Q: the windshield wiper switch, and the relay fuses, and checked all other fuses. Still wont work. Makes a clicking sound when switch is turned on. Please help in solving my problem. Thank you.: Look at the wiper arm bushings. They probably bad.

Q: 1997 regal windshield wiper one side works?: If you have the bolt on wiper arms which most GM's did/do. The nut at the bottom of the arm where it pivots gets loose and it just needs to be tightened. I've tightened many! You'll have to remove the cap covering it with a little screwdriver. Very simple. I think it's a 15mm socket. Sometimes you may have to raise the hood to get on it better but it's easy. If that's not it, the wiper linkage hidden underneath the cowl could have popped off which is much more involved and usually requires replacing parts.

Q: I turned on my wiper today accidentally, the windshield was frozen with ice on it. the wiper came up 1/4 of the way and stopped with moving 1 inch up and down periodically but nothing else. I was able to push the wipers down and cleaned off the ice that was present in the beginning of the wiper. Now the wiper only comes up 1/4 of hte way and goes up and down an inch. what could be the problem?: its probably just jammed, if it was burned out then it wouldn't move at all.

Q: I have a Toyota Celica GT-S, and the driver side wiper arm is going slower than the passenger side.SO.when the passenger side comes over in normal fashion, the driver-side blade is only half way up, and the passenger side blade breaks the driver-side blade right off. I‘ve tried different blades, and I am trying to avoid putting it in the shop. Any idea‘s?: the linkage to the wipers is not tight. they have bushings and maybe they were bent somhow, so check this out.if u have 2 motors one on each side, (most don't) the drivers side is bad. u can temporarily remove the passenger side where it comes out of the cowl,by lifting the lok tab and taking the whole arm off. the shaft will still trun but will not interfere with the other side. get some help with this if u do not know how to do it. u can go to a shop or a good parts store for help not autozone.

Q: I recently moved to the UK bringing with me my American car. After adding different lights and having several other modifications it is finally legal to drive. However, a couple days later I was driving it and noticed the windshield wipers wouldn‘t turn off. They work separately but something is obviously wrong. Any ideas on what might be causing it and how to fix it?: so it is easier to roll in all situations. unless you do extreme 4wding there is no need for it.

Q: So I have new replacement blades for my pontiac sunbird, but can‘t get the old wiper blade arms off!! it has a rod that fastens the wiper arm (attached to my car) to the wiper blade. Only the little rod has liketeethto keep it in place. I have pictures of what I am describing if you need to see it.I‘ll send them to you in an email. ugh, I just want to replace them already!!! Thanks for any help!!: I have a mustang I only drive in nice weather. I replace the blades like every 4 years. The answer is replace them as often as you need too. When your getting streaks, replace them.

Q: My 2000 chevy cavalier windshield wiper doesn‘t work,I replaced the fuse and it works when the engine is not running,but as soon as the engine starts,the windshield wont work anymore: sounds stupid but touch a bare wire to the wiper motor housing and the other end to a ground and see if it works. Chevy's have a thin ground on there wiper motors and if broken will do things like this. If its the problem just put a ground wire to the fire wall and it will last longer than a new motor. May not be the problem but is common.
