- Q: belt removal mercury cruiser water pump?
- The pump bracket pivots that allows the belt to be removed. I've seen a few where the alternator belt is over the top of the water pump belt, so you have to remove it first. Actually a pretty easy job.
- Q: Our water pump had a leak in one of the pipes which kept making us Los the prime. I've replace the piping so it no longer leaking but I can't get I to work. The pump runs but the water doesn't move-. The pressure says it is at 50 but nothing. Also its a sahllow well pump jut bought last sprig.Any ideas? Sorry for the bad grammar new to this tablet.
- replace the sump pump or try placing a check valve in the line if the pump it too far away from the water source
- Q: how much is it to replace timing belt and water pump on a Chrysler voyager 2002?????
- Two engines were available in the 2002 Voyager - a 2.4L 4 cylinder engine and a 3.3L V6 engine. The 4 cylinder was timing belt driven but the V6 uses a timing chain with no set replacement interval. Replacing the timing belt and water pump in the 4 cylinder is going to be $500-$850.
- Q: Looking for a pro's advice here. My Corolla has developed a strange noise over the past few cold weeks (Highs of 10 degrees max, well below zero at night). The sound would best be described as a cricket-type rythmic chirp noticable during acceleration. I don't believe it's a belt because it comes and goes though it has steadily gotten louder. I vaguely remember this sound being related to a bad water pump I had a few years ago. Do you think this could be the same thing? Three years for a water pump? And do water pumps tend to go out more frequently in the cold weather? Thanks!!!
- Why don't you take it to a pro?
- Q: just changed the water pump on my lower unit installed the lower unit and started motor now there is no water coming out of the upper flow tube is it becouse the engine is not warmed up yet or is something not lined up ...........
- It shouldn't take long for the water to come out. Make sure the site tube isn't plugged up. If not, check your installation out.
- Q: I just posted another question a few minutes ago, but not really much help with the one answer I got. I'm now sure that what part I'm feeling on the back of the engine block is the water pump on my 97 Grand Am 2.4L twin cam POS car. I somehow got my hand back there enough to take pictures to see what I'm feeling. Noticed in one of them that there is a bolt missing! This area was very wet with coolant. Would this bolt missing cause the pump/cover to leak? Makes sense to me. If all the bolts aren't there, then there wouldn't be proper seal, right? Had this engine put in a few months ago. The guy who did it seemed to miss a lot of things.
- Yes, a missing, or broken bolt on the water pump can cause a leak. Either way, if you are showing coolant from the bolt hole, or around the gasket area, it is most likely due to the seal not being tight with the missing, or broken bolt. You must check to see if possibly the bolt has broken off, and not merely been left, or worked out. Most times when a bolt appears to be missing, it is broken, and part still remains in the threaded part. If this is the case the water pump must be completely removed to get the broken bolt out, and then install a new gasket, and all the proper bolts. Tighten them to the proper specifications. It doesn't hurt to use a gasket sealer when you install the new gasket. It's messy, but I find the best to be Form-a-Gasket #2. This is a non-hardening gasket sealer, and very sticky. It is actually much better to use than silicone, but not easier. To check to see if you have a broken bolt just stick a pin, or toothpick into the hole to see if it will go deep into the threaded portion of the mount. In your pictures it appears that there is nothing behind the mount lug, so a pin, or toothpick should go completely through the hole. If the bolt is broken off with the threaded portion still in the mount you will feel it with what you use to probe the hole.
- Q: I'm going to be purchasing a laboratory distillation kit here pretty soon, the kit includes everything I need for the setup but the condenser requires a water pump to circulate cold water around the coils. What kind of pump would you recommend for this purpose?
- The only thing you might need a pump for is if you are distilling/refluxing something and it is not all condensing before it reaches the end/top of the tube, resulting in vapor escaping. In that case you would use a bucket of ice water with a submersible pump.
- Q: It stops and every few minutes and when it stops, it sounds like water is running.
- Ok lets go down the check list. 1) Is your cut off switch working good? Turning on and off at proper set pressure. (I don't know what you may have yours adjusted to. Mine is on at 70 off at 95.) 2) Is your expansion tank (or pressure tank) water logged? Knock on it. Does it sound full or partially full. Full is bad. You will need to shut off the water pump, close off any outgoing ports to the rest of the house, open the drain valve nearest that tank, and press your finger into the shraider valve at the top (the thing that looks like a tire stem valve). Drain the tank only. Then turn the water back on. 3) Do you have water softeners hooked up? Listen closely to the discharge tube. (this may be where it is coming from). IF you hear a leaking it is because the valve spring inside and washers need to be replaced. 4) do you have any other whole house filters? If so check the discharge tubes of them. 5) Do you have a reverse osmosis filter? IF so this is supposed to drain and you will hear it constantly. 6) Look for any water puddles 7) IF all these fail, then replace your water pump.
- Q: A rectangular tank that is 2 feet long, 3 feet wide and 6 feet deep is filled with a heavy liquid that weighs 80 pounds per cubic foot. How much work is done pumping all of the liquid out over the top of the tank? How much work is done pumping all of the liquid out of a spout 5 feet above the top of the tank? How much work is done pumping two-thirds of the liquid out over the top of the tank? How much work is done pumping two-thirds of the liquid out of a spout 5 feet above the top of the tank?I thought that math was hard enough and now they added physics..
- No work required, just hook-up a hose and siphon it out.
- Q: There is a 5.5KW before the pump head is now 25 meters and flow of 20 cubic meters, but not up to the requirements, I think this is like with a motor pump, lift more than 20 meters, the flow is about 40 cubic meters of water pump, please inform the models and parameters, thank you
- Model has: QS-250-40-21, lift 21m, flow 40 square, motor power is 4KW, water pump diameter is 232cmQJ-200-40-26, lift 26m, flow 40 square, motor power is 5.5KW, water pump diameter is 189cmYou can choose the right pump according to your well path.
