- Engineering carpets are high-grade carpet generally used in the hotel, KTV ,conference room and so on. the ordinary carpet is usually used at home.
- Q: My radiator started leaking and now my carpet is pretty much ruined. I've heard nothing but good about the Rug Doctor machine, but I don't know anything about using or renting the machine. Does anyone know how much it'll cost? Are the attachments needed in order to work the machine? Does the cleaning solutions come with it or is it an additional charge? - Okay I have used one before I owned my own carpet cleaner. I really liked it. The cleaning solutions are an extra charge. I don't remember getting any attachments. I think when I rented one it was like $60 plus the solutions.

- The cheapest way to clean a rug is clean it yourself using rug cleaner or you can rent a rug cleaner from one of the grocery stores for a couple of hours. If you hire a professional it will cost too much.

- Socially responsible? Never with a rug, does not even make sense. Look when buying a rug, spend a littel extra money on a handmade rug. It is more durable, it will last hundred of years if taken care of. I have three Persian rugs that are over 100 years old. They are solid and beautiful. In my girls room I have a man made pottery barn kids rug. Every time I vac the girls rug it gets sheared from the vacuum and is falling apart after one year. This happened as well from a rug from JCPenney. Good luck!

- Q: So last night I got rug burn on my face (fell on carpet and my face slid on it). My dad told me to let it air out, so last night i slept with nothing on it. This morning my mom calls and tells me a nurse she works with told her it needed to be really moist and hydrated, so ive had neosporin/aquaphor/aloe gel on it all day. The nurse said if it dries out and scabs it could scar, so keeping it hydrated wont allow it to scar. In the past couple hours a white layer has formed over most of the burn, what is this? - Q: How to clean out the stubborn stains on the carpet with a simple method
- Coke is easy to wash, if there isn't too much, can squeeze the detergent (whatever detergent, washing powder is ok)in dirty places, then use a toothbrush or small brush to brush gently, until brush off the cola stains. Then use a wet towel to wipe just brushed place repeatly, until you feel there isn't remaining detergent. After getting rid of the detergent, use dry towel to absorb water on the carpet, and then use the hair dryer to dry the wet places!
- Q: I have to clean a carpet that has a red cool aid stain on it? Since it is not my carpet, I have no idea how long the stain has set into the carpet. I am willing to try just about anything short of a beach based cleaner? The carpet is an off white, so it's extremely noticable. Any suggestions, or is this a hopeless case?
