More Applications of Universal Windshield Wiper:

Q: I think about this every morning when I get in the car and I can't see out the back windshield.
Shale, limestone, sandstone, mudstone- any of the sedimentary rocks.
Q: Desperately need help! They stopped suddenly in an upright position during a storm. Told it could be motor burnout. Replaced motor and they still are not working. Can‘t drive on a rainy day!
It's usually not the motor but the relay. That's located there where the fuses are, under the hood. The next thing after that would be your multi-switch that you use to turn the wipers on with, it may have gone bad, but I always go for the relay first, as that's the weakest link.
Q: on my 1997 hyundai tiburon my windshield wipers don‘t stay down how do I fix that?
you mean they won,t place their self once they are turned off? take the wipers off and replace them at the stopping point.
Q: Single centered windshield wiper?
Some European BMW's and Benzs have that same setup the CRXs have a conversion kit that makes it this way they are Fake and the position you see in the pics is just the stopped position for that wiper kit these are called INDY Formula 1 wiper kits
Q: Is it because of the trend towards bigger windshields or something else?
Wipers vary in size with the size of the windshield. There never was a single size for every car.
Q: I have had the bosch icon wipers for about 7 months and they are starting to streak i was wandering if i bought the bosch excel+ would they streak being brand new? Are they good wipers?
They are good! How often do you clean your blades? You know that no matter the brand you are supposed to clean them as you wash your car right? If you have lots of dusts or sand in your area that will reduce the life of you blades as well.
Q: ‘89 Eagle. Most cars have them easily seen on the firewall. Where‘s the Eagle‘s?? And the computer???
For the wiper motor, many are located under the cowl screen (or grille). The cowl screen/grille is the piece that is under the windshield, where the wiper arms attach. There will usually be some screws or clips that hold that in place, and you will usually have to remove the wiper arms from their pivots to get it off. The computer is probably inside the vehicle on that one. Some of those were under the console, some under the dash, some in the kick panel (panel in front of the doors).
Q: Why do windshield-wipers push the water towards the driver instead of away?
Since they go from side to side, the wipers move the water across the windshield in both directions, but ultimately off towards the side of the car. I can't think of any way to improve the design.
Q: power door and windshield wiper problems, Pontiac 2001 Montana?
you have an electrical issue there with the wiper motor on it they have a unit built in them that makes it come back to the rest position, and its cheaper to replace the entire motor than to just repair that part of it,on the door lock the actuator probably has gotten wet or some moisture has got to it,that will cause the other problem your having, you probably will have to replace the actuator on it for it to work right again, that's not unusual for the wipers to do that ,especially on gm products, you can get a good used wiper motor off a salvage one for about 45 bucks, that should take care of that part of it and an actuator shouldn't cost over 15 bucks used either, and they will last as good as a new one probably will, good luck with it hope you get it straitened out.
Q: what is the procedure for removing the windshield wiper arms on a 1987 dodge ram van?
Where the arm attaches to the wiper transmission there will be a plastic cover that is hinged pop it up and then there will be a nut I think 14mm remove it then you have to either pry it up or use a puller I have found that if you give it a tap with a hammer and then use a battery terminal puller you will be able to remove them with no problem.
