6.Conditions of use
Pumps used in the following conditions should be continuously to work properly:
1. For water pumps suitable medium, medium temperature shall not exceed + 40°C
2. The medium PH value between 6.5 ~ 8.5
3. The volume of medium containing solid impurity is less than 0.1%, the size is not more than 0.2 mm
4. The power frequency 50 hz, voltage for single-phase 220 v, 380 v, three-phase voltage fluctuation range for rating of 0.9 to 1.1 times
5. Diving depth of no more than 5 m, is not suitable for irrigation and drainage of sewage and chemicals.
- Q:the outboard runs fine and pumps water out with muffs on but when i put it in the water it doesn't pump any water at all. could it be that the impeller needs replacing? what do you think?thanks

- Q:I have a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird LE. It has 4 cyl. and it has 98,000+ miles on it. I took it in to get the oil changed and they inspected the car for a noise it was making. Found out the water pump was gone and the timing belt was worn. Need replacement on both. They quoted me 670.00 for the repair! STEEP! The part should cost about 20.00 max. How do I replace the water pump myself? And the timing belt? Do I need special tools? If I can't do it pretty easily myself, how much should I pay for the repair? I'm not made of money, but I need my car to run to get me to work everyday! I can't afford much, so anything around 200-300 is probably the most I can spend on the repair. What should I do?
- On okorder , your timing belt with cost $15.99 and your water pump will cost $35.19 for a new one. Keep in mind that most shops charge more than that as this is how they make a profit. Depending on what their labor charge is, that doesn't sound too far out of line. I just did a timing belt and water pump on a Chrylser with a 3.5 today and it cost about $600 to do that. The water pump on your car is driven by the timing belt and is not an easy task to accomplish if you have no idea what you are doing. You can easily destroy this engine. If you are not sure how to replace an air filter, this would definately be out of range.

- It probably did. Or he was doing regular maintenance. At least you wouldn't have to change it that's the good thing.

- Setting up a pump is not that difficult. But it all depends on the well itself. Is it 4 inches wide? Is there a drop pipe inside? You can research how submesibles, ejector pumps, and jet pumps work and install. Just do some searches online. It all depends on the type of well.
- Q:I replaced the water pump on my 350 chevy small block and the thing is leaking out of the lower bolt hole on the passenger side. I was told to remove the bolt and coat it with permatex hi tack gasket sealer and reinstall it. Any how I'm wondering why there would be a leak there in the first place, any ideas?
- my first response is, you used a wrong gasket or you mucked up the gasket when you installed it. Then i think of maybe the water pump casting cracked when you tightened the bolt. ( but not likely) . I guess you could try the sealer thing. but you could test it to see if it leaking from under the bolt head. The way you could do that is put a soft washer , like copper washer under the bolt head and put the bolt back in. the soft copper washer will make a water tight seal. if it were me , i would remove the pump and find out what the hay is wrong . i have replaced at least 6 water pumps on my own chevys, and have never had that problem.
- Q:Why should the water inlet of water pump be fitted with reducer?
- Increasing the pipe diameter can reduce the resistance loss along the path and reduce the suction vacuum of the pump! Before the inlet of the pump is a big diameter, when you reach the suction port, and the pump inlet diameter to be consistent, so the use of reducer joints!
- Q:We came home one day to find our bathroom floor soaked, and we had no water at all.we later found out that it was the washing machine hose leaking.Our friend primed the pump but isent an expert..we fixed that problem with a new hose.A few weeks after, we started to notice that when you are in the shower, the water would shut off for a minute and come back on for a minute, so on so on, perfectly timed., and this got worse and worse, yesterday it would be on for like 20 secconds and off for 3 minutes... last night the water was working good but today we woke up with no water.The water taps in the house hardly do it at all. - I'm guessing that you have a well. The others had some good points and I would just like to add that I had a similar problem with my pump. Turned out that the tank had to much air in it and was fooling the pressure switch.
- Q:We've changed the hoses, and thermostat for the radiator. It still leaks coolant but we can't find out where it's leaking from.
- Most likely your water pump is bad and leaking out of the weep hole on the pump, a water pump has a hole in it so when it goes bad water will start to leak water out of it.,The water pump is going to be on one end of the engine behind the timing belt cover , you wont be able to see it without pulling the cover. On most of these small cars the timing belt runs around the water pump.
- Q:I own a 2003 Kia Sorrento and recently I was driving and the car completely died. - Timing Belt has nothing to do with the water pump on my car.. Not sure about Kia.. Running a car without coolant and overheating will wreck the water-pump and possibly crack / warp the head..

- whether it's safe depends on what part of town you'll be in after the first half hour, cause your engine will seize up stop running at that point. basically you'll convert a repairable engine into yard art.
