- Hardwood floors. I had a choice, hardwood floors or carpeting. Made the wrong choice and picked wall to wall carpeting. Too much work for me. Don't like to vacuuming, it's a pain in my butt. When my cat gets sick it's always on the carpeting even though tile is right there. I think she does this on purpose. I'm convinced she was out to get me. I finally said, ENOUGH! and had to admit once again I made the wrong choice. Ripped it all up and put down laminate. I love it. It's strong, doesn't scratch, easy to clean, especially with cat around. Give me a soft dust mop any day. Easy clean all the way around. Don't have real wood floors. Chose laminate because it's stronger and doesn't need to be sanded and redone. My opinion, my opinion only.

- Just an average carpet ( which you can get cheaper or pay more) will be around 3/3.50 a s/f. Carpet comes 12 foot wide so the smallest pc you can get to fit your room is a pc 12x9' 6 Thats 114 s/f and at the low end ( you can still get cheaper) of 3$ a s/f thats 342$,, This won t include rip up and disposal and furniture moving ( which you can do all that yourself) . Going with a black carpet ( which will show ever thing) you will limit your self in selection and black carpet generally runs more since its hard to get a consistent dye on carpet being this dark. - Q: i got probably the worst rug burn ever! it broke the skin in two main places. i bled a bit and it stayed red for hours its two days later and my skin around my eye (where i got it) is turning this really sick shade of brownish green. my dad said it'll turn into a bruse and go away after about a week and a half. please dont tell me this is true because i have my senoir pictures to take and i already made the appointment. i made the date for next wensday.

- I like answer #3. This is also my experienced preference. I always seek out a good supplier, for rubberized vinyl floor covering. this stuff is expensive if one does not have contacts in the surplus industry. I have no flooring concerns with this stuff. It is as tough as a conveyor belt.
