Q: 95 mercury windshield wipers will not park what is wrong?: There is what is known as a park pawl in the transmission of the wipers that activates a switch when it goes to park. There is a set of contacts in the wiper transmission that has to make contact to cut the juice to the motor when the wiper switch is off and the wipers are returning to the park position. It could be bad as well as the other suggestions already mentioned. Not very familiar with your particular motor, but if has delay wipers and such the GM motors have a printed circuit board that goes bad and can prevent them from parking as well. Ford might have a board like that but can't remember. Boards for the GM's are cheap and can change without removing the motor. Imagine Ford would be similar. Can also cause the wipers to come on for no reason or the intermittent to vary wild in time regardless of where you have the delay set.

(If it even has one!) yikes.: The wiper linkage needs to be recalibrated so that they stop at the proper place. Simply remove the wiper arms off of the pivots with the wiper control KNOWN to be in the off - rest position. While not familiar with your particular vehicle, most wiper pivots are knurled for registration purposes and the arms held on with a spring clip. Therefore they have to be removed while holding the clip outward AND while pulling the arm straight off the pivot axle. It isn't too easy to do. Then the arms are repositioned and pressed back onto the pivot axles so they rest where they are supposed to.

Q: my windshield wipers stoped working and all my fuses are fine what could this problem be: Two possibility's One the switch is bad, try wiggling it around and see if it come's on. Or the motor is bad, try this, turn the switch on and manually work the wiper blades back and forth if they start to work then stop again the motor is burned up. Thanx!: There is probably a clip/ tab underneath the wiper that you hold down while sliding the entire assembly toward the windshield. Get cheap replacements at walmart or auto parts store (they have a computer on the shelf that tells you the sizes you need for your particular make and model). very easy and cheap replacement. you simply slide the wiper back in the same way until it clicks. make sure to buy the replacements first so you can get a better sense for how to slide the blades back on. good luck

Q: Motor runs, windshield wipers try to move, but they just move like an inch and go back down. First only one did it, now both. They don't chatter,Won't tear and have a lifetime warranty on them. They will be the last set of wipers you'll ever have to buy for that vehicle. Once in a while you may need to take a sponge and clean off the blade a little.Sap and debris will cause the wiper to not make proper contact on the wind shield if too much gets built up on them but that's all you'll have to do when they start to not wipe correctly. They are also silicone impregnated keeping them from chattering and also makes water bead up and roll off the windshield like rain X. Stay with the recommended size wipers. If you go to larger wipers they will slap the edge of your windshield and will eventually tear or break. Your driver side wiper is 22 And the passenger side is 18. The auto parts store will replace them for free if you buy them there.

Q: I had to disconnect the wiper switch to shut them off, at first I thought it was the switch because it was already lose and it would turn on by itself sometime. But then I bought a new switch and it still does the same thing when I connect it. Could it be a relay or something else??? I also noticed there was a change on the beeping sound the car makes when a door is open, please help I really hate connecting and disconnecting the switch to turn of the wipers. Note: wiper fuses are good and wiper switch has been replaced.: Look into a Wiper Module, this is what would let you use the delay and could let it run with the switch off. So look for a Wiper Module for it, you could even try Wiper Delay Module. This is off my head quickly but I should be correct.
