Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

- Q: I just moved into a brand new house to then spill bright red nail polish all over the carpet any ideas on how to get it out without ruining the carpet?
- This happened to me a few weeks ago. Mine was the ENTIRE bottle that my cat knocked over while I was asleep!! I got it out though!! You have to use a lot of nail polish remover....this will make it spread a little, but for me that was ok.. Once I got out what I could with the nail polish remover, I put a mixture of 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide and 1 tablespoon ammonia on it and saturated it. After that, I put saran wrap over it and then put a stack of books on top of it and left it over night. This helped tremendously! Then I just used boiling hot water, carpet cleaner, and a little more nail polish remover to get the rest out. It worked too. - Depends what type of carpet it is. Carpets that have fibers with a memory retention can be brought back with sweeping , or a wet heat. Some older carpets or ones with out memory retention can some times ( some times) be fluffed back up using other tricks. One trick to help avoid the marks , no matter what type of carpet is to move these pcs of furniture once a week , just a few inches and vacuum over the spot to pull them back up.. GL

- It depends on the type of carpet, some use mild adhesieves and others have to be stretched...if it is the kind that has to be stretched you will need a tack strip around the pirimeter of the room and padding cut to fit on the inside of the tack strip, then you will need to rent a carpet stretcher which has teeth on it and get down on your knees and knee kick the stretcher to stretch the carpet towards the tack strip all the way around the room, very hard on the knees....when you get the carpet stretched to the tack strip tap the carpet onto the tack strip with a hammer, good luck.

- Personally, I'd have her in a rug right now. I'm in Scotland and both mine are in middleweights - its dropping to near 0 degrees at night already and I wake up to frost. When she gets clipped she MUST have some form of rug on with weight in it unless its gorgeous weather - when you take away their coat its like taking away our clothes and expecting us to stand in the cold - we can't heat ourselves up and so we get cold very quickly. This is what I said for another answer. Weather for no rugs / fly rugs - HOT weather with no / little breeze. Weather for a rainsheet - Rain but no wind. Weather for a lightweight - Rain with wind, or just wind. Weather for a mediumweight - Rain with a lot of wind, just wind or cold temperatures (basically, as I don't feel the cold, the minute I need to be putting on a jacket is mediumweight weather) Weather for a heavyweight - The coldest it gets. Snow. Below freezing temperatures. Last year in the worst of it I did put a heavyweight stable rug under a heavyweight turnout, it got that cold.
