Q: ok i have theses 2 rooms that have laminate flooring in them and there is a water damaged spot almost in the doorway first rooms about 420sqft and the other rooms about 110sqft and right where the doorway is to the rooms is a spot that is water damaged and it's about 4ft from the starting wall can we cut up the flooring and replace it without having to redo both rooms is there a way to put it together backwards from starting wall to finish point?: If it’s the self locking, floating floor type yes, i have done it it can be carefully disassembled and all the reusable pieces saved and then re-installed you must have enough new pieces of the exact same floor to replace the damaged ones and re install all the flooring you removed pull up the molding that hides the edges of the floor and find where the last row of flooring installed is and lift gently to unlock all the pieces

I then spray the floor (a small area at a time) with the vinegar/water solution and then wipe it up with the damp terry mop. It does a good job. There is no streaking, and you are using very little water on the floor. One company has come out with wet cloths to attach to Swiffer mops that contain vinegar and water, which I also plan to purchase and try. Make Cleaner at Home To make laminate floor cleaner, mix 1/3 white vinegar, 1/3 rubbing alcohol, 1/3 water, and 3 drops dishwashing liquid for a quart total. For best results, wipe off quickly.

Anyone have positive or negative experiences with vinyl plank flooring? If you had it to do over again, would you make the same or a different flooring choice?: Good Quality Vinyl plank flooring (and laminate not made in China) are nice. Make sure they are installed correctly. Most companies have installation instructions online. Whether you do it or they do it if it's not installed right the warrantee is voided. Remember that you usually get what you pay for. Most vinyl plank that I've seen is good looking and durable. If your floor is uneven you may get gaps between the boards.

With a chissel make small dents on the existing floor in case it's cement or concreet and that would make the leveling compound better.

We have white cabinets, stainless steel appliances & I want medium brown floors & counter tops...would this be weird?: Don't tile your countertops- you will regret it! The grout is hard to clean, not to mention unsanitary. Do yourself a favor and opt for some sort of solid surface- corian, granite, or quartz. If that is not in your budget there are really nice laminates out there. But, matching your countertops and flooring color-wise is a good decision.
