Q: Someone spilt some blue WKD on my cream carpet and I've tried carpet stain remover, white wine and an industrial carpet cleaning machine. Are there any other ways which will remove the stain?: I don't know what wkd is, but here is a way to remove most stains that can be removed. A cup of warm water with 2 drops of a liquid laundry soap, mix well. Using your fingers dampen the carpet fibers. Try not to get the back of the carpet wet. After the carpet is wet , make a big pile of white paper towels on top of the wet spot. Now put a weight on top that will not rust or bleed from the water. Maybe a cookie sheet with a brick on top. Leave it covered for 12 to 24 hours. Remove . Look at the paper towel if the stain has transferred to the paper you are on the right track. Just keep doing it until its gone. There is a chance that the wkd has removed the color from the carpet and you can not fix it. Also you may have set the stain with the wine. For your information carpet cleaners have equipment and stain removers that home owners can not buy. Calling a carpet cleaner is a lot less money than replacing the carpet. One last word , your home owners insurance company may cover the cost of replacement.

This is my minimum for my cob mare, clipped (ranging from a full clip to a trace depending on work load). She's stabled at night and out every day. I'll often have 3 stable rugs on at night in the winter and I'd say our minimum temps are similar to South East as I'm in a pretty sheltered area and low. You could get away without the medium weight turnout but you do then need to use a stable rug under your rain sheet as there are a few months where they need some padding but not the full heavy weight.

Q: I have a big rug in my bathroom (Not huge, its about 5' x 3').. it's thick and has a thick rubber back. I don't know how to describe what it's made of, but it's not the usual kind of rug you would find to go around the toilet (with a toilet seat cover to match), it's a more expensive rug and the threads kind of loop up and back in.. lol Does that make sense? The rug looks better if you dry it in your dryer, but eventually the dryer will cause the rubber backing to come of in little pieces. I dry our bathroom rug in the dryer anyway, but end up having to replace the rug every couple of years because the backing has come off. The backing won't come off if you hang the rug to air dry, but the rug doesn't look nearly as fluffy or pretty. It's a personal choice on how to dry it...machine or air dry, but you can wash that rug right in your washer...warm water not hot. Again, hot can ruin the backing. -

How much will it cost!: You have 35.6 square yards so take that times 25 and you end up with $890.00 for that much carpet. Don't forget the pad and installation fee, sometimes it is included sometimes it is not. How I got my answer is 20*16=320 sqft. There are 9 square feet in a square yard so you divide 320/9=35.55555555555556 any carpet seller will round this off to 35.6 square yards. take 35.6sqyd * $25 = $890.00 for that much carpet. To Rob S remind me never to buy carpet from you! to get the square feet of the room you multiply the length and width 20*16 = 320 sqft for the room. Now I know that carpet rolls come in 12 and 15 foot wide rolls, and that the carpet can be sold either way by the sqyd or sqft. Just because you do it one way does not mean it is the only way.
