Hello. I have a Peugeot 306 1.4i (2000). My battery wasn't holding charge and having tested it it became apparent one of the cells was damaged. Having replaced the battery the car still won't start. Prior to replacement of the battery the car had needed jump starting a few times. So when I turn the key to on position the lights on my dash light up. If I try to actually start car power dies. If I try and turn main lights on from this position - power dies. Once the power has died I can turn the key and no lights will come on dash. To get juice round the car again I can wobble the battery and power seems to flow back through car. Possibly there is an issue with battery connectors?I ran a multimeter over the main fuses with the key in on position and all the main fuses in the front have 12v running across them - so fuses good I'd think. This means the starter motor could be gone and draining all power? Maybe?Any ideas / suggestions would be spot on! Cheers.
get new terminals fitted .and as suggested charge battery ,car will start ok with that done .rem to tighten battery terminals well .you said you wiggle them and lights come on . that suggests not tight enough ok .all the best .
I have no idea what this component is or where to get one. It's from a sleep comfort bed pump and I need a replacement part. Here's a picture of it and the pump label.
It's a 1.6 amp class T fuse. The other markings may be the original manufacturers part number, but I can't read them in your picture. Judging by the charred remains of the fuse plastered all over the board, you had a short circuit straight across the mains supply. Unless you find what caused the short and fix it properly, replacing the fuse on its own is a complete waste of time.
How can I tell if the fuse is blown?
For sure please call Sanyo service center to help you (don't wait until the set blow the worst case it can set fire. Buzzing sound usually comes from the component that has coil in it, like flyback, transformer. But it usually comes from the flyback when its leaking. If this the safety fuse you're talking about, when it blows your set won't be able to turn on anymore.
Hi I have a LG motion from Metro PCS. A fuse popped when I had my phone plugged into the charger. It seems to be loading slower, but still turns on. Is their a sure fire way to tell if their has been any electrical damage? thanks.
Fuses and circuit breakers are shielding instruments to steer away from hearth in case of a short circuit or overload. while they blow or holiday, they're doing their activity preserving you and your domicile. If whether, a fuse blows as quickly as you replace it, or a circuit breaker journeys as quickly as you reset it, you have a confusing short in that circuit. do no longer put in a greater amperage fuse, or shop attempting to reset the breaker. examine each and all of the a lot on that circuit. Unplug each thing from the shops and take a glance at changing the fuse or resetting the breaker lower back. If it nevertheless blows/journeys as we talk, examine your lighting fixtures. in case you have an previous fluorescent fixture, you have between the previous ballast transformers that has shorted. Get a qualified electrician to provider the sunshine for you. If whether, the fuse remains good and the breaker would not holiday, something you unplugged is inflicting the quick. examine each and each load via plugging them in, separately till you come across the single that blows the fuse or journeys the breaker. it is the wrongdoer. If whether, no longer something i've got pronounced works, you in all probability have a wiring project that must be repaired via a qualified electrician.
I tried to install a new car stereo today. Like the idiot i am, I ignored everything I read about disconnecting the battery negative before I started. I assumed that removing the fuses for the radio would be fine. Anyway. I got the radio, and it was working fine for about 5 minutes. Then one of my dome lights flickered, and the radio started turning off and on again. I decided to try turning on the engine at this point to see if it just wasnt getting enough power. By the time i had gotten to the drivers side, everything was dead. The car wouldnt start, the lights dont come on. Everything is just dead. It got dark on me, so I've yet to remove the stereo, or check the inside fuse box. I'm hoping that its just a fuse, but with everything being out, and the main fuse in the motor-area fuse box intact, im losing hope that thats all thats wrong. I was thinking fusable link, or a solenoid. How did I manage to mess it up that bad? And how do I fix it? Thanks
Sounds like it could be a fuel pump problem, what car is it? Escort, yes it will be the fuel pump i think it is close to the tank on your car so it has to pump the fuel a little distance, when your tank is over half it is ok because gravity is helping to feed the fuel through, but when it starts to get empty there is less to help feed it and the weak fuel pump starts to struggle. I had the same problem with a Mitsubishi colt Gti.
i checked the fuses, i had similar problems when i tried to install a stereo deck myself. Also my srs lights are on and my window does not open.
time for another car friend. don't mess with this as it is old. face it jap cars don't last forever. u no n japan they don't rebuild anything? everything is replaced every 100,000 km which is 66000 miles. ur car isn't designed to last. that is why every jap car in a wreck is totalled. the jap car co's make more money selling u a new car. so but another jap car. I don't want to catch u riding n a real car, like a 57 chevy or 67 mustang. I will pop u n tha haid an take it from ya.
I replaced the fuse, but all that happens is the directional arrow comes on and just stays there. It was flashing furiously. Now it just stays solidly lit. Any ideas?
Replace the bulbs and that should work. this is fairly easy to do depending on the car and your locla kragen or auto shop can help you or give you some advise about it. If this does not work you may very well have an delectrical problem or a back light socket. And if all else fails change your blinker fluid!!! J/K
I have a Polk Audio MOMO C400.4 that im planning to use to power my MOMO 6x5 components and MOMO 6x9's @ 75w RMS x 4. I also have a Kenwood KAC-7202 that i plan on running bridged which will pull 460w RMS @ 4 ohms. What size fuze will I need for 4 gauge wire? I have a 4AWG wire with a Rockford Fosgate distribution block that splits from 4AWG to 8AWG with AGU fuses on it, unknown size Would I still need a inline fuse to the battery?
I always put an inline fuse, but that could just be me. You can add up the fuses on your amps to determine the total (in this case 100 amps).
