- If the motor still turns then it is just a bar (armature) that connects them that will have broken. Those labor rates are about right these days (main dealers will be astronomically more.) What I'd do is take it apart and get a replacement part from an auto dismantler, but then I'm a guy and not too worried about cuts and scratches. If they get the part in then it won't even take half an hour to do. Part cost? Who knows, but maybe $50.
- Q: I don‘t have a garage but want to protect my windshield wipers from being frozen on the window. Any ideas? Would wrapping in plastic work?

- Basically you make a higher or bigger windshield so it eventually ends up over you arm. So REALLY exaggerate it and you'll be fine :]

- Q: I have a 87 chevy pickup that the wipers all work but on the lowest setting they seem to go too fast, like not waiting 5 to 10 seconds before going back up on most vehicles. I rly would like to have this adjusted if posible so i aint got to keep turning them on and off during light rain to keep them from rubing on a dry windshield.
- I believe what you need to do is get an after market wiper delay switch. I think your truck is just a 3 speed switch.
- Q: I have a 2003 Hyundai xg350l and the driver side wiper isn‘t getting enough juicegt;
- On average a wiper motor is $100-$150. An hours labor should cover it. Check with your mechanic to find his hourly labor rate. I would also recommend genuine Hyundai parts. Some cheap aftermarket wiper motors are re-manufactured cheaply and often have a short life.
- Q: The wipers had been thawed and refrozen. When we went out and started the Blazer, the passenger side wiped okay, but the driver side did not as it was frozen in. Now when you use them, the passenger side still wipes okay, but the driver side wiper only goes up about four inches when the passenger side wiper is all the way up (vertical). I am afraid a gear or something is sheared off, but I am hoping someone here might know better than I. Thanks for your help.
- You really only need the driver wiper. You can take that passanger side motor and switch it with the driverside. Thats easy fix if repositioning it doesnt work
- Q: 2000 ford contour yesterday i started up my car hit my wipers to remove some snow they worked fine, a couple minutes pass i try to do it again and they dont move but i do hear a metal clunk noise . i just looked at it right now its a loose piece of metal right below my wipers any help
