Q: I,turn my windshield wipers and the motor is running but the wipers don‘t move. What causes this ?I, hope someone help me with my problem.: If both wipers do not move at all while the drive motor is running, it means that either the grooves in the splines are stripped and/or the mounting nuts are loose. Remove both wiper arms and run the wipers observing the movement of the splines. You may have a drive mechanism problem. It would help to know the make and year of the vehicle.

Q: the windshield wiper switch, and the relay fuses, and checked all other fuses. Still wont work. Makes a clicking sound when switch is turned on. Please help in solving my problem. Thank you.: in many cases, the automobiles are in undeniable sight 2 to 4 screws carry them on with a detatchable electric powered set of wires., 2 couplers that connects to the mechanical levers that pass the wipers. Q: I was cleaning the glass on my windshield this weekend. I proceeded to lift the wiper arm up, perpendicular to the windshield to clean, which I always do. When I did this, I must‘ve moved the arm VERY slightly to the side. Usually, If I had done this, the wiper would stay, but it went loose on me, and moved a tiny bit to the side. It felt loose. I tried operating my wipers from the inside of the car, and the left wiper moved to the left side of the windshield and stopped there in the up position, while the right wiper did it‘s normal thing. I turned off the wipers, and moved the wiper manually back to the position it usually is in when wipers are turned off. Then, I tried it again later today. This time, the driver‘s wiper didnt move at all, instead, only the passenger wiper. Do any of you know what this could be? Mechanical/physical? Expensive/cheap? Q: I just got a new jeep recently and stupidly not thinking I assumed the windshield wiper fluid would go in the same area as my old jeep.I didn‘t know this was on the new jeep where the break fluid goes. So I put in like a tablespoon of windshield wiper then realized it wasn‘t taking the fluid so I stopped since the fluid was just sitting in there not draining into the jug. I then still not realizing this is where brake fluid goes.washed it out with waterand then once I realized everything I took a turkey baster and sucked it all out of there.the what was now water since I washed out the windshield wiper fluid was just sitting at the top still.so sucked it all out with the baster. Is this going to effect my brakes? .such a shitty day: :Yes it will affect your brakes. Any contaminates in brake fluid will change its boiling point. Do not drive it until you can have the brake system flushed.

Q: I try to use my windshield wipers and all I hear is the motor! Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you in advance for your time: Could be deep inside the dash, but if you are lucky the shaft that the wiper pivots on still turns when then wiper motor is running. Turn the wipers on and look close (while parked). If this is so then you must lift the wiper arm cover off and tighten the nut hidden below. Hope this makes sence. It would be much easier if I could point it out to you

Q: Im trying to piece back together my 66 caddy hearseI need some advice how to remove the wiper assembly from the posts-any advice would be appreciated!: Lift the wiper arm and look at the base of the stem and wiper. There will be a little square tam hooked over the stem. Pry this with a screw driver and lift up on the arm. There is a special tool for this as the spring tension is hard to over compensate to pull off the arm. But if you wiggle the arm while pulling up on the other side of the base of the arm, it will eventually come off.

Q: My windshield wipers are stuck in the upright position on my 2001 Pontiac Montana and they wont return to the right position. They work fine when I‘m using them, but when I turn them off they return to the upright position. I took out the fuse, and that is not the problem. Any ideas on why they would stay that way and any suggestions as to how to fix it would be great.: You probably have moisture on the circuit board that is bolted to the wiper motor. You can take it off and clean it with electrical contact cleaner and reseal it with a little RTV when you put the cover back on. That is the same problem I had with mine. I found a new motor and board at NAPA for $80.00 but tried cleaning mine first and it has been fine for 4 months now. If you do try to clean it make sure you mark where the wiper cam and wiper motor shaft so you line them back up right when you put them back together.

Q: Why do the windshield wipers on my 1999 Mercury Sable LS come on by themselves?: your wiper switch at the end of your turn signal is bad. Mercury Sables do not have rain sensor wipers its a bad switch.
