Q: I have a 1995 curris. My check engine light comes one after 10 minutes of driving. i took it to a shop to find out what the deal was, the auto guy was like when you drive it you can feel it when the car drops cylinders. what is the cause of this? i get reg. oil changes since i do alot of driving. once a month i have to put fuel injector into my tank, what should i do? some one reconmmended to me that i should like clean out the engines system or whatever with some fuild type stuff. if you think u know what im talking about, do you think that will work? at tymes it does have a burning smell.
Usually dead cylinders are the result of an ignition system malfunction, such as a fouled plug, bad spark plug wire or coil, as well as a couple of other possible culprits. If the shop you took it to couldn't find out what the cause was, take it to another shop. You can also go to Checker Auto, Autozone, etc., and they will read your 'check engine' light for free. If you have a misfire, the code will come up as a 'cylinder number x misfire', or 'multiple cylinder misfire'.
Q: Just curious. I see the auto flush toilets and urinals (red blinky light where the flush handle used to be) quite a bit nowadays. How does the auto flush mechanism get its power? Is there just a battery or two in there? I don‘t see any electric running to them.
Batteries it is, those red blinky lights don't ask for much energy.
Q: What Should I Do?
usually its the seat belts/as you want to keep the year make and model secret thats all i can offer
Q: Abs light is lit. How can I resolve it? And if I want to repair it by myself, what car diagnostic tools should I buy and use. If it doesn‘t repaired, what will happen?
I had 2 cars did same thing I replaced front rotors on both the shaking went away
Q: It is a 3.0l OHV flex-fuel vehicle. The dealership says its a fouled up injector but they wont show a printout of the computer reading so i cant be for sure. If there is anybody who has same problem or knows the answer I would really appreciate it!
most dealers don't have their diagnostic computers hooked to printers. I know we have 6 testers in teh shop with only 2 hooked to printers. But how will a printout show that's it's a fuel injector to you unless you know what to expect from the printout? Usually the time it stays open is either too long or too short but usually is found by trial and error replacement with pulling it out and swapping with another injector. I've done a home brew version of opening an injector to chek for spray pattern before but that car onlly showed a miss when first started and ran perfect at every other time. Since they have to back up their diagnostics, let them change it and then get on them if their diagnostics are wrong. A lot of service writers will instead explain what is going on to cause the light if asked nice enough.
Q: Why is the car headlamps often fire line
There are often FireWire, that is, relay control side of the terminal chant!
Q: I have a 96 chevy cavalier that I had to get work done on last year for a new fuel line. Soon after that, the gas tank was leaking. Mechanic said there was no connection, 2 seperate incidents. I had him patch up the gas tank for cheap. So fast forward 12 months later and I can‘t get my tag because I can‘t get emissions because all of the sudden my check engine light is on. I took it to advance autoparts to have their computer read my car‘s computer for a reason and he mumbled something about emissions error and then immediately said it was the gas cap. I checked the gas cap and it was good and tight and nothing wrong with it. The other day I smelled gas inside my car. I can‘t help but wonder if the patch job that the mechanic did has worn out and my gas tank is leaking again causing my check engine light to come on? If somebody could please help with some advice. I am inbetween jobs right now and I need to get my tag and can‘t afford to have my car repaired.
There isn't a lot else you can do but get it repaired. If you have a code P0440 or close to it (eg. P0441 or P0442), your car is indicating a fuel and or vapor leak that needs to be fixed before the light will go out. If you smell gas, I would look there for the problem. Common causes are rusted out gas tank or filler tube, cracked tubes on or to the vapor canister, loose or damaged gas cap, getting gas with the engine running. etc
Q: It came on early in the morning. My plan was to stop by my auto shop on the way home from work and get it checked out. On the way there, the car started to shut down (first the radio display, then the headlights, then the airbag light came on) until it finally died all together. I had the old battery and alternator checked out, both tested good but I swapped out the battery after cleaning the terminals on the old one and the car dying again soon after. After the new battery was installed, it is still giving me the Charging System Failure message, although everything in the car (headlights, cluster, dome light) are all on and significantly brighter. I‘ve looked at the electrical system fuses and none of them appear blown. The only thing I can think of is it is still the alternator or I have a short somewhere that is draining my battery. Any help would be appreciated.
If you took time to read the manual in your glove compartment you'd know that the alternator is not charging between 13.5 - 14.2 volts with the engine running.
Q: maybe its 1000 - 1500 only does it in nutural and park and drive when at idle runs and drives great doesnt overheat has 154,000 miles i really need some help please i have 3 kids i changed the iac already but nothing changed!!

Q: Will the car headlamps have an aging class how to fight the pump?
