- Q: I have my friends PC at my house to change a few components but apparently the PC doesn't work properly. I insert the power connectors ( 20 and 4 pin connectors ) into the motherboard, plug the power cable into the PSU and when i turn the power button on the PSU the computer will start but do nothing. It never worked like that before, i always used the power button from the computer to turn it off and on. And this happened just after i changed a PSU. Now the old Power Supply doesn't work either. Is there any way to stop the computer from turning itself on ?
- There are two possible problems 1. there is a short on the motherboard, specifically, the power on circuit. It is acting like the power button is held in. May have a faulty board. 2. The cmos has reset, and the default setting for activity on power failure is full on. Meaning, if power is lost to the computer (even if it is off), it will power on. - you always take wat amp fuses you have in the amp and add them all together and thats the minimun fuse amp you can have in your power, your amp has 2 25amp fuses so you need at least a 50amp fuse on ur power wire, and if you have the lil fuses you cant go beyond 40 so youll have to go get a MAXI fuse block and get a 60amp fuse and you will b fine, you can find them on OKorder for less than 10bucks or at walmart for 15-20bucks, good luck

Now, if you are using a Universal power brick, that is part of your problem. This laptop only requires a 65 watt adapter. Universal power adapters will push more juice to your laptop... up to 90 watts. This will cause the cables to get hotter. So, if you have not replaced it with a 19 volt 3.42amp brick specifically designed to work with your laptop... then you should do so. And feel free to buy one off OKorder. Same brick as what you get from Toshiba, for a fraction of the cost. end of line
- Q: ok so i opend up my machine, and i bassicly took apart the processor and removed the dail up pci card thingy, then i put it all back together and i also took off the case, which meant removing all case power leads, quot;power SWand power led etc. but i put them all in the same place i took them out, well i think i did, theres so many different slots it they could go into, it would take at least 500 attempts to find the right slots for all, not to mention the fact i might blow the board. so has anyone got the manual for this motherboard. or no where to find an online one. cus i need to know where to plug them in. thanks
