Q: The problem with putting a rug on carpet is that the natural nap in the rug and the nap in the carpet work against each other. Makes bumps like you wouldn't believe (even if no one walks on it). Furniture on top of the rug makes it worse.Does anyone else have this problem and if so have you been able to fix it, or at least minimize the bumps on the rug?: You need to purchase a pad specifically for rugs on top of carpets. They are sold anywhere rugs are sold which includes Home Depot, Lowes, Bed, Bath Beyond and more. There are also pads for non carpeted floors so be careful to ask for the right pad. The pads come in defined sizes but can be cut to fit even the smallest rugs. They will keep your top rug from bunching and rolling and they are quite cheap.

Q: cat pissed on my NEW rug as you can tell i'm not happy. I hate to throw it away. That's 400.00 i hate to throw away. I used vinger and soap. pLus i shampooed it. WHat can i do: I just Googled Ashley area rug and noticed that they are made from nylon, one of the points being easy to clean. Can you ask the manufacturer or place you bought it? I'd try just straight white vinegar sponged on and then blotted. I'd then elevate or hang the rug so both sides can air until completely dry. Get a squirt bottle and use it keep the cat off the rug. Q: i get all these fuzz fluffs coming off my wool rug. will it eventually disintegrate into nothing?: Depends what those fluffs are....... uld be natural fluff on the wool, could be broken fibers..............and that's not good. If broken fibers, could be moth damage or other insects living in the wool. Vacuum daily. Have the rug cleaned especially it has had food, animal products, or a lot of foot traffic across it.

If you have pets in your home, wool is not a good choice as the pet will mark the rug with urine, numerous times if given the chance.
