- Q: Are they the same because apple gives yuo the cable but you can buy the power adapter
- the power adapter is so you can charge it off of a regular outlet rather than having to have a computer handy to charge it through the usb port. i recommend getting the power adapter, i have it and its good
- Q: Does it need the PCI-e power cable on the PSU
- Well the older models don't, but the newer models do. Theres either 6-pin, 8-pin, one 8-pin one 6-pin etc.
- Q: I just traded with someone and got a PS3. It came with just the power cord. When I plug it in the red light comes on but it just beeps twice and that's it. Is it because I don't have an AV cable or it is broken?
- haha man i feel sorry for you. What you have is a YLOD case(yellow light of dead) it can be many things wrong with it but in your case its the cpu slowly loseing i am geussing he didnt tell you that it has YLOD u will have to watch many youtube vids to fix it or just go to a hardware man or a local computer specialtest he will do it for 20 bucks
- Q: Hi, i cant find anywhere to pass the power cable into the bonnet in my clio 2002 1.2l. Anyone know what to do?
- Yes. You will have to drill your own hole, and add a grommet.. I reccomend a step bit. Do not forget to add a grommet to protect the wire from rubbing against the firewall.. As I was taught, Look Twice, Drill Once.. Good Luck!!
- Q: I'm 1000% positive that it's not my monitor's problem.
- did you probably didn't ground yourself and when you touched the motherboard you ruined the on-board video card..
- Q: I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 DVR Digital Cable box and yesterday when I arrived home, it was not showing the time or any evidence of power. The TV and DVD player work just fine, but not the box. I unplugged it, tried a different plug but no power. I hear the box working, but it never shows any sign of powering on. This box is maybe a month old.Any thoughts?
- The power wont show because some thing might be damaged inside.
- Q: I am upgrading a two-year-old higher end HP tower to include a mirrored hard drive. I did a little vacuuming and inspection and plan to order the exact model drive which is in there now. I noticed that the SATA cables used include a simple plastic latching mechanism in the connector. I checked CDW and found quot;latchingcables made by Startech which I assume should work (but the latching part is made of stamped metal). My biggest question is the power connector. The factory installed molex-to-SATA adapter also has this latch mechanism (on the black hard drive side), but I cannot find a cable anywhere mentioning a latch on the power connector. Is this something specific to factory installation? Thanks.
- No. Latching cables as you call them are available at retailers. Try Newegg...
- Q: I bought an SATA hard drive off someone that appears to use a 15-pin connector. There does not appear to be any other connectors on the back. How does this thing get powered? I have another SATA hard drive that uses the regular 7-pin connector, and on the back, just like an IDE drive, it has a place to connect the power. This SATA hard drive though just has that big 15-pin connector in the back, and nothing else.
- Some okorder /... 3 bucks
- Q: Hi will this Graphics card, require a power cable or do i just plug it into the slot and away it goes??
- It shouldn't require a power cord, but that almost looks like a reference design card. Oh... that's an AGP card. I don't think they required additional power sources in that series of Nvidia chipsets.
- Q: Only answer if you know it works with my kind of laptop, because If I order it and it isnt, i may have to end you. :D. I mean it in a nice way.
- If you don't already have an OKorder account, you should get one - it opens up a whole world of bargains. Just make sure you buy from a seller with a 99% or better rating and over 100 sales. I have never had any problem as long as I have followed those guidelines. Good luck!
