Q: I replaced the passenger side wiper a few weeks ago and they were working fine. Now I‘m having an issue with them interfering. I went back to Auto Zone and the guy there said that he‘s seen that frequently with this model. He popped a cap off the base of the wiper arm and showed me a 15 mm nut in there. He said that if I loosen the nut I could adjust the wiper arm down the face of the windshield to eliminate the interference. He suggested that this means of securing the wiper arm to the bolt is not completely effective and the arm can rotate about the bolt to some extent. When I removed the nut I saw a washer around the bolt and the arm won‘t rotate around the bolt. The washer around the bolt won‘t come off. It appears that the washer may be painted onto the surface it‘s resting on. Any suggestions would be welcome.: if you did not have a problem before you installed the wipers check the length of the wipers. if they are too long the will contact. you can move the arm but if it didnt happen till you replaced them that is where i would look it is common for the wrong wipers

Q: yesterday was driving home in pouring rain and my wipers wouldnt come on i tried every configuration, delay, fast, windshield wash,, but nothing seems to me they always go out when i need em most, any ideas on what the problem is?: Check the fuses. But if the fuse is blown, then what took out the fuse? Could be the wiper motor or a short in the wiring to it. The wiper switch could also go bad. I had a car which a plastic bushing in the wiper control arm went bad and allowed the wiper arm to come off the motor Tips; Never use wipers to clear ice off the windshield this makes the motor and arms work harder and it just chews up your wiper blades, use the defrost to melt the ice then the wipers to clear the water. Carry a spare set of wiper blades in your trunk, they'll only blow off when you need them the most!

Q: I just had my windshield frame replaced but when the shop put my windshield wipers back on they put them in the wrong position. Q: I have a 05 monte carlo, and the windshield wipers will stay up when turned off, but when in delay they will stay at bottom of windshield then wipe, and back to bottom, but once you shut them off they come all the way up.How can I fix this?????: It's usally the module that causes this. It is bolted to the winshield wiper motor. You can buy a new one at your local auto parts store.

Q: I have a VW jetta 1996, i recently bought. I noticed I am completely missing one of the windshield wipers (the passenger side) and the one wiper (driver side) only works on high. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? And any part‘s ill need. Thank you!: Have you got the wheelbox? This is the lump that sticks out of the bodywork and holds the end of the wiper arm. If that's missing, have a delve inside and see if there's any connection for it. If it's there and it works, you'll need a wiper arm and blade. If the wiper(s) park correctly when switched off then you'll need to have an auto-electrician look at the wiper motor and gearbox. If the wipers don't park, you'll probably need a new wiper motor. You'll NEED to get a good workshop manual to help you. Good luck!

Q: Why do some people leave their cars windshield wiper up when they leave the parking lot?: It IS usually because they're too idle to switch the wipers off properly, just turn the ignition straight off and the wipers stop where they are. Actually, sometimes it is done deliberately as someone has already said. Where I park at home the windscreen collects pollen, dust, bits of debris etc from trees, especially if it's windy. If I think about it, I park the wipers up the screen so the blades don't collect so much crud that has to be removed.

Q: This small to medium size SUV is located in Western NY so there will most likely be lots of freezing rain, and snow etc.Does anyone know of a all season , long lasting full set of 3 wiper blades. Driver front, Passenger front, and rear wiper as well. Or is it best to change the blades when the winter seasons begin and again when spring arrives ? Clean all the windows, put wax on them like the body of the car buff it off and you just water proofed your windows I heard its easier to de-ice also (:

Q: If I try any other speed there dead how do I fix it I have a 06 trailblazer: Try to avoid using the rig in light drizzle situations. Play usage for dry days or when it is full blown 'cats and dogs' downpour!! Practice using the switch continually to make them wiper only intermittently. Remove the windshield and tough it out till you get the rig to the Chevy dealer.
