- Q: What is the difference between the power BV line and the power YJV cable?
- You can use sc. if too long, or bend the best use of the bridge
- Q: I need to run power cables from 4 fans on my stacker 830 around the edges of the case and into the power supply for cable management purposes. The fans I currently have, have power cables that are around only 10 inches long. Any ideas?
- Can you solder? If so, just clip the wires then splice on extensions. Add heat-shrink material, solder connections, shrink the material and you're good to go.
- Q: all my cables are pluged in but i have no power to printer lexmarkz43
- You could also try and leave the power cord completely unplugged from the printer and your power source for about 5-10 min.
- Q: Opened the inside. Next to fuse, it says 8A 125VPower cable says it is 7A 125Vdevice doesn't not work. Could this be the problem? Not sure if the power cable is the original.
- Did you check to see if the fuse was blown? Non- operation can be caused by fuse deterioration over time, in relatively heavy current situations. However usually, a blown fuse is indicative of more serious problems, which will not be rectified by replacing a blown fuse. A replacement would just blow again. The power cord/ fuse markings are irrelevant, they're fine. They are there to ensure any replacements are fit for the purpose they were intended for.
- Q: I want to switch to cable phone (indeed, that Triple play service offered by companies as Optimum or Time Warner). When power fails, you dont?expect to have Cable TV or internet, but phone service is different. You really need it all the time. Some people told me outages affect cable phone service. I?m very concerned because some neighborhoods in my city have had blackouts recently.
- I specifically put that question to my cable provider a few months ago. This was the official answer Quoted: ----------------------- Hello Jeff. Thank you for your email. The answer to your query is surrounded by a few variables, the main one being your proximity to the ‘node’ that your Internet service feeds off. In the event of a neighbourhood-wide power outage, our “nodes” are equipped by back-up batteries that may be able to supply the required signals for the modem to receive and transmit, though limited in duration. But as with any supposedly fool-proof system, there always exists the possibility of fortuitous failure. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Bob. Rep. no. 2597. E-Services Calgary, Telephone: 310-SHAW, Shaw Communications Inc. --------------------- So, in short, they do have battery backup for Internet on the local nodes... but for how long it will last is unknown and not guaranteed. That said, I am currently only using cable Internet to transport my VoIP services. I pulled the plug on my local telco, months ago. I have my cable modem, router, VoIP ATA adapter, and cordless phones connected to a battery-backed-up UPS power supply. But, these are all only temporary backup solutions. If you feel too nervous about not having phone or 911 service during a power outage... then, don't do it. Or, get a cell as your emergency backup comms.
- Q: Hey guysA 6mm power cable can hold up to 25A, but, if a product draws a maximum of 4A, in theory, can this 6mm be reduced? If so, by approx how much?Cheers, much appreciated!! :)
- yes. Resistance, and therefore voltage drop, is inversely proportional to the square of the radius or diameter. in other words, cut the diameter in half to 3 mm, the current capability would be 1/4 or 6 amps. 25/4 = 6.25, and square root of that is 2.5, and 6mm/2.5 = 2.4 mm, using only voltage drop considerations. If temperature in the wire is important, it gets more complicated, as you have to consider physical size of the wire, insulation type and thickness, etc. Of course wiring codes would override all this.
- Q: at the end of power cable are 2 wires
- I don't know what you mean by 302cm power cable. When it has 2 wires, one if usually the hot (power) and one is the ground (earth.) I don't know much else that'll help you, sorry.
- Q: Hello, I am looking to purchase a single power connector for 5 hard drives. I have a modular 1200W power supply, and all i can find on website is these single power connecters that do not even look like they will connect to my power supply. My computer came with power connectors for 4 hard drives in single cables. I do not want to waste another Power supply slot for just 1 more hard drive. Can anybody tell me how to search for this? Thank you.
- I do not want to waste another Power supply slot for just 1 more hard drive. That's what they're there for.
- Q: So my old power cord cable is no longer working and i need a replacement but i cant find one. does anybody know where i can find one? PLease include links
- The picture in the manual shows a standard IEC type power cord, which you can get at any electronics or computer store.
- Q: the cable that comes out of the ocean and goes onto the island. Sayid finds it
- The underwater Dhrama Looking Glass station. Remember from the season finale of season 3 I believe, it's where Desmond and Charlie swam to to press the button thing to allow communication with the outside world, but those two women were there and then Mikhail showed up and Charlie ended up drowning after Mikhail threw a grenade at the control room Charlie was in, but before Charlie drowned he managed to tell Desmond that the freighter was not Penny's boat.... ringing a bell? The cable was to provide power to it.
