Q: My AC does not work and i am thinking that it might be related to that but i am not sure. I hae recently added a PA system however it seems to working fine and that fuse is not blowing at all. When i replace the fuse it works for a short time before blowing once more! Please Help: Of course, it is obvious that you either have a short somewhere on the equipment to which the fuses concerned are blowing, or you might be using lower rated fuses than what is recomended by the manufacturer. However, keep something in mind for future reference. Do not keep changing the blown fuses, or you might end up destroying the part that the fuse is protecting! Just change the fuse once, if it blows, do not bother to attempt putting another fuse, until the problem is fixed. Also, always make sure that you replace all fuses with the exact same rated fuse as the manufacturer recommended for that bank. Do not use lower or higher rated fuses, and never connect the fuse terminals with aftermarket wires or conductors.

Q: Okay, so I have this light that has been lit up for a while now and I looked it up in my car‘s manual book, and it said it was the engine coolant light. What is that-antifreeze??? Also, for some reason, my oil light keeps flashing, and then it will go off for a while, and then start flashing again. I just had my oil checked last week! What could it be? And where can I go to get these 2 things checked out?: If there's something wrong with your engine cooling system, your heat gauge would rise fast and keep getting hotter. For the light, I would go to a mechanic or even an auto parts store and ask them to plug your car into a computer. They will be able to tell you what is causing the light to come on.

Q: I replaced my steering wheel on an olds intrigue, the manufactures steps for disconnecting the srs system were followed. But the air bag light is now on and I dont want to pay the dealer to do the diagnostic. Everything is hooked back up properly and auto zone and other places i have tried dont have diagnostic testers with srs capability. Thanks in advance for any help!: take out your gauge cluster and in the back of it find the air bag light bulb and simply remove it. Simple and easy. Hopes this helps!

Q: I am a Light Wheel Mechanic in the US Army,I have an Associate Degree in Auto/Diesel technology,and I also have worked at Midas,Monroe Muffler,and a Toyota dealership.I have roughly around 10 years as a technician.I am just curious what you all feel your weak points are when it comes to your mechanical abilities or knowledge.I feel my strongest area is electrical diagnosing,and my weakest is Auto transmissions.: mine has always been transmissions,i hate working on those,any other aspect of it im fine with,but on transmissions i don't like working on the newer ones at all,the older ones, say 25 years and back im fine with,but not the newer ones,the get too complicated,and taking them in and out isn't too much fun anymore,it wasn't bad when i was young but the older you get the harder it gets,i send all mine out now and have them done, i never did like working on those,but today that seems to be where the most work is at in transmissions,good luck.

Q: I have a 2003 Mazda 6. Two weeks ago my check engine light came on. I was told that the code was 126 - And that there was a problem with the coolant system and obtaining optimal performance. The thermastat was replaced and all was OK for a week. However today while driving, I noticed the light come back on. The dashboard guage showed that the engine was running colder than normal (even after for driving on the highway for over 40 miles). Any ideas why the car would be running cold? Is it a bad idea to continue driving the car till I can get into the shop? I would like to have an idea of what needs to be fixed before I bring the car in - As they are always trying to take advantage.: Go to an Auto zone or O'rielly's or some place like that. They can get the computer code. It will either be free or a small fee.

Q: I left my lights on one day when it was raining really bad outside, and the next day my battery was dead. Up until then, I haven‘t had a single electrical problem, battery died before but i replaced it and the car was fine. This time however I replaced the battery and a day later my car stalled on the side of the road. I got it checked out and i was told that my alternator wasn‘t keeping my battery charged. I replaced the alternator and now my battery still isn‘t staying charged.I‘m not sure what could be the problem. I‘m thinking there may be some bad wires or something just preventing the battery from being charged or the battery is just bad. Multiple times i got that battery tested and it came back unstable but then they would test it again, it would say its fine and try to recharge it rather then letting me exchange it for a new battery.I need opinions, what do you think could be wrong with my car and how much on average would a repair cost?: well sounds like there is a bad cell in battery not allowing it to charge have it tested again and if it comes back unstable have it warrantied for another one

Q: I installed some subwoofers with my friends today in my 2010 nissan frontier, now after everything is reconnected, the red airbag light next to my speedometer wont stop blinking. anybody know whats wrong with it? How do i get it to stop blinking? are my airbags still connected or on or whatever so they deploy if needed? everything else appears fine except this dash light. Please help. Thank you: The blinking light means something is wrong with the airbag system. An auto parts store might be able to read the computer code, or you might have to go to a dealer.

Q: I have a Camaro SS 2001 and the headlights and interior lights like dim and flash, I think it is because of my head unit taking up the power from the battery or something. Is there anyway to fix this?: Unless he mentioned that as part of his price when he took the job, it should be yours. But, you may have a fight on your hands to keep it now. I think I might talk to a lawyer if you really want it that bad, depends on how much there is, I guess, first visit to lawyer is usually free. Oh, and I wouldn't let him raise his price now if he doesn't keep the copper, that's just not right. Good luck.

Q: I was driving down a road and hit a little dip too fast. Then after that in order to slow down or stop I have to press my breaks to the ground. Also my emergency light is on even though my break isn‘t and that happened at about the same time as the breaks. Does anyone know what it is, how to fix it, or if its safe to drive 6 hours away tomorrow?: will if your brake pedal goes all the way to the ground then you got a leak somewhere. and no it is really not safe to drive it before getting it fix.
