Q:can i pop them in the dryer briefly? or would they burn the rugs have a rubber bottom . thanks also wat cycle should i useDOnt be rude: I wash the rugs on the regular cycle by themselves. Because of the rubber backing don't put them in the dryer. Lay them out somewhere. (You could put them in the dryer without any heat - fluff air or whatever your dryer calls it - but I find without heat not much drying takes place anyway, and the rugs get a little extra beating up that they don't if you lay them out to dry.) I wash the shower curtain by itself on gentle (if necessary). This, too, shouldn't go in the dryer because most curtains have that vinyl strip across the top where the rings go through. In answer to your question, though, can you wash everything together? Sure. You could if you had to. Most people don't.

So, I'll answer both ways. If you want to use the cheapest means possible to clean carpet, remove odors and get down to the padding, a steam cleaner with 2/3 water and 1/3 vinegar will do it. Otherwise, use the detergent and solutions recommended for the type of machine you have or rent. If you want to clean the carpet without a machine, you have a couple of choices both are not expensive. You can use dry carpet cleaning granules, Resolve and Capture both make them. You just sprinkle them down, agitate into the fibers with a brush on a stick, let it dry and vacuum it up. Or you can use a foaming cleaner, like Woolite or Scotchguard Foaming Carpet Cleaners, use a damp mop to work it in and a brush to treat stains, allow that to dry and vacuum.

Q:I want to make a bathroom rug/mat for around the toilet with a piece of carpet. how can I cut the carpet in that shape: Start with any thing from cardboard ,construction paper to just plain newspaper and cut your shape you want and for a nice shape and cut to fit around the stool. Mark the top and bottom with a marker. Turn your carpet pc over and set you template cut out over this remembering to turn that over too. Cut carpet from the back side, cutting just through the carpet backing. Best to use a regular carpet knife but the next best is a utility knife or sometimes called a Stanley knife. These work better than a box cutter but a box cutter will work. Careful not to cut to deep and cut the flooring or surface below.. Old pc of plywood works well since then you can cut through harder.
