- Q: It's about the size of the cotton part of a q-tip/cotton swab... It's just a regular shiny black color, but then again this is the first time I've seen something like this. I found it crawling on the carpet, so I ran across the room to get something to kill it with. By the time I was back, I saw it digging into my carpet! I was astonished, and disgusted, so I got my vacuum cleaner, and went over the entire room it was in. A little later I saw it again! What is this, are there more beetles, and WHAT DO I DO?!
- its a carpet beetle, and if you let the suckers go they will ruin your carpet ! just vacuuming wont get rid of them completly. there are sprays available for em !
- Q: i have my own horses but i only have 3 rugs for each of them :turnout, cooler and stable.iv ecently been looking for new coolers on a website but i saw lots of different ones like travel rugs, fly sheets florecent exersize sheets etc.should i be buying all these or are they just different names for the ones i have allready?
- i would buy a fly sheet, theyre really useful in the summer and as long as you have an exersize sheet, it doesnt really matter if its florsent or not. what have you previously been using to tarvel in? just carry on using that or a cooler with a circingle in the summer.
- Q: What's the difference between a carpet and a rug?
- Rugs are usually flexible enough to move and do not damage the carpet, but a carpet shift can damage the carpet because the floor is fixed and the carpet is not fixed.
- Q: I have a leopard gecko enclosure and i am wondering if it is better to have rug in the tank or calcium sand ... please no immature answers
- No loose substrates...especially not sand. I use non-adhesive shelf liner. It's cheap, easy to clean, and can be cut to size. It's what I use in all my reptile cages. You can find it at any store.
- Q: How can I remove the black glue on the carpet?
- If you are chewing gum or glue or glue (adhesive), Black & Decker is soft, with volatile oil, wash water, banana water, pine fragrance can be, if the fear of air pollution can also be Fengyoujing
- Q: I'm looking for a giant rug for my dorm room next semester but I don't even know what kind of rug to look for. I want something incredibly soft but I don't have the money for something like these alpaca fur rugs I keep seeing. Does anyone know what types of rugs there are out there? The softer, the better! Thanks!
- If you have a local carpet store maybe you could see if they have old sample carpet pieces that you could take for either free or really cheap and make them into a rug yourself. Backing shouldn't be too expensive, and you could actually apply it with caulk to make it more permanent.
- Q: what is the best product to clean rugs?
- A bit more information about what they are made off, what type, how big and what sort of soiling would be good. However I will assume you mean floor rugs and normal cleaning. Sprinkle bicarb soda all over the rug and leave for 10-15 min. Vacuum.
- Q: What size rug should I get?
- That depends on what else you have in there and how much of the tile flooring you want to cover. If you want to completely cover the room with the rug, get a 16x16. If you want to see some of the tile, get something more like a 14x14 to 12x12 (depending on whether you want a 1-foot tile border or 2-foot). But, let's say you have a basic set-up with a sofa against one wall and a coffee table in front of it, and an entertainment center against the opposite wall. And, you want the rug for accent, not necessarily to cover up the tile. The area rug would start just about at the front edge of the sofa, maybe a few inches away from it. It sould be centered side to side with the sofa, and come out far enough to extend a couple feet beyond the coffee table. In this case, you would be looking at somewhere between a 5x8 to a 6x9 area rug, with the coffee table pretty much centered over the rug. These are pretty standard sizes, because that's generally how people use them as an accent.
- Q: How can I clean my carpet really well without using a steamer/shampooer? There's no stains on it and I vacuum regularly, but when my baby starts crawling i don't want a nasty germy, oil/dirt infested, carpet. What products are good?
- You're going to have to rent a carpet-cleaner machine from your local grocery if you want to get your carpet really clean - it's really no big deal, and dries pretty quickly. If you're worried about the chemicals in the shampoos and cleaners that you are supposed to buy for the machine, you can always just use hot water and white vinegar instead of the bottled carpet-shampoo. Vinegar kills as much bacteria as antibacterial soap does - the only draw-back is that everything will smell like vinegar for a while. Whatever you do, don't use any of those powders that you shake over the carpet and then vacuum up - not good for crawling babies, as the powder residue can get on their toys or hands, which then put in their mouths. If you're just looking to kill surface germs, you can put vinegar and water in a spray-bottle and spritz the carpet with that, though renting a machine will get it really clean.
