- Q:It just started out of the blue a couple of days ago. My driver‘s side windshield wiper works fine, but the one on the passenger side seems like it is delayed. It won‘t start moving until the driver‘s side one is about half way up, then it will move up with the driver‘s side one. They both stop together, the driver‘s side one all the way up like normal but the passenger side one stops about half way up. Then, they move down together at the same rate but since the passenger side one is only half way up it will slam down into the car and make a loud thump while the driver side one will stop at it‘s normal resting place.What could this be? I really don‘t know much about cars and so far my Google search hasn‘t really given me any answers. In case it matters, my car is a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

- Q:One wiper (the driver's side, of course) has stopped working all together. Everywhere I search, it tells me to check the fuses. Is it possible that the wipers have two different fuses??? I'm guessing it is not the motor since one wiper still works. I have also tried tightening the bolt that holds the arm on, but this didn't help. Any suggestions? I don't even know where to find the fuses. Any info will be greatly appreciated as it is Sunday and I doubt I will find anyone to fix it today. Also it is starting to snow so wipers are a must. - Q:My 2005 Saturn Ion‘s windshield wiper blades had been working correctly for awhile. I got them replaced and ever since it‘s been nothing but problems. The pivots in the blades keep coming undone, and the drivers side windshield wiper won‘t move anymore. Before today it moved to about the halfway mark and then back down swiftly. Now, it won‘t move at all. What should I do to fix this problem??
- It is most likely that the wiper arm has loosened from the pivot near the bottom of the windshield. There is a spring-clip that holds the wiper arm tight at this point. You should be able to remove the wiper arm, inspect the arm and pivot, and re-install making certain it is tight. If one wiper works and not this other, the motor is obviously still good. If this pivot point does not seem to be problematic, the problem lies in the 'wiper transmission' which is a series of rods that serve as a linkage between the electric motor and the pivots. My best guess is that the wiper arm is stripped out where it connects to the pivot. If this is the case, a new wiper arm will need to be installed after buying one from the dealer or a salvage yard. - sounds to me like you got a used tire, am I right? if so the tire they put on was defective in the fact that the tread was separating, thereby causing the shaking feeling you had upon leaving the tire shop. if it was a new tire then you have a real complaint against the tire shop.

- yes they work much better huh lol.my dad always told me to change them at the start of every school year.so that they are a fresh pair for the winter.also have you heard of (Rain X ) you wipe it on then wait a few min. then wipe it off it helps repel the water.good luck.

- Q:I‘ve been having problems with the wipers in my 1998 Jimmy. They work, but badly. Delay doesn‘t always work.if I try to use delay, sometimes the wipers function in the low or high mode, but not delay. When I turn them off, they will keep going for a minute or two, and then stop in the middle of the windshield. It‘s getting annoying, and since I don‘t have a warranty, I‘m looking to repair them myself. Could it be the motor or the relay? I‘m not sure where to start first. I‘d appreciate any responses!
- i ad a similar problem with a truck of mine. it may be dust buuilt up inside the switch. i had to ever so often turnthem on and off real fast to clear it out. seems the would work for a while after that. also check where the wiring harness plugs into the wiper moter, have had some trouble there to. as far as it bein the moiter it is possible but it will work every now and then so it kinda points else where.
