- sounds as if something has cloged up the vacume. sit down and take the machine apart, but remember what goes where. You might find the culprit. If not take to a repair shop.

- I wouldn't because of the dirt. Definately don't dry them together, the rugs have to be dried on low heat or no heat....they will melt if there is a rubber backing. good luck!
- Q:I have purchased wool rugs which I really like but they have an odour and we have stepped on prickly objects that, when searched for, turn out to be similar to twigs (approx. an inch or more in length) or seeds woven into the wool. The rugs come from a very reputable rug importer that operates in the United States as well as Canada so I'm somewhat surprised at what appears to be poor quality and am considering returning them. Will I find this with all 100% wool handmade rugs? Does cleaning them make any difference?
- You've been duped. There is no reason in this world why a rug should have twigs or seeds in it.

- Rent a rug cleaner from your local hardware store, first pretreating the worst spots with a spot remover. And see what this does. Cause in any case you don't want to be breathing the stuff left in the carpet. If you own the place, I'd recommend pulling it up (in a corner or doorway), and seeing what is underneath. Or make a canvas painted rug to go over the area, buy a large canvas (dropcloth or the like) give it a basecoat, then your design and then a few coats of poly. Would be easier to clean up, and not as expensive if you decide to toss it.
- Q:What is the best way to clean stains on a seagrass rug? These are from a cat throwing up hairballs. We have tried water, Oxyclean, baking soda, carpet foaming cleaner...Any remedies would be very much appreciated.Thanks!
- Sorry to tell yo uthat the stains are most likely permanent. Seagrass, by nature is a porous fiber. Hence the stains have penetrated the fibers in the rug, and have become inherent, just as a dye would. Your best chance would be to completely redye the rug. It may be cheaper however to buy another, and keep Puss N Boots in the other room.
- Q:Will skateboarding on carpet ( or maybe anyhting) with just the skateboard deck ,( no wheels, trucks), improve the actual tricks on the real thing? Thanks.
- No, it will not help you at all. I can triple kickflip on a trampoline with just the deck but rarely get a double kickflip on pavement with trucks and wheels. They have a completely different feel. I wouldn't recommend getting used to skating on carpet, cause then you will have to relearn the tricks on pavement that you learned on carpet cause they have to be done a little bit differently on pavement.
- Q:a friend heard from a rug dealer that rainbow vacuums were not good to use on shag rugs, but she was in a hurry and never asked why.
- I've had a rainbow vac. for 20 Years, and my mother in law for a least 50 years. It's a great vacuum, I also had shag rug. So someone is just trying to get you to buy their brand. If you want a Rainbow GO FOR IT. It's great for allergies, and air born pollen don't talked out if this. They are FANTASTIC.

- My okorder and found a local guy with great reviews and we showed him what we wanted with samples, and he ordered it and placed it down, for about 1/2 of what the major store chains charged. No extra charge for removal. He did a wonderful job, and cleaned up after themselves. They also moved the furniture for us. :-)

- You can clean the carpet with the following process: 1) Vacuuming carpet for collection of all loose dirt particles. This step insures dirt and grime will not be ground into your carpet upon agitation. 2) Pre-spray application of our cleaning solution. The solution is applied evenly throughout the carpeted area. 3) Agitate the carpet. Agitating the carpet allows for the cleaning solution to really cleanse the carpet fibers. 4) Use hot water extraction with the equipment. The extraction allows for a deep thorough rinse of all carpet fibers. 5) Do some beautiful grooming of the carpet. Giving the carpet a newer appearance look.
