Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q: I accidentally spilt hot sauce on my carpet any home remedies?!?!
Just pour an asston of bleach on dat ****
Q: I have a small area rug that my coffee table sits on. I notice every day that the rug buckles up and I have to keep lifting up the table and setting and smoothing the rug out. Is there something I can do to keep the rug from doing that?
I use double-sided carpet tape. It's only about $5 for a big roll of it at Walmart and works like a charm. No more tripping over our area rugs.
Q: My living and dining room are one room. (not a huge room) I bought an area rung which I would consider classic. It has about 9 rows of different color rectangles ( beiges, golds, browns, and burgundies) with a beige border for under my dining room table. I saw another rug with basically the same colors but with more burgundy. It has bigger rectangles that are all different sizes. Some are big stripes and not in any particular order. It is hard to describe. Can I put them together? One in the living room and one under the table? From the end of one to the beginning of other there would only be about 18 inches? Thanks
So what we have here is two area rugs that clash correct? Can you put them together? How close are the rooms to each other? If their close, than no, they don't go together. If you must have both rugs try and seperate the one room from the other, by getting decorative deviders of some sort etc. The deviders are nice looking and will take the focus off of the other rug. Hope I helped
Q: I want to have like a bright teal color of carpet in my bedroom but I'm having troulbe finding it. Does anyone know where I can find some? Thank you!lt;3
If you mean wall to wall carpeting, you just have to check at carpet stores until you find the colour you want. They might or might not have every colour in stock but you can look at their samples. If you mean an area rug, it will be really hard to find. I looked for a teal-tone area rug for a couple of years until I found one at Ikea. You can have carpet off a roll cut to size and bound on the edges, too, for an area rug.
Q: My mother recently passed away. I had prepaid her rent for a full year. The bedroom had several stains on it and I recognize the carpet needed to be replaced, and I'm OK with paying for it. The bedroom is around 200 square feet in Connecticut. The landlord took the opportunity to replace the carpet with hardwood. He told me the carpet would have cost $600 installed but he paid extra for the hardwood out of his own pocket. The carpet that was there previously was the cheapest contractor grade material you can imagine. I have a hard time believing it cost $600 at $3 a square foot for cheap carpet installed. Should I be pressing this? I figured it would be $300 - $400, max, for similar off-white basic carpet.
Unless that carpet was near new you would not be responsible for replacement cost. Here's how carpet replacement liability works: Carpet that has been damaged by the tenant due to negligence is pro-rated. Pro-rating is based on the following: 1. age of the carpet 2. quality of the carpet 3. original cost of the carpet. 4. estimated life of the carpet Let us say the landlord paid $1000 for a carpet that has a life expectancy of 10 years. That works out to $100 per year. Let us say the carpet is 9 years old. That means the landlord would be entitled to $100 from you and no more. If the 9 year old carpet were in pristine condition [unlikely] he may get a little more. Whether or not he is replacing the carpet but deciding to go with hardwood is irrelevant. He will be able to apply what money he is owed to the cost of the hardwood flooring. You and your landlord need to address the 4 criteria above before he starts giving you a figure. This can be determined by a carpet specialist or carpet company. If he has already tossed out the old carpet and had no pictures showing its condition then a judge would determine liability based on what would be considered normal wear and tear on a carpet based on its age.

Q: I want to replace my old carpet. It is very standard nothing special. It is 930 sq ft. How much will it cost me?
Empire carpet is just one who will come to your home and install the next day. Why drive around? USE Google or any online search in your area. Pay for the carpet, not the gas. If they are not in your area ask them for a lead for your area if they know one. If all else fails use the phone book. smaller areas don't use the internet.
Q: My dog ripped up the rug and I was wondering if I could sew it back together or stitch it or something. Is that possible? He's ripped it up pretty good, the tears are 2-5 inches long, and half an inch wide at the most. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Is this rug like a throw rug or is it like carpet? Either way you can sew them. If it is carpet, attached to the floor, then cut a small piece from behind a door or inside of a closet. Use that to replace the damaged part by sewing it in. You can make a carpet needle by holding a large needle over the flame on your stove using a pair of pliers. With a second pair of pliers bend the needle into a half circle. Let it cool before touching it of course. Then just sew the piece into the damaged area. I've had to do that many a time with my puppies.
Q: Hi guysI'm moving to a new house and I want to replace the old carpet. But I'm stuck between carpet and laminate/hardwood.I thought carpet is warmer in winter but keep the carpet clean is a tough thing.can you plz give me some ideashave anyone had a carpet? Thanks for you time and help :)
Depends where you want to put the carpet and wood. Actually flooring is all the same temp its just that carpet does feel warmer. Thats why well placed area rugs work out so well on wood. If this house is a long term investment, go hardwood. Properly maintained, it ll last a lifetime. As far as pricing goes, 0n the average ,carpet is overall cheaper than hardwood. But hardwood will outlast carpet when taken care .. If this is a shorter term investment, a good laminate may work out for you.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
