info you can determine if it was set due to the gas problem you had or the gas cap was not put on tight enough which can cause the light to come on. All in all there is a reason behind the light and the 1st step is use a scanner Good luck.
Q: I have a 1998 Chevy Lumina, my car would not start. Luckily, this all happened in my driveway and not on the highway! I called AAA last night and he tested my battery and alternator, both were in poor condition (the alternator tested in the yellow, about a 12). Before this happened, I left the car running for 10 minutes to warm up (I live in MN), but 3 hours before, my car was running normal. I explained to a family member about what happened and he said, quote, “that doesn’t make any sense”. I moved to a metropolitan area where I do not know anybody personally who can even help me to repair my car. Also, too, I’m worried I was taken advantage of by the local auto technician. Could there be another underlying issue that the technician didn’t even want to take the time to diagnose, such as maybe tightening the alternator belt or just charging the battery altogether? Before this happened, none of my indicator lights came on, such as the battery light or service engine light. Thanks for the help!
Let's assume that the AAA technician knew how to properly test the car battery - if he says it's in poor condition, you should replace it first, then. if your problem persists, you may need to replace the alternator, but that's more expensive, and a battery is simple to replace and easy enough for you to shop around for pricing on, even as a woman :) It's the type of job that should have a very set cost, they won't need to see your car to quote you on it, so call around a few local auto garages, I think you should get it done for about $100.
Q: The truck is used and the sticker says that the next oil change needed to be around 9300 and it is currently at 9700. Is this a possible cause for the light to come on?
I have a 2006 Toyota Sienna and it has a light that says maintenance required soon and that means change the oil. It comes on every 5000 miles and the owners manual tells how to reset it. Check your manual, it has a lot of good info in it
Q: My car is the BMW Audi A6 today, a traffic accident, rubbed the rear of others. Headlamps abrasions are serious, there are deep scratches, insurance companies let me directly for one, but I really do not want to change ah, for the I heard that there is now a large headlight repair technology, but I know this from time to time, who can help me to answer the next.
Brother, look at the point, the light bulb or the original, you change the shell is also nothing Well Scratches will affect the projection effect, simply say it is not clear or not far enough it It is not, looking for professional maintenance place to open the headlamp sealant, scratched lens for a change, nor is it to replace the headlamps.
Q: I believe its a 2004. Had the oil changed yesterday. and today the check engine light came on. took it to auto parts place, they hooked it up and said it was clear and no codes came up. could it have been the oil change? should i take it to a mechanic? it also started to make a rather loud rattling sound, but that was before the oil change, and it only happens sometimes.
are you sure it isnt the service engine soon light that came on? This means you need to reset the oil change monitor system in the car .the directions on how to do this should be in the owners manual. Also i would try an actual reapir shop to check the ecm for codes, i dont trust these guys in auto part stores very much. gl
Q: my ABS light stayes on also my 4x4 light keep trying to come on and i get a wrench light. it seems like my claipers are stuck i already changed them but the problem contuines. it like the truck won‘t pull off it just sit there no matter how much gas i give it.
The ABS modules are expensive. That being said you have more than one issue going on. The ABS light isn't too likely to be related to the inability to move the truck. Even with an inoperative ABS system the truck still has the ability to stop itself using the standard hydraulic braking system. The wrench light indicates there's a mechanical issue that needs to be fixed. The easiest way to isolate it is to have the codes scanned and go from there. The ABS system can be a chore to diagnose without a scanner designed for that purpose, unfortunately they are not the scanners the auto parts stores use for free. Your inability to get the truck moving is more likley to be related to the driveline/transmission.
Q: My check engine light has been on for about a month but I‘ve noticed When its cold that it blinks. Advanced auto said a while back that it was running lean (I believe) and they gave me fuel injector cleaner. What do yall think the problem is? I cant figure it out.thanks
While testing is not always a cure it tends to be the norm! At the parts store the other day a similar thing occurred and the perplexed owner as me to aid his quest! It can be so many things after the scan but the first thing was that his fuel cap was sealing. When he opened the flap, the cap fell out! Problem solved with friendly advice! You should be so lucky as both of us!
Q: I have a 1976 Bronco and would like to replace everything so it won‘t break down and leave me stranded as I have difficulty walking long distances. This includes new/rebuilt V 6/V8, new/rebuilt auto transmission, complete braking system, lights and wiring, electrical system, exhaust system, anything and everything to make it so it appears as is was manufactured last year.
Initial condition of yours is a large factor. new/rebuilt V 6/V8 (V6 was not an option) 4000 to 6000 installed. new/rebuilt auto transmission 2500 to 3500 installed. complete braking system at least 1500. electrical system another 1000 minimum. exhaust system, cheap one here, 800 (more for stainless though!) anything and everything to make it so it appears as is was manufactured last year Now you are talking! Paint, Upholstery, body work, window/body seals etc. all shouldn't be any more than 12 to 15 grand! Restorations are expensive. I have made a lot of money in this field!
