- Nothing easier than braiding. Check out online sites that will give you step by step instructions. I won't put any links on. You can Google it yourself and find all kinds.

- Ripping out the old carpet will cost less than 50$ if its a standard pad/carpet combo. Often for a job that size you can get an installer to toss that in as part of the job but don t assume so. Easy enough to do yourself . Carpet disposal is always a problem too. Check on whats available in your area , through a disposal company , your local landfill or recycling center. Wood installation does go from 3/ 3.5$ a s/f depending on the rate in your area. As far as the wood itself, it can go from 3 $ a s/f for basic 2 1/4 oak to as high as 20 $ a s/f for exotic woods. So your in the ball park or 7$ a s/f ( and up) ..This won t include any unseen floor prep. This is always a good idea to pull the carpet up yourself and inspect the floor. - Unfortunately Gorilla Glue is a polymer and bonds with nylon carpet fibers. You'll have to cut out a patch of the carpet and replace it. Good luck finding a piece to match unless you take a piece from a closet. If you do that cut the damaged piece out first and lay ti over the replacement piece and CAREFULLY cut an identical patch. Tape in and glue the patch with carpet tape and adhesive. Make sure the pile and pattern match. Good luck.
