Q: Alright, so I was flying mission in Flight Simulator X called Rome-Naples Airline Run, and whenever I‘m about to land, my throttle adds full without asking me anything, thus making me impossible to land, sometimes also saying don‘t sink, don‘t sink. I think that system thinks that I‘m about to hit the ground and crash, but, that‘s exactly doing in landing right, I mean you hit the ground and it lands? Now, I assume I didn‘t set something right, and it doesn‘t know that airport is there. Could someone tell me, how should I set that so it doesn‘t thinks that I‘m about to crash?: Kill the Auto pilot button and re set. Light's on below 10,000. Down load the flight manual for your air craft. Sink rate is your descending to fast, so your nearing stall speed. and so the to/go is adding the power needed. Q: I called Pep Boys & Midas and a few others but they all indicated that they don't do service for it. The SRS light has been for awhile on my 2000 Honda Accord Coupe. I still don't know the price range for removing the SRS airbag light.: The SRS (supplemental restraint system) system will throw a light and the light will remain on until the problem is fixed, as this is a safety issue.You will not be able to just clear the light. If you recently had a front, side or rear- end collision or even a small fender bender, you might have damaged any one of several impact sensors on the vehicle. (each vehicle's sensors vary by manufacture usually 2 but there might be more ) First i would have the light checked for the code in the computer. This can be done at any credible repair facility that has a OBD2 scanner, and then you will know the price range. ( price range for sensors and the computer depends on the year, make and model of the car.)

Q: The ATTS light came on in my prelude. Whats it mean and what should I do.: Something is wrong with your Active Torque Transfer System. Essentially that's your computer-controlled traction control system. If you don't want to take it in to a mechanic (for this I'd recommend someone that specializes in Hondas), you could use a code scanner to download the error codes from the computer to get more information. Most auto parts stores will have one you can borrow for free to use in the parking lot.

Q: I have a 99 Grand AM GT. Service engine light came on. Took it to auto zone for a diagnostics test, the test said bad gas cap. I bought another gas cap, and replaced the potentially faulty gas cap. the light is still on. Of course it could be another problem regarding the evap system.How long can it take for the service engine soon light to go away after a problem has been resolved?: HONESTLY I DONT THINK IS GOING TO TURN OFF PRETTY SOON, IT MAY UNESPECTALLY BUT TO BE SURE TRY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY FOR A WHOLE DAY AND NIGHT AND MAYBE IT SHUTS OFF.

Q: I have to put my key in the little keyhole next to the gearshift to get it to reverse. My brake lights don‘t come on but my headlights do. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks for any help.: There is a safety switch attached to the brake pedal. It must be activated by pressing on the pedal to activate the safety switch for the shifter. Seeing that the brake lights are not working, I'd start by looking for a blown fuse. Then progress to having that switch replaced.

Q: I have not seen any information on MagLev in a very long time. Has the Petroleum Auto Industries caused the end to any type of R/D in this area?: Still implies that they were at one point. Maglev has always been more expensive than conventional rail. The 19 mile line in Shanghai cost more than $1B to build. It's not very popular because it doesn't go all the way to the city center from the airport, and costs $11 for a 16 minute round trip. The Maglev system in Nagoya is currently operating at about a $26M/year loss. There are several systems in various stages of planning, but only 1, in Beijing, is actually being built now.

Q: when i was driving my ABS, service engine soon, and trac off lights came on and nothing else changed(sound of the car, temp, etc.) the check engine light has been on for around 9-10 months but we were pretty sure it was just the O2 sensor b/c thats what is was a couple weeks b4 it turned on again. any ideas on what‘s going on with my car? is it just the fuses or something?: It is not the O2 sensor and a fuse will not cause this light to come on. ABS is the brake system as is the trac light. Not to worry, this will not cause a problem with braking, your system just reverted back to a standard normal brake set up with the ABS. You may just have a bad ABS sensor at one of the wheels, or dirt may have lodged into the sensor. Most shops can use a scanner to read the codes that were set when the ABS stopped working, Auto Zone will do this for free. Then just have the ABs repaired and the car will be back to normal. good luck

Q: I went to Auto Zone and got codes. Yikes I have 5 different ones. Guy said all but the first could be linked to transmission. So here‘s the codes: PO171system to lean, bank ox; PO743torque converter, circuit electrical; PO1401Manf. control auxiliary, emissions controls; PO1507Manf. control veh. speed, Idle speed control, auxiliary inputs; PO1744Manf. Control, transmission. I had the transmission replaced with used one last year. It seems OK, but after I drive it a while the OD light starts flashing. But the real rough idle when car is stopped is really bothering me. It is worse when it is in drive, but still bad when in nuetral or park, so it may be related to transmission. It reminds me of the way a stock car idles, but my car is far from being race car. PLEASE help! Also, if you know where I can get suggested parts at a good price please let me know.: I have to agree with the certified mechanic who also answered you - partially. The AutoZone down the street from my apartment has employees who have worked as mechanics and are/were certified. But I estimate that 95 out of 100 auto parts stores (regardless of the chain or franchise) don't have knowledgeable employees. So, yes, take your car to a reputable shop (or the dealer - if you don't mind paying a hefty price) and have them look it over. Get it fixed, then, if you still want to save a buck on diagnosis, ask around to find out if any of the employees of any of the parts stores around you have ASE or similar certification. Don't take the word of anyone who hasn't spent half their life studying cars and actually working on them. Listen to the certified mechanic. There are too many variables to give an online answer to your problem. Take the car to a shop and fork over between $40 and $100 for them to do a computer diagnosis on it (estimated price range in the lower 48 here, in the USA). That estimate is based upon most places either charging a minimum of ? hour or 1 hour labor just to hook up the computer and read the codes and try to come up with a diagnosis. Further troubleshooting will probably be necessary - most likely at an hourly rate. Then there will be the actual repairs.
