3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet
Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

- Go to the place near you that sells carpeting. Get the green plastic stuff that looks like fake grass. Some people use this on decks and on boats. If you are using Snogel, this kind of carpet works very well. It's what I use.

- there are two ways to go as i see it- either hire someone to clean your carpets- one of those companies that has a van/truck mounted system can do a good job- if they will take the time to DO a good job- not just a quickie. you can pre-soak some of the stains with a low-sudzing, preferably enzyme based soulution like a laundry pre soak sprayed or poured on before they get there. bleach is not a good idea. they will move furniture for you. The other way, less costly, but good exercise, is to rent one of those machines at the grocery, home improvement store etc. they are about $20-30 for 24 hours- so do it on day off so you can go back over areas that need it since you have the machine for a while. the machines are usually one piece, simple to use, heavy any you are supposed to buy the rug shampoo that they sell with the machine. I have used Mr clean just as well, costs less though they of course dont approve of that. Do the pre soak spots thing the same, put as much furniture in another room, put legs of sofa up on a big cooking pot or mixing bowl to let air underneath for drying. rent the kind of cleaner that sprays the water/soap on, also has a vibrating brush, and then you drag the whole unit backwards with the vacuum area in contact with the carpet. it really gets the dirt and water out. Berber carpet is a little harder because it is bumpy, i have used these many times, i am a do it yourselfer and it is easy. use water as hot as you can get it out of the tub faucet, dump the dirty stuff down the toilet. i have a home rug cleaner and it is lousy too for anything major. your back may be sore when you get done, but it will work great. - I would remove the rugs entirely and not use them on the wood. I would use Murphy's Oil Soap to clean it up. Just put it on a rag and test it in one spot before dong it all over. It should clean it up good. If you have to use the rugs, put down a padding especially for under area rugs. They sell them at most of the carpet stores, and maybe the large box stores. Good luck.

- Frontgate and Grandinroad offer indoor/outdoor rugs that look and feel like quality rugs but are easy to care for as they are able to be hosed down. They come in both traditional and contemporary looks and are great for high traffic areas and kids and pets. I have several of them inside my home and no one knows they aren't a higher quality rug. The Pottery Barn shot tells me you are looking at something more comtemporary so something with some great color choices to perk up the room would be great. These rugs are really inexpensive and great look so check them out. They come in all sizes and shapes. Grandinroad is slightly less expensive than Frontgate but look at both.

- Using 801 strong glue can be fixed, the early will be a little odorous. As long as it is soft gel, it is ok.
- Q: Spilled black hair dye on blue white carpet while touching up roots. Spot shot did not work on the stain even while fresh. Please help!
- Some carpet stains can be removed with a paste of 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar and 1/4 cup salt or baking soda. Rub into the carpet stain and let dry. Vacuum up the residue the next day. (Always test on an out-of-sight part of the carpet first).
