Q: Im looking to put a new exhaust on my 08 mustang, I am looking to do new headers, 2 cats and 2 mufflers, what can the expected hp gain be of doing the exhaust this way and what size pipes should I be looking at so the engine gets sufficiant back pressure. I have the 4.0l V6, like I said complete new exhaust system from the headers back, probably going to use the original cat and add on an oem replacment due to cost issues.
Don't waste your money on headers or cats. Unless your pushing high hp these flow really well. I would say just get a good set of mufflers (whatever sound you like) and take it to an exhaust shop and tell them you want dual exhaust. Its the cheapest way and you'll get a bit of extra hp and sound better. After all said and done should be about $400-$600 depending on mufflers.
Q: i want a good free flowing exhaust system that doesnt sound like rice i want it to be quite or normal like stock as if i never had one.were are they give me a link please thanks
unrestricting your exhaust is going to cause it to get louder no matter what. if you want one that isnt a whole lot louder than stock try a catback exhaust with 2.5 inch piping. i like magnaflo but there are literally dozens of choices.
Q: I've been looking around, and there is a dual exhaust kit offered by GM which looks nice and I can get it for about $500 with the dual exhaust conversion kit (required since my stock exhaust is single). There is also the Dynomax Performance Super Turbo 19363 that can fit, and would be about $355 with the conversion kit and after mail-in rebates. I am thinking of going with this kit, if not the GM one.I've also some people put on Flowmaster 40's, but I don't know if they come in a complete exhaust kit. I have only found mufflers of that series.Corsa offers an exhaust kit, but it is $1,100 and I am not spending that much.I also have heard of Magnaflow, but the only system they have fits the current generation of Impala's which have a different frame and body style.I am not looking too much into performance gains (just a little gain if any), and I am looking for more of a nice sounding, free flowing system. Anybody got any opinions?
another fine example of a really crappy driver right there lol. backoff, thats why he was braking, to force you around before you ran him over.
Q: I want my bike to have a deeper and slightly louder exhaust sound. Something that will not be obnoxiously loud. Should I get a complete exhaust system or buy some slip ons? Which ones will give me the sound I‘m looking for? Also, do i need to re-jet the carbs? Thanks,
complete system offers bigger diameter header pipes, and get a complete system that is routed a different way so you don't have to remove your front pipe to change the oil filter
Q: I want to get a DC sports 3.0 inch Universal Muffler Round Can Straight Tip but i don‘t know if i just need the muffler, or if i need a whole new exhaust system. i have a 2007 Chevy Cobalt SS S/C so it‘s obviously a new exhaust.
It should just bolt on or you might need a adapter pipe to go from the old system to the new muffler inlet. I would check with chevy to see if this voids there warrenty. If it does I wouldnt do it just because thoes mufflers add nothing when it comes to power. I would keep it stock.
Q: I have a 2001 Toyota Tundra V8, would a new exhaust system help it in any way?
To expand a little on the previous answer, it helps breathe easier because a new exhaust system is able to push more hot exhaust out. When air comes in to your engine, it mixes with the fuel and a combustion is created. The product of that is hot exhaust that is cooled in the exhaust manifold and then sent to your catalytic converter to sorta clean out and then through your muffler and out your tailpipe. If that tube is bigger and your muffler has less in the way of restriction, then a lot more air can come out. HOWEVER, a basic cat-back system is really not gonna get you much in the way of mileage or performance, but it's a good place to start.
Q: I have a 2008 civic and have heard that a muffler or exhaust system can boost power and efficiency.I want to install one of these on my car but don‘t want that ****** ricer noise. Would getting a quiet flow muffler do anything or do I need to get a whole new system
The engineneer put the best exhaust system on the car already. If you modify it, there may be an increase of power at some point of the rpm band, but other things will not improve, such as mpg. When you modify the exhaust, usually there's minimal benefit unless you also change the intake to match.
Q: Motorcycle exhaust pipe principle
The exhaust system is from the exhaust port connected to the combustion chamber, through the exhaust manifold (ie, the head section), the middle of the exhaust pipe (including the catalyst section), to the exhaust pipe tail section, is the entire exhaust emission process.
Q: I just want to make it a bit louder. It‘s a 2001 mustang v6 base model. Can I just buy a new tip or do I have to replace the whole exhaust system?
funny enough when i went to rome in october it was colder that XMas time!!! global warning did some weird stuff it was so cold.i had glothes and like trousers and jumpers but it might be a bit hotter but i dought it
Q: whats the best exhaust/muffler system around?
a 5 inch pipe coming off the exhaust mani
