Q:Hi, I have a router connected to the internet, but one of the computer is 80 feets away from the router and it can not get 100MBps. I have force the computer to use 10MBps. Could someone please let me know what will impact the speed of cat5 cabling?
Ok, please note the following: MB/s = MegaBYTES per second Mb/s = MegaBITS per second 10MB/s = 100Mb/s (roughly) Your router and NIC card is 100Mb/s (unless they are both Gigabit - Gb/s which will give you roughly 100MB/s in speed assuming both the NIC and router can support that speed.) I hope this answers your question.
Q:I need 600W of power for my new computer, but all I have is 2 300W, 20-pin power supplies. What I'm wondering is if I can combine the 2 20-pin connectors and turn them into 1 24-pin connector?
relies upon on the producer are you advantageous its basically 20 pin as some 4 pin connectors grasp freely so how many different 4 clusters do you have you will desire to have 2 one million of those would be the different connector you go with except its an exceptionally very very old cheappy PSU inwhich case replace it they ordinary and much less costly 30 bux
Q:I used my laptop as a home computer, most of the time I keep my laptop turned on with the power cable plugged in. Is it good to do that? or is it better to plug the power off whenever the laptop's battery is full? Which one is good for my laptop' maintenance? By the way, everytime I asked this question, people give different answers. So I really need a professional opinion.
Use your laptop as you would a mobile phone. Have it fully charged, then run it until it's almost flat. Once again, the battery does have a memory, as said by another person. and also if it's continuously left in power it can also cook the battery cells so when you unplug from power you may have 5 mins of battery life if that. Ammil makes a good point, however if you asking maintenance wise, his response isn't relevant as he refers to Performance more than anything.
Q:Hi everyone, I recently purchased a PS3 used not slim and am having a tough time with it. For one, I don't even know how to charge my four red dot blinking controller and turn on the ps3. I'm wondering since I got everything hooked up but still not even a red dot on the ps3 when I put in the power cable at the end there is that thing with the three things sticking out, where do I put that? Like a place where I charge my phone? I think that's why I'm having problems. Thanks.
ok. the PS3 uses a standard 3 prong plug, similar to what your PC would use. plug that in, and then into the wall. older PS3's also have a power switch right above the power cord. you have to turn the system on here. after you filp the switch, the PS3 enters standby mode. on to your controller you should have gotten a very short usb cable. the larger end plugs into the system.the smaller into the controller. push the PS button on the center of your controller to sync it. it should go from 4 flashing lights to one. then, it should steady flash position 1 to show that it is charging. one it is charged, or when the usb cable is removed, you should get a steady light. no flashes.
Q:I was replacing the hard drive of my desktop computer but now I don't know where the cable [see picture] fits. it obviously goes somewhere since the computer does not turn on now. The Hard Drive is SATA if relevant. Thank you!
That's the main power connector for the motherboard. It probably plugs into that white socket behind it on the board, but check the motherboard manual to make sure you put it in the right place. It's pretty hard to plug things into the wrong place most of the time, but check to be sure.
Q:will my PSone power cable work on my ps2?
I don't own a PS2 so... I don't know. But probably not. Why not just try it out? Or ask a friend to try it out? :|
Q:on a 600 watt amp will it blow my amp?
no okorder /... make sure that the wire is not too big to fit into the amps terminals or u may have to use a reducer or a fuse distribution block then smaller wire to fit into the amp, the kit may have something to do that but something to consider, look at the amps specs my smaller amps will only accept 8 gauge size cable and that is tight 6 or 4 gauge would never fit but i use heavier gauge wire to a fuse block then 8 gauge in to the amp.
Q:Im planning on buying a psp go usb data and power cable from gamestop but need to know if it charges my dead psp go
No - bought one 2 hours ago, have been charging for 1 hour and it will not come on. Additionally, the orange light does not come on when charging. Maybe it works if it is not already dead, but I can 100% confirm it doesn't work with one already dead.
Q:my laptop power cable is pluged in and turned on but it fails to charge or power my laptop but its in properly and sumtimes works .. any help?
ok....this might not be you power supply cable.. this may be a problem with your powerjack in your laptop, if that's loose, then it won't recieve any power from the cable...it will randomly though..i had the same problem a few months ago, and a little solder job will do the trick! take it to a good local repair guy (or me if you're in the uk hahaha)... and have the power jack resoldered.. try your power supply on another similar laptop to make sure it's not that..but generally speaking..once a power supply's fried..it won't work randomly...all it is, is a transformer and a converter... it would make sense if it was the power jack loose or has a faulty connection to the motherboard :) hope this helped!
Q:Can someone tell me if the computer descibed below would have a plug for a 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector?Intel G33 Chipset Supporting Core 2 Quad and Core 2 ExtremeFull HD 1080P video output4 DDR2 DIMM slots (Supports up to 8GB)Dual Channel Memory SupportFour SATA II SlotsSupports SATA RAID 1 (Mirroring)One PCI Express x16 - One PCI Express x1 - Two PCIIntegrated Intel HD Audio and Ethernet (LAN)Eight USB 2.0 (4 front, 4 rear)
The 6 pin power cable will not come from the motherboard. It will come from the power supply unit into the card. Check your PSU has one before you buy the card. You may need to buy a new PSU but most of them do have it.
