Operations Conditions
1. The medium temperature should not be over 60oC, the density 1200Kg/m3, and the pH value within 5-9.
2. During running, the pump must not be lower than the permitted lowest liquid level.
3. Rated voltage 380 V, rated frequency 50 Hz. The motor can run successfully, only under the condition the deviations of both rated voltage and frequency are not over ± 5%.
4. The maximum diameter of the solid grain going through the pump has not to be larger than 50% of that of the pump outlet.

- Q: Can I put in fluid and drive to the Service Station or should I have it towed? The fluid flows out as fast as I put it in. Thanks!
- Depends on how bad the leak, and the condition of the bearings. If the pump is just leaking you may be OK. If the fan is mounted directly to the pump and is grinding or wobbling around, don't do it. The fan could break loose and cause expensive damage. Good luck

- Q: I have a 1997 Honda Civic DX and i recently took it in to have its timing belt and water pump replaced. Since then, I have noticed a change in the cars performance. I have lost both gas mileage and power since i took my car in. The maintenance supposedly took the dealer twelve hours to complete which seemed a little odd to me. Do you think this is linked? I just remember getting a lot more miles to a tank of gas, and my car was about the same speed as a friend of mine's who now smokes me. Thank You.
- 12 hours on a civic DX. I am a honda mechanic and I will say that this job only takes 2 hours, 4 hours if your slow and never done it before. Mind you this includes timing belt, water pump, cam seal, crankshaft seal, serpentine belts, valve cover gasket, spark plugs if needed, Honda coolant, and valve adjustment. If you are 1 tooth off on timing your Honda will run, but it will run very rough. Sounds to me like they may have the timing 1 tooth off, 2 teeth off and the car just wont run and if it does it will barely run. This car needs to be taken back and everything i told you should have been done and done properly. What probably happened is the dealer let an apprentice work on the car, since this civic is the easiest to do a timing belt on. However its still their fault that it was not done properly.

- never, ever run it dry. Make sure there is enough water in it, especially when you first put everything back together. Massage the hoses and keep filling it. Try to get all the air bubbles out before you start it. A bad water pump quickly, very quickly, leads to a bad head gasket. So a $300 job turns into a $1200 job in a matter of minutes.

- Good question (finally). It will pump weakly if it is not turning fast enough or is leaking at a seal. If you have a faulty belt that is slipping it will not turn fast enough. Go to another mechanic.

- You need more estimates - those prices are way (!!!!!) overpriced; keep a gallon jug of water with you at all times and check the radiator fluid level when the engine is cold [NEVER when hot] and get 3 - 5 estimates from different garages

- IF the pump can produce a static pressure of 8.5e+5 Pa, then it can support a column of water, h h = P/(rho*g) = 8.5e+5/(1000*9.8) = 86.7 m h = 87m Now, the water will have no velocity, so you can't use it effectively, but that's not what the problem asks!
- Q: i already removed all bolts including the fan except for the last bolt on the water pump which the serpentine belt rides on the bolt backs into that so i am trying to find out how to get the bolt from the serpentine belt pulley off do i have to pull the serpentine pully off and if so how there is no bolt or allen holding the serpentine pully onim just trying to replace the water pump
- If the pulley is bolted from behind, the bracket has four bolts that mounts it to the block, you need to find those bolts remove the pulley/bracket assembly. If it is a 3800 engine you might need the plastic elbow from the bracket to the the intake manifold also. Coolant flows through that elbow to the heater hoses. poor design, I know but what are you gonna do? Got to love tose engineers LOL. Good luck

- The leaking water is telling you that the pump impellor is worn and you need a new pump. Sealed Unit, cant be repaired.
