3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet
Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

- Yes you can but on gentle and pop only the rugs in the dryer on low heat to get the dampness out. Oh yeah and your shower curtain..depends on if it's the liner or the curtain. If its the liner buy a new one if its really bad cuz they are a pain in the but to clean. If it's the actual curtain sure go ahead and wash it as long as your rugs and your curtain are the same color wash them together gentle and on cold. -air dry your curtain tho,as there is plastic at the top, and would melt in dryer if dried.
- Q:I stay at my current apartment for 8 years, the carpet is not in good condition. The landlord just sent someone to do carpet wash, but refused to replace it. I am wondering if there is any law/regulation regarding how often the carpet needs to be replaced at the landlords/owners expense. Or any way I can request him to replace?Thank you.
- There is no such law. Landlords are never under obligation to replace carpet. In fact they are under no obligation to clean it for you, that is your job.
- Q:ok so my dining room has rug, which im not a big fan of would prefer tile or wood flooring but anyways since its rug i wanted to get an area rug to put underneath my table thats made of some hard material that in case people sill or drop food it can come off easily like it wood if it spilled on wood or tile flooring, has anyone seen carpets like that??? or any suggestions as to what i can put under there?

There's nothing I can do to make them cleaner, so I was thinking about gettinga long rug to go in front of our couch. The couch is a dark green, our carpet is a light beige. Would that look retarded, or like a blatant cover up? And if I get one, what color should it be? Our walls are a light off white.

- Q:We've recently moved houses and have found there is sandflies/biting insects everywhere. Into the afternoon my TB mare especially is being eaten alive by the insects and is rubbing herself on the fences and she now is starting to loose her coat because of it. I'm looking at buying at coat for her that we can put on her to hopefully stop the insects but as well the sun, but I have know idea what type of rug I should get her... We live in a really hot and humid area so we need something cool. Is there anyone who can help??
- There okorder and also maybe on OKorder. I had a TB who had the same issue. Other things that help are: coating them with flyspray every chance you get AND using those Fly Predators things... they really work but I think the season is over for them.
- Q:can olifine pile rugs go outdoors?
- I've used them on my patio, but have experienced some problems particularly if they are rubber backed. Moisture gets between the backing and the fiber to cause little black spots on the rug which are mildew. If it rains and the rug stays hortizontal for any length of time, it will mold as well. The good news is that both can be removed with DampRid Mold and Mildew Remover (the one for fabrics) and it protects the rug from it happening again with little moisture exposure (not drenching, pouring soaking rain). If I'd have known about this product, I would have sprayed it on first before putting it outside and just picked it up when we have a heavy rain to keep it from molding.
- Q:that moves constantly. I'm forever pulling and tugging on it to keep it flat and straight. The rug is located in my living room with a coffee table on it. What can I do, if anything, to prevent this thing from moving around on mesignedtired of tugging. :-)
- You need an area rug no slip pad. You can pick it up at a home improvement store. Another suggestion would be to staple it to the floor. But only if its not concrete or hardwood or tile.
- Q:Do I Put the floor base moulding in before or after I carpet.. It would make sense to do it before because after to patch up the nail holes and repaint it you dont have to worry about getting paint on the carpet but it wont looks as large as the carpet would cover up a portion of it.. So my question is what is the proper time to put it in? Thanks
- either way is acceptable. if you put the base on first, space it up about 3/8 to 1/2 inch so the carpet will tuck under. Carpet installers like to have the base on after because it's easier for them and covers a rough edge.Carpenters like to do it ahead of time so they can be done and can cut in the house without carpet in place. that saves them a lot of steps. from the homeowners point of view, being able to paint the trim without danger to the carpet is a plus, but realize that the carpet installers will bang up the new trim some, since the stretcher usually pushes against the trim. So You'll end up touching up the trim anyway.

- Carpet usually comes in at W= 10',12',14',16' or larger and Length in 50'. They are sold in square feet or square yard. Depend where you buy them. But you can get bigger size if you need from the supply store.
