Q: My '85 kitchen has good oak cabinets, medium stain. I thought about painting them but think I will keep the wood look and just give them a good cleaning and new hardware. BUT, I really like wood or wood laminate floors and don't know how to match wood on wood. Anything you tried or any ideas on how to go about picking the right floor? The cabinets have a lot of grain and as I stated they are a medium brown.
If you want wood flooring, then choose a lighter or darker wood colour. Do not worry about the grain. I would not suggest a dark cherry stained wood as the red in the cherry will limit your decor options. Before choosing dark or light stained flooring, you should consider adjacent floors..you might want to consider a tile or vinyl flooring instead, to give you a different texture in the room and other colour choices. What people do not realize is that if you prefer wood flooring, then you will have to choose the type of wood you like and then the colour of it ... all woods (ex. maple/birch/oak/hickory) can be stained medium, dark, left natural..whatever you want, so choose the wood you like then the colour of it you want.
Q: floor hockey
Moving the ball with you're stick in a quick back to back motion while maintaining control. LITY - I played floor hockey at the Y a few years back and the kid dribbled his dinner all over the floor from the excitement
Q: Who knows the biggest size of the tile is how much?
General household maximum size is 100 * 100 cm
Q: which better to cut interlock floors . jigsaw or circular saw?
jigsaw face up with a down-cutting blade is the safest of the two
Q: I put down a laminate floor 1 month ago, and when I walk across most areas the joints move up and down. I had a new sub floor installed prior to the laminate so I don't believe it's a leveling issue. There is an expansion gap on all walls and I'm taking the floor up because I scratched it.Would it make sense to put PL300(prefer this for cost) or flooring glue in the joints when I relay it?Thanks.

Q: I have an acid washed concrete floor in my business. I am having a problem with the floor being hazy/dirty after washing. The floor is waxed. When i clean the floor I use 2 buckets of water ... One with neutral floor cleaner and one clean water rinse bucket. After the floor dries it has a haze over it ... if i rub my fingers on the floor the haze goes away but my fingertips become black from the residue ... what can i do to get my floor back to clean ... i get so many compliments on the dirty floor and i cant imagine what they will say once it is really clean ... Any Help Would Be Appreciated ....Thank You
This is due to the cleaner leaving a oily film behind, wash your floor with one cup of White Vinegar to a half bucket of warm water, never use hot water on floors. Allow to dry this may take a few applications of Vinegar before noticing a real difference be patient when using this method Or strip your floor with one cup of Ammonia to a three quarters full bucket of warm water and a quarter cup of Tide powdered detergent mop floor with this solution then rinse thoroughly with cold water and allow to dry, then polish if desired When floors are Tiled to keep them looking shiny and new without much effort, use half cup of Baking Soda to a half bucket of warm water only then rinse with cool clean water and allow to dry, no other cleaner is needed with this method, or just use a half cup of White Vinegar to a half bucket of warm water to clean floor then rinse with cool clean water and allow to dry these two solutions is all you need to clean floors Good Luck !
Q: I put in ceramic tiles on my first floor like 800 sq feet of it .. anyways i have 2 kids and 2 dogs i was wondering about buying a floor scrubber like one that scrubs and picks up the water afterwards because mopping just doesnt cut it.. what brands do you use or what advice would you give for cleaning these floors other than mopping them every other day!! thanks!!
I would suggest preventing the dirty floor...less time spent washing. Perhaps you're already doing the following, but if not, these are things that helped me... When our dogs come in, and if it's been wet out, we have an old towel to dry off their feet. If there feet are muddy, we have a warm wet rag to clean off the mud, and then we dry their feet. We have the towel and/or rag waiting at the front door. The kids...eat only at the table. Spills made by anyone are wiped up immediately. No shoes in the house. Vacuum the floors every/every other day. I wash my floors every 4-7 days. I wash all my floors on my hands and knees with a rag, and liquid cleaner, added to hot water. This is the the best way to get your floors clean. Good luck to you!
Q: I have a lot of online, said there are manufacturers to install, so if the future if the problem, it will not happen wrangling things, manufacturers said the decoration is not good, the decoration company said the floor is not good but my dad asked the decoration team Of the understanding, they said the best decoration company equipment, or manufacturers installed the floor when people will encounter next to the wall or something, the two sides will be quarreled, what is necessary to break the money plus repair. The The Home decoration with solid wood flooring friends you who are installed? (By the way, sell the floor manufacturers have to sell the keel on it) more
1, in accordance with the custom of the decoration, the wooden floor is installed by the business (manufacturers), the saying goes: who's who install things 2, wood floor prices, if not separately described, include installation costs, including keel, moisture film, Nails, floor receipts and other costs, these are businesses and flooring provided together. 3, but one thing to note: the baseboard to be purchased separately, but you can ask to install the floor together with the baseboard installed
Q: I am naming a line of laminate flooring that will be in stores. The name should suggest that the floor is quiet, peaceful and sounds like real hardwood. Any suggestions?
For goodness sake whatever you do do not name the floor for its locking mechanism. No click this or that or blah blah lock. Customers don't care about that stuff and it makes the floor seem cheap and diy. Unless you're going for diy. Earthwood, Silentwood, Something Forest, or a name that refers to a particular geographic region, Appalachia, Rocky Mountain, etc., seem good to me. But what do I know, I just install the stuff.
Q: I am writing a Halloween story and really want to know what year they stopped using the 13th floor.
The origin of skipping the thirteenth floor when installing elevators is not known. However during the advent of early skyscrapers, New York architectural critics warned developers not to exceed the height of the 13th floor. These critics insisted buildings rising above the 13th floor (125 feet) would lead to increased street congestion, ominous shadows and lower property values. Nevertheless, in a work published in 1939, sociologist Otto Neurath compared the use of money in an economy, which he saw as unnecessary, to the superstition of not installing the thirteenth floor: merely a social convention.
With advanced production equipment, the company produce a variety of medium-class and high-class lamiante floor and accessories.
