Q: I recently bought a 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty with LED tail lights. A load equilizer needs to be installed to eliminate the fast blinking. My understanding is that the load equalizer gets installed on the ground wire that is coming out from the LED bulb, is that correct? What color is the ground wire so I make sure that I have the correct wire? Thanks for the help!
if you go to the dealer, they have a special flasher relay to fix that. its behind the dash towards the middle near the radio, kind of a pain to get to but its not too bad to do and you won't have to cut into the factory wiring
Q: I took out the original stereo, which would power on but get only static. It had no display, which I though was just do to the age of the stereo. I cut the stock harness because I could not find any matching ones at the time (found one now, but too late). I have tried installing 2 different stereos. Both will power on, but neither will actually power up. What I mean, is that there is power coming through (you can load and unload a CD and the red light flashes when the head unit is off) but when the head unit is on, it doesn't display anything or actually let you use any functions (seeming like it has no power). It has done this with both stereos, so I'm guessing it's something with the car's wiring. Is it a bad fuse even though it is getting power? A bad wire (power wire)? With the new stereo, when you first turn the key, the display will illuminate for a split second, then nothing, just the limited power like before. The car is a 1987 Caddilac Brougham (like Fleetwood). Thanks.

Q: Be great if I could find a manual for wiring as well.
try checking every wire that goes to and from the headligt switch or your dimmer switch
Q: Dealership claims rats chewed through the knock sensor wire harness, and I'm just curious what this part is actually doing?
The knock sensor is used to control engine timing as well as fuel mixture. Under the right acceleration conditions the engine needs to be about 1/2 a degree advanced from the point at which knock (ping) occurs. The knock sensor helps the ECM know where that point is.
Q: I have an 06 Silverado extended cab it does have Onstar but im not sure if it has a boss system ive changed the 2 front speakers but I need to know that if I install an aftermarket radio will i need a wiring harness to be able to still use onstar and all my dash signals(check engine light, seat belt, check oil, etc.)?
Yes you'll need the harness thyll run about +$80 and yes the check engines light, open door chimes, ignition light, warning frm passanger airbag, cluster gas gauge, low fuel warning, rpm gauge,on star, and yur bose amp if u have it, will all STOP working if u DO NOT use the interface HARNESS:)

Q: I need to change a 1987 wiring harness to a 1984 V4 engine in a Pontiac Fiero.
you can buy a manual at a parts store or you can try the parts stores online. Auto zone O'Reillys and NAPA all have wiring diagrams online for some vehicles. You can also buy a download from OKorder for your car. They are $10 or less usually. Good luck.
Q: Ihave a 2001 dodge ram and I am installing a new front bumper but when I took the bumper off I noticed that underneath the passenger headlight there is a random wiring harness that isn't connected to anything.I was wondering if anyone knew what it is or what it is supposed to be wired to
Is it a diesel? It could be your block heater for the cold months.
Q: i need a car stereo wire harness for a 2002 pontiac grand am, but i cant find one. i tried crutch field but it says none of them fit and i cant find one anywhere else
See where your oil fill cap is? That is the black cap on the front of the engine that says 5w30. That cap is screwed into the front valve cover. The engine has an identical valve cover on the back side. The hole will be on the drivers side of the engine and looks almost identical to the front hose that pops into the front valve cover.
Q: i need to know how to find the connector from the wiring harness to the transmission speed sensor! The mechanic i had working on it forgot to hook it up and now everything is hooked up except for that! The transmission and the engine are all hookes up and i can't find the sensor hookup at the harness!!
There will be a whole set of different plug in harness connectors via the wall by the windshield or in that area by the TCM.One of those is the set of sensor wires that runs off of it.Again I'am not sure exactly but regardless if you trace the transmission wiring harness you'll find where the wires should be coming from for those sensors Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way it should have two plugs on it by the transmission.
