Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q: Grr Overstock wont ship here so i had a 8x10 ft rug shipped to my Moms house...from there I was going to pay to have it shipped here to Guam. But no Fedex wouldnt ship it and UPS either the dementions are either too small or too big. =( then i got hopeful bc a neighbor said OKorder ships here. So I got all excited when I found the same exact zebra print rug on OKorder... but of freaking course it cant be ship[ped here....can someone just bring me a dern black and white zebra print rug ? =( I now have island fever.
Cut it into smaller pieces and carry it home yourself then carpet glue or tape it back together. Why not use the local product - Guamanian striped and zoned in black. Why kill yourself over a dumb rug?
Q: How to distinguish between good and bad of the carpet?
There are two kinds of expression parameters, conversion formula: 1 ounce \ square yard = 34 g \ square meter 3, the pullout force of the carpet decides whether the carpet loses hair easily, the larger the pullout force, the less easily the carpet loses hair, on the contrary, the smaller the pullout force, the pull out the smaller, the more easily the carpet to lose hair. The abrasion resistance of the carpet in the fixed pressure... On the other hand, the discharge in certain occasions may cause harm, by hand touch (texture), feel density. the pullout force of carpets is seen by people's eyes (square yards = 34 grams \ square meter 3. abrasion resistance carpet under fixed pressure. On the one hand, electrostatic accumulation results in dust absorption, bacteria erosion and deterioration, and it has connection with the thickness of the carpet, on the contrary, such carpets have good elastic.
Q: I am moving to an apartment that has hardwood floors. I've never had area rugs before, someone mentioned I would need one in my living room at least..?Thanks
It's not necessary, but they add a nice touch. I'm getting one too.
Q: I spilled nail polish on my carpet awhile ago and now it's dry. I tried Spot Shot and other removers, but it won't come out. ): a Pro is not an answer neither is new carpet. I told my mom today and she freaked and now she is trying to help me get it out.SO. WHAT TAKES DRIED ORANGE NAIL POLISH FROM CARPET??HELPPPPPPPPP.
the only element which will completely get that out could be using scissors to decrease it out - nicely, the pile contaminated. maximum different issues might likely only unfold the colour around and make it worse. you're able to attempt using acetone/nail polish remover yet that would discolor the carpet because it eliminates the nail polish. i desire to advise doing a attempt spot some the place on the carpet that isn't considered lots of the time - this could help understand if the acetone will do away with the colour of your carpet in the previous you ruin it. in case you do finally end up ruining that section, you're able to decrease that section out and replace it with a clean piece. yet, the hot piece might likely be from a different dye lot and not tournament. solid success!
Q: Does anyone know where I can find a large area rug, mostly black with gold detail? I was looking at oriental rugs, but I'm not particularly fond of any of the ones I've found so far. If it was up to me it would be mostly black with some kind of golden chinese dragon in the corner, or just be asian themed. Any ideas!?! Please!
What size are you looking for? And what's your general price range? Area rugs range in value from cheap machine-made rugs to extremely expensive handmade works of art. If you're serious about having this rug, have some money to spend, and are willing to wait a few months, I would recommend a custom ordered Tibetan carpet. There are several small Tibetan rug productions that make high quality handmade rugs in a variety of styles and colors - they'll even work from a design you give them. Typically these rugs can be had for $50-$100 per square foot, and take 3-6 months to complete. If you're interested, you'll want to work with a reputable oriental rug dealer that can help you find the right production for your needs.
Q: its a black cat a few years old and i also have three dogs do they have any thing to do with it
The rug is likely scent marked. Washing it won't help. Try moving it to another room and see if your cat still goes on it. If it does then it's the rug. You can toss it and get a new one or keep it and put it under the litter box.
Q: I have a plain, off-white area rug that I want to dress up a little. I got the idea from a home improvement show where they used paint for the same purpose, but I don't remember the details such as what kind of paint they used or how they were able to completely cover the area desired without having the paint bleed into the rest of the rug. Anyone done this before? Tips?
It is going to cause the rug to be stiff and not feel good to walk on you should use dye. Put the dye in a squirt bottle one like what hair dye comes in and use a sheet of metal to separate the carpet and hold it in place while you dye and leave it there till you are done. Do it out side it will soak through the bottom. You can buy 2 strips of metal that is good to use at lowes and home dept.
Q: thinking of getting 2 of the kool coat lites! (the white rug with light blue lining, and no shoulder gusset)whats your opinion, and if u own this rug, is it a good rug
The Kool coats are good rugs. Personally I don't use the lites, I use the regular as they are more resistant to rips etc. Same rug cut, just a heavier material. If it is hot where you are they will be great for your horse. My fellow had the regular on all summer (NSW/VIC border 44c) and I never found him sweating at all. But if you horse is not in with others who may rip it, the lite will be fine. They are a very generous rug in size, generally don't rub and have a good tail flap. They are a really good price and the sale is going to end soon! Now.... on that note.... I really did not need to be directed to the Horseland catalogue, as I have already spent WAAAAY TOO MUCH already this month!!! Seeing the catalogue reminded of a couple of things I could get, that I really don't need. LOL ;-) They rug will be fine for you. Good luck ;-) ADD - I use the weatherbeeta rugs with belly straps and my cottons don't have belly straps. As long as you have them adjusted correctly they are fine ;-)
Q: How to do if there is a little piece of carpet broken?
It can be filled.
Q: I bought two new rugs and one of my cats has already peed on one of them. I spanker her and told her no and rubbed her nose in it. Is this a good way to train her or can I do something else? This cat destryed a previous rug by peeing on it.
Get a new rug. He will always go back to where he marked his scent no matter how much you clean it because there will always be a trace of it there and cats have a much keener sense of smell than we do. I think rubbing the cat's nose in it is just a little too much. That is just plain abue.
