- Q: I get the downloads usually from mod the sims 2 but I find it frustrating as there is no-one to ask ,they refer one to the frequently answered questions .Mystifying statements such as you will find this under a rug or a picture!!!What on earth does this mean?
- ok when you unzip or un rar the file it goes into programs/eagames/sims2/do= wnloads or wherever your sims2 is located. then it should show up in game u= nder the matching catagory. like when i just put new pictures for wall in a= nd they are under the picture section in buy mode. the new skins are in the= make a new family mode with the astrix. the new archectecture is under build mode. if they are not showing you can try the loop symbol for the main catagory it shows everything not broken by type like all plants all wall hanging all rugs in that section. double check you have them in the eagames sims2 download folder not in temp or elsewhere WHEN YOU ARE IN DECORATING MODE JUST TAP TO OPEN THE COROSPONDING PICTURE...RUGS HAVE RUGS PICTURE FRAME HAS WALL THINGS LIKE POSTERS AND PAINTINGS, THE FLOWERS HAS FLOOR AND TABLE STUFF LIKE VASES AND CANDLES. - 1. Put some ice cubes in a bowl. 2. Place the ice cubes along the dented areas of carpeting or in the spot where a piece of furniture was set. Place cubes about 2 inches apart. (See Tips below. ALWAYS test first, and be especially cautious if you have wood floors under your carpeting.) 3. Let the ice cubes rest on the carpet for several hours or overnight, at least until cubes are completely melted. 4. Allow the carpet to dry completely. 5. Vacuum the carpet in the areas where you set the ice cubes. 6. Carpet fibers should now be returned to their normal upright position. If they're still lying down, fluff them up with your finger tips. 7. Reapply ice cubes if needed. 8. Please read important TIPS below. Tips: 1. ALWAYS test this method first with one ice cube in an inconspicuous spot. Lift carpet corner to see that the water hasn't damaged the under flooring. 2. Be CAREFUL if you have wood floors underneath! Test first to make sure moisture does not damage the wood! 3. DO NOT use this method on hand dyed rugs, antique carpets, delicate or valuable rugs, or on fibers not compatible with water cleaning.

- I had this problem with the carpet in my lounge. I foolishly cleaned the carpet by hand, but it meant I overwet the carpet so all the dirt that'd worked down into the underlay got wet and then squished itself up and through to the carpet (the previous house owners had 2 children who spilt many drinks!). - Carpet Tiles are sort of the DIY answer to laying carpet, since some people find the thought of unrolling the whole 12' roll and cutting it to be a bit daunting. Most of them will come with a 6-8lb pad attached to the bottom, but some come as a flat lay commercial style as well. They're comparable to the actual rolled carpet, but over time they are a bit quicker to show wear and fray, and the visibility of seams really depends on the installation. With the newer technologies, they've made it so they blend in very well, but only if put down properly. The lasting factor comes down to how you treat the carpet and what kind of warranty it has. Obviously, the one with lesser warranties will go a bit quicker, but the same can be said for high traffic areas vs. low traffic. On average, they don't last quite as long as standard roll carpets. I usually see them installed in basements or sitting rooms, not usually entry ways or bedrooms. Just make sure you do some research on the brands and check the warranties before purchasing, and good luck if you do decide to go through with it :)
