Q: I currently have a 2004 Pontiac Vibe, and they are using the Stock Windshield Wiper Blades.I want to know, what are the best Blades that I could purchase for my car, that don‘t leave streaks when it rains? The ones I have now are alright, but they don‘t have even pressure. What would be the best Blades, I could use that keep even pressure, and do not leave streaks during rain storms? How much would they cost? How much would the be, Installed? And where could I purchase them? Thanks in advanced!
Rain-X good Bosch Boschshit
Q: I drive a 1999 Ford Taurus. About a week ago, I accidentally broke my side view mirror while avoiding a collision with a truck. The mirror is still intact; only the arm holding it snapped in half. But shortly after this, my windshield wipers stopped working. I drove to the store and they worked perfectly, but they won‘t turn on the way home. They haven‘t worked since. I think I can hear the windshield wiper motor turn on when I turn the knob, but I‘m not entirely sure. Any ideas what might have happened?
Could be an electric problem, my buddy has an 03 Taurus with power mirror and defroster in them, the accident may have caused something to get screwed up in the wiring. Probably wrong but it is a chance, or the motor could have went.
Q: Does anyone know how to quiet squeaky windshield wipers? I have even replaced them but they continue to make squeaky noises a lot when in use. I am starting to think that the problem lies with the windshield
wait till the windshield is wet before you turn them on
Q: I had a bad wiper blade on my passenger side. Bought a new one. The correct size. Now when I turn on my wipers they go oncefold back down almost all of the way and look like they are almost hitting eachother and then will not work. Any suggestions? Very confused woman!!!
It would help to know the exact year of this Buick Rendezvous, because the size you may have installed may be incorrect, as I recall their was a recall done for the Rendezvous where the wipers had an issue hitting each other at the bottom at the rest position here's what comes from GM (owner of buick company): Condition Some owners may comment that intermittently the tip of the passenger side windshield wiper blade contacts or touches the driver's wiper blade when they are near the base of the windshield after replacement. This condition may be most noticeable if there is an accumulation of snow built-up below the blades at the base of the windshield. Correction Replace the passenger side wiper blade with a new blade that is approximately 50 mm (2 in) shorter. This new blade has an overall length of approximately 22 in compared to the original blade which is approximately 24 in long on the passenger side. If that doesn't fix the issue its time to go to a mechanic who can adjust the motor mechanism in the wipers in order to allow them to lie flat at the correct time and position. Best of luck
Q: So yeah, my windshield wipers dont work and I live in Honolulu, and it is raining hard here and when it rains, it freaking pours. I tried driving but i got one block and couldnt see anything so I had to come home.I want to know if anyone here knows any way that I can keep my windshield clear in the rain without using the wipers. I am going to go to Walmart to get window wax so the rain will slide off the glass, but do you know any other way or if that way works? Please let me know, cause right now I am stuck.
They LOOK better, they are lighter in weight, they add value at trade in time. They are always over priced on new cars.
Q: how can i re-paint my windshield wiper arms?
I have repainted mine, took them off though, it's easy, just undo the bolt/nut where it connects to the car then spray paint it with a rust preventing black paint.it's easy
Q: It never fails. The wiper blades that come with the car (new) work great. But as soon as I have to replace them, the replacement blades always jump and skip around and never have the smooth squeege action of the originals! I have tried several different brands of replacements including the ones sold by the dealers and it is always the same! What am I doing wrong?
You need to apply rain-x or equivalent. Your windshield gets roughed up by small particles as you travel around. this effects the cleaning abilities of any blade. Rain-x or equivalent will smooth the glass so the blade travels more perfectly over the glass surface. When you use rain-x, you don't even need to turn on your wipers, so there's that.
Q: i have a 1990 nissan maxima and yesterday it was raining and i went out so they were working. Well later that night the rain turned into snow and my dad went out side the following morning to warm my car up. BUT i may have left the wipers on and he didnt notice and the snow were blockin the wipers AND MAY HAVE KNOCKED THEM OFF TRACK? i dont kno please help.I JUST FOUND OUT i was driving today and as soon as i turned my car on it was making a clickin noise, so i obviously left them on. HELP!
maybe knocked off track.you have to fix from outside the car.there is 1 wiper motor on the passenger side below the windsheild.have to unscrew molding to get access.check it from theresame thing happened to me
Q: it must be hard to see ( 0) ( O )
The force of the wind moves the water. Plus planes usually try to fly above the storms.
Q: Alright so basically my towns going through a blizzard right now. after getting in the car i went to wipe the windshield wipers real quick and they didn‘t move. i wiped them again and heard a somewhat loud pop almost like a loud crack of a knuckle. I cleared the snow and nothing moved again. After a rough drive down the block to my house i looked furthur into it. When i turn the wipers on high i hear the motor running like the normal squeek it usually does but the wipers don‘t move. What could be some possible causes and solutions to such a prblem?
