Q: what part do i need to buy for my car, for the windshield wipers. They dont work or make noise.?
go to a racing shop or something like that to tell u which one will best be for ur car
Q: My windshield wipers stopped working while I was driving. When I turn on the wipers I can hear the wiper motor operating rhythmically, but neither wiper moves. Does this sound like an expensive or unusual repair on a Ford Escort? Fortunately I was close to home when it happened, but we‘re expecting rain for the next several days. Tomorrow there is supposed to be a sunny break but I‘m really worried that they (the dealership) might not be able to fix the problem right away, leaving me with a car I can‘t drive to work next week. More worried about having no drivable car than about the money.?
Sounds like your arms came off.there is a arm that is attached to the motor and runs to the other wiper. It is held in place with a nylon type washer and nut type fastener. They are very easy to replace, all you do is push then into the hole. They probably cost about 2 dollars. The parts dept.at the dealer can tell how many you need and even show you a picture of this.
Q: are windshield wipers coverd under warrenty on a leased 2005 nissan murano??
No it a wear an tear idem, same as brakes
Q: The windshield wiper of a car is 18 inches long. It takes 5 seconds to trace 1/3 revolution.a) What is the angular speed? (exact form)b) What is the linear speed? (round to the hundredths)
Q: The windshield wiper of a car is 18 inches long. It takes 5 seconds to trace 1/3 revolution. a) What is the angular speed? (exact form) b) What is the linear speed? (round to the hundredths) A: a) What is the angular speed? (exact form) angular speed can measured in many forms: revolutions/sec, rotations/sec, radians/sec, degrees/sec, revolutions/min, rotations/min, radians/min, degrees/min, revolutions/hour, rotations/hour, radians/hour, degrees/hour, etc. You did not specify the units required in your answer, so I will assume the time unit will stay seconds. Angular Speed? Take your pick of: ? rev/5 sec 1/15 rev/sec 2π/15 radians/sec 24?/sec A: b) What is linear speed? (round to the hundredths) I will assume you want the linear speed at the TIP of the blade? 1/15 rev/sec (1/15)(2πr) inches/sec (1/15)(2π)(18) inches/sec 2.4π 7.539822 7.54 in/sec (n 100th) Hope this helps! Cheers! ? .
Q: My 2003 ford focus front windshield wipers will not park when in normal mode. When I stop the wipers they just stop where they are position and do not complete the swipe. When they are in the intermittent mode they park, but not all the way. Is the problem my windshield wiper motor or the relay switch? They work fine other than the fact they won‘t park correctly.
Sounds like your wiper motor. I had to replace my wiper motor on my Crown Victoria last summer, I was having the same problem. When I would turn the wipers off the blades would go down to the park position and then they would move up and shut off fully opened.
Q: Maybe there are some vehicles that have them, but I can‘t recall seeing any. There are times when they would come in handy.
There are a lot of them, - but not the cheap models, - rear wipers increase cost of car! Some even have wipers on the headlights too!
Q: I noticed I needed to replace wiper blades so I did. However the driver side still wasnt wiping. I was told it was likely the arm so I replaced that as well. But it still isnt working. Nothing seems loose, could something be bent internally to where the blade isnt pressing hard enough to move away water?Anyone know how to fix it, or where I might take to find out? I live in Pierce County, Wa. Rain season is on its way and I cant see when Im driving with this problem! Also my truck is a 2001 Chevy S10, if that makes a difference in parts or repair.
Have you tried to determine what the acceptable levels are for occupied space. In addition to the magnetic fields generated around a conductor might want to see what radio frequency levels are also. If you are concerned ( I would be) look for a shielding contractor to have a survey done to measure Gauss fields as well as RF levels. They will be able to tell you if you are at any risk according to current standards make recommenddations to remedy situation. An official report by a certified engineer can be used as leverage to have the condo management. correct the situation . You should not have to bear the expense of shielding yourself from a potentially harmful situation . Used to work for a medical imaging co. Operators of MRI, Xray other devices are responsible to contain protect surrounding occupied spaces from any emissions from their equipment. Hope that helps.
Q: I have a 99 Grand Marquis - any thoughts on if it‘s the switch or the motor and what do I have to take apart to find the motor?
Pull the connector loose from the motor, and test the voltage between the Dark blue wire with the orange stripe and the Yellow wire with the red stripe, with the key on and the wiper switch in the low position. The two wires you are going to check are the second and third wires from the right when looking at the rear of the connector with the latch facing upwards. If you have 12 volts here, you need a motor. I did a 99 yesterday for the same problem.
Q: What the heck is the spline size anyways? Will a quarter inch really make a difference?
it is talking about the hole that the arm attaches to. the spline is the knob or axle that you attach the arm to. yes, a 1/4 will make a difference
Q: I need new wipers for my car. Do stores like CVS and Walgreens sell them? Or do I need to go to an automotive store like Autozone? I heard Walmart sells them, but I don‘t have any Walmarts in my area.
I dont think so but sure was hoping they did. Its pretty hard to see in the rain with no wiper blade on the drivers side. I switched the one from the passenger side to the drivers side but it does nothing for the scraping sound
