If you happen to have some leftover pieces from the installed carpet you could cut the damaged part of carpet out with a carpet knife and insert a matching piece of carpet in it's place. Other than that you could possibly try to re-stain it with some fabric dye, but it's very hard to find/create an exact match. There are also fabric markers available that could possibly be used to re-color the stain, but honestly I think she needs to fess up to the mishap.

Berber by it s construction you don t see any wear because your walking on the loops. It will mat and crush because it usually , but not always made w/ a softer yarn called Olefen. So check your warranty info on the back of all carpets to compare.They ll add nylon in it to get colors in the yarn because Olefin is a natural stain blocker but a softer, not as tough as nylon. You ll find cheap berbers and expensive ones. If you have pets, give it a 2nd look, since 1 loose or snagged loop (pet nails) and a whole row can be zipped right out via a cat or a vacuum.When picking ANY carpet, get the correct pad and the poundage to match.Minimum 3/8 and 8# pad for berber and 7 / 16 ths and 5 1/2# pad for regular carpet. These will protect you for a warranty GL

I've had my weatherbeeta rugs for two years and only had them washed, not reproofed even though one of my horses is a rug wrecker. I have a TB myself and I know how much of a pain it is to rug them! They are very prone to chills and don't really grow an incredibly fluffy coat. Here in scotland its already reached only 4 degrees at night and my hands are frozen, and plus the wind chill makes it a very cold night. My boys are both in mediumweights without necks at the moment at night and lightweights during the day. However this is also because they are getting clipped next week and I want to prepare them for that and not let them get too soft beforehand!
