Q: Or does the wind just blow off the rain when they go really fast?
Many airplanes do have windshield wipers. Some of the smaller planes and those that were in service during WW1 do not have winshield wipers. Airplanes fly through clouds of dust and water. They also need to fly though any kind of weather when they land so they very much need their windshield wipers.
Q: windshield wipers do not work on intermittent setting, but do work on other settings, have to turn them off at the correct moment so that they will not stop in mid stroke. is the motor the cause of this or is it a switch problem 1995 nissan pathfinder
You just wipe it off with a damp cloth, do not submerge in water.)
Q: I have a 95 Toyota Celica and the windshield wiper fuse keeps blowing. As soon as I put in the fuse there is a spark and it no longer works. How do I go about finding out the problem. I‘m assuming it‘s an overloaded wire. What steps should I take to correct this wire/fuse problem. Would putting a larger fuse in work?
do not use a larger fuse! disconnect the wiper motor and try the fuse again, if it does not blow then you need a new motor. if it does blow , then you need to trace the wiper motor wiring for a exposed wire that is shorted to the ground side of the electrical.
Q: I just bought a used 2001 Monte Carlo and the window wipers stay up all the time. They work, but when I stop using them they go back to being parallel. Does anyone know how to fix this or has had the same problem with their wipers and knows how to fix it?? Please help!!
It sounds like the wiper has come loose and needs repositioning. Take the wipers off and operate the wipers and when they stop attach the wipers to the motor and try them and they should be fine.
Q: I have a 1991 ford probe and the windshield wipers only work part of the time I think its the motor going out but I‘m not really sure so I‘m asking for some advice. The only fuse I can find under the dash is the rear wiper fuse I pulled all the fuses the other day and they started to work but they only moved up and little then they would go back down when you turned them off then I started taping the motor and then they started working I got in my car a little while ago and tried to clear the snow off and they wouldn‘t even move a little bit. I popped the hood and tried taping the motor again that didn‘t work but the motor was warm.Any advice here would really help thanks
What jdshirl said is exactly right.
Q: wipers keep running as if I had them turned on, I disconnected the switch to stop them and even bought a new one thinking it would work but no luck. Could it be a fuse? censor?? wiper motor?? and does it have something to do with my a/c air flow control??
I suggest to take the fuse out then head to a mechanic for professional advice. You'd better use the new wifi diagnostic tool to diagnose if you are sure that you can solve it by yourself, or you can also consult a professional mechanic. Easy and Qucik. Applicable to all types of car. You must always monitor your car's current state. The below website may be helpful for you to find the tool. hope it is helpful to you.
Q: ok i bought my truck from this guy and the windshield wipers dont work well i turn them on and they make a tiny bit of noise but dont move so i look under the hood and i have 2 pulgins on mine and on the motor thats what it has but the thing is the top plug in part is to big for the wire harness its 1 prong to big the motor is but it plugs in but it has 1 prong left out so is there a way i can rig it so i can use the wiper motor i mean i can hear the motor working but jsut 1 prong short so what can i do to make it work i checkd everything its getting power thanks
complex step. try searching using search engines like google. it could actually help!
Q: (2000 Chevy Monte Carlo) Okay, user mdk68gto suggested that the problem may be in my fuse box. When my friend relaced my ignition switch, he did not disconnect the battery before working, he just started the work.So if it is a fuse, how do I go about fixing or just by another fuse??
The ignition switch is misaligned. The wipers, along with the radio and other accessories work in the on or run position, then shut off while cranking to give the starter full voltage. The systems come back on when the key returns to the run position. In your case, turn the ignition switch slightly towards the off position and everything should operate. If it does, realign the switch.
Q: I have a 2002 mitsubishi galant. Yesterday it was raining really really hard and only one of my windshield wipers was working (the one on the drivers side). Then this morning both of them weren‘t moving, but it was making the noise it always does when they move (the click sound). I‘m not sure if the wiper motor needs to be replaced or if something else is wrongI would hate to pay $100 for a part if its not needed. Can someone help me please? 5 stars for good answer.
Some wiper arms are fastened to the shaft with a small nut. Make sure they are tight. If they are loose, run the motor a couple seconds and turn it off by its' own switch. Then put the blades where you want them to park and tighten the nuts.
