Q: can we install power 480 VAC and control 120 VAC cables,,, each one in different conduit but in parallel and adjacent ?also for two control cables ,,,, can they installed in one conduit ?: Yes. That shouldn't be a problem. if it were data or extra low voltage dc then there could be some mutual induction issues. generally speaking. low and extra low voltage can be installed in the same conduit as long as the extra low voltage cables are insulated to the higher voltage present. ie use all cables rated at the highest voltage.

Q: Hi all, I'm moving into a new apartment August 1, and I'm wondering how far in advance I need to call the power company, cable company, etc to set up service. I know this is probably a dumb question, but throughout college I moved into apartments where at least one of the other roommates was staying (I took over someone's lease who was moving out, but the other girls stayed so I was the only new resident). Is a month enough advance notice--should I start setting this stuff up in early July? Or sooner? They check your credit for outstanding balances on utility bills and base your deposit if any on that.

Q: I'm 1000% positive that it's not my monitor's problem.: I have to agree you shouldnt touch this if you dont know what your doing, check everything again, and make sure all cables are in correctly including your ide, or sata cabling. Take out the ram stick and put back as this is usually why nothing shows. Take a look at link for more help and info

Q: I have had to replace my Dell power cable a few times, got lucky the first few times with friends that had old ones they could give me, but this time I had to buy one and couldn't find a Dell brand cable (didn't bother me, they are terrible quality) Instead I found one on OKorder that named my model under the ones it would work for, and it got decent reviews.I got it a few days ago and has been working fine, but the other day when I turned it on it came up and said quot;A Dell power cord is not being recognized...and some other stuff. Q: I'm installing my car audio system in the morning. I have a 650w 4 channel amp for my four interior speakers and a class D monoblock amp for my sub.I have an 8awg wiring kit. If I split that to use it on both amps, it would end up at 16awg going to the amps. Is this thick enough for my setup?: 1. We can't answer without knowing more about your amplifiers. 650w 4 channel doesn't tell us anything useful, because the power rating may be a peak number that's only good for marketing, and you didn't tell us anything about the monoblock amplifier at all. Give us brand and model numbers and we might be able to help. 2. If I split that to use it on both amps, it would end up at 16awg going to the amps ....no. That's now how it works. (I'm not sure how you envision splitting the wire to make two wires that are half the size; are you cutting it down the middle with a razor?) You can use a distribution block to connect both amplifiers to the same main power wire, but you don't have to go to a smaller wire out of the d-block: you can run 8-gauge wire from the battery to the distribution block, then more 8-gauge from the d-block to each amp. 3. Even if you did cut the 8-gauge wire in half, a wire half the size of 8-gauge isn't 16-gauge. It's 11-gauge. If you put six 16-gauge wires together, you'd get a wire that's a little smaller than 8-gauge. Please edit your question with the brand and model numbers of both amplifier, along with the estimated length of the wire run (ie, how many feet of wire do you need to go between the amps and the battery?) Then we can tell you what gauge wire you need. Edit: thanks for the update. Based on the information about your amplifiers, I don't think you should run both of them from the single 8-gauge wire. I'd switch to a 4-gauge dual amp kit, or you can buy a second 8-gauge kit and run each amp with its own power wire to the battery rather than sharing a single wire.

Q: I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 DVR Digital Cable box and yesterday when I arrived home, it was not showing the time or any evidence of power. The TV and DVD player work just fine, but not the box. I unplugged it, tried a different plug but no power. I hear the box working, but it never shows any sign of powering on. This box is maybe a month old.Any thoughts?: The power wont show because some thing might be damaged inside.

Q: I currently have a 250 watt 2 channel power cord and a 500 watt alpine amp with 2 12 inch mtx terminator subs..i am continuously blowing blade fuses and i ended up buying a 680 watt power cable. Will this blow out my amp or do any damage or will it be all good and give the maximum power my amp can supply? (Without exploding) just wondering thanks!: 250 watt power cord? Where are the fuses which are being blown? Maybe you put in the wrong fuses or the wrong amperage fuse.

Q: I recently purchased a Nvidia 8300gs for PCI-E x16.I know that not all graphics cards need a power cable but i'm going to buy one partially because the seller said PCI-E power cable required so is this a common item? would i be able to pick one up at best buy?: A 8300gs does not need power. Anything over a 8600gt needs the external power connector.
