Q: My 4 year old cat only pees in his litter box once after the litter is changed. Then he pees on everything! From rugs, to carpet, to clothes left on the floor. We've washed every rug he's peed on, just in case it's a territorial thing, but he just won't stop.
final 365 days my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the night and by no ability got here back. i admire cats and the domicile did not sense an identical without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She became very annoying and could pee everywhere in the domicile. i stumbled on Cat Spraying No More??? on the internet and the suggestions worked fantastically much in the present day. i've got not had a project with Lola on account that. mind-blowing! can not end your cat peeing interior the domicile? Then hassle not extra...
Q: I am looking for a recipe that I can put in a spray bottle. A lot of the homemade concoctions I'm finding are ones that require dumping and rubbing into the stain, which I don't want to do as I have hardwood underneath and I've already overwashed my carpets from when my dogs were puppies. A lot of the store bought cleaners have discolored my carpets. I would like a solution I can spray on and blot up. Thanks
Depends on the style of carpet and type of stain. The best all rounder would be Solution of 1 teaspoon of approved carpet detergent with 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 litre of warm water.
Q: I usually take more care when i use pastels but i really felt like doing something creative in the spur of the moment so i got out my soft pastels and art supplys and when i was done i noticed some pastel got on the carpet does anyone anyone know how i can get rid of it?BTW my mum only just put a new carpet which was pretty expensive in so i need to get rid off it without her knowing preferabbly or shel be really mad :SPLEASE HELP!!
Some carpet stains can be removed with a paste of 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar and 1/4 cup salt or baking soda. Rub into the carpet stain and let dry. Vacuum up the residue the next day. (Always test on an out-of-sight part of the carpet first).
Q: We just got laminate flooring. It's tongue and grove and looks like shiny cherry wood. We have a 5x7 area rug in the middle of the floor, it's just a simple flat maroon area rug bought from Walmart. Is there anything I can place underneath the area rug that won't scratch the flooring and that will keep pet stains from seeping through to the laminate flooring. I have a 16 year old dog and he pees everywhere and for some reason he's fond of area rugs. I've pulled the carpet up to find that the pee has seeped through. Also because of the seepage I'm afraid of thoroughly cleaning the soiled area, such as with a carpet cleaner, because of the cleaners seeping down to the laminate.Thanks.
Hi - We have laminate (tongue and groove as well) and we have a new puppy who isnt house broken yet and is fond of rugs, why is that? Anyway, what we bought some of those pee pads and put them underneath the area rugs. If it seeps through then it hits the pee pad and we can remove it and replace it with a clean one - once we wash the spot of course. I put a little double sided tape between the back of the pee pad and the floor to hold it in place. So far that has seemed to work.
Q: OK, my pet pooped on the carpet, didn't notice it for awhile. It dried, I picked it up, vacuumed the carpet as well as I could, sprinkled a little (not too much) baking soda into the carpet and rubbed in it. Then I put diluted vinegar (half and half with water) in a container and soaked a paper towel, wrung it out and scrubbed the carpet with it. I didn't use a whole lot of vinegar, about half a cup solution (which would be 1/4 cup of water, 1/4 of water) for an area the size of a large cutting board.I plan on leaving it overnight and in the morning scrubbing it out with a bit of water - will the vinegar harm the carpet in the meantime or am I OK? Nothing was put sopping on the carpet - the paper towel was just damp.
Allowing the poop to dry is the correct thing to do. If you seriously try and clean damp/moist poop from the carpet, there is a chance you will rub it in, making the removal of it more difficult. White vinegar is a mild acid and will not harm the carpet, many people will use it to blot out coffee stains from the carpet. Baking soda will not harm the carpet either, it will however, be a little hard to vacuum back out with out a beater bar on the vacuum. You did ok, if you ever have serious diarrhea on the carpet from the pet, leave it alone and leave the home, do not rub it in, and call a pro.
Q: I recently bought an area rug and it has a wrinkle I guess you would call it, in it. Its soooo annoying, we're tried re-rolling it the other way and vacuuming it out, ironing it out, and putting heavy things on it to make it stay flat. Its a beautiful carpet but I hate the big wrinkle!!! Help me get it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Q: Our cat pees on our rug and we don`t know why. The main part is we can`t get the smell of the rug. We have this huge piece of tinfoil and it says that he would be scared of it and not even walk on it but he walks right over and starts biting at it. Now that the tinfoil is there he won`t pee on the tinfoil but he finds a new spot on the rug. We spray this stuff on the rug that we got from our vet but it would take like 10 bottles of it to take the pee smell off. Is there anything that you tried that takes up smell our anything you think is good to use? We are thinking off letting him be an outdoor cat so he will pee out there but we are not sure. We also have a we also have one of those squirt bottles that we filled up with water so if we catch him then we can squirt him. But we still need help!
If your cat isnt using the litterbox or cant seem to hold its urine to get to the litterbox in time than I think seeing a vet is necessary to rule out any medical issues like urinary tract infection. If your cat is not fixed that could be the other reason, so as long as your cat is healthy enough getting fixed should solve that issue.
Q: How often do you vacuum your rugs? I do it about once a week and occasionally put down freshner on the carpet and then vacuum it a few minutes later
since i have two cats and one of them sheds like crazy i vacuum about every other day....i usually put down the powder too...it makes the odors go away
Q: There was a leak in our house exactly under our cat litter box, and when the cat would use the box she would kick litter out onto the wet carpet. We tried so much to get it out but nothing works. Its dried into the carpet now and hardened. Anyone ever had this kind of stain?
wash it with soap (any detergent) and brush it with brush or a old toothbrush
Q: How to clean the drink on the carpet!
spread a few layers of white paper on the stain, gently wipe, and then step on it. Repeat this step until the paper is saturated.
