Q: Need to figure out what our max budget needs to be for new carpet for about 900 sf.: I've looked into this myself for my house. Check out Home Depot or Lowes, both have installation services. The maximum I saw there was around $4 a square foot installed. It really depends on the type and quality of the carpet. I was looking at some nice carpets that were around $3 a square foot installed. Not to luxurious but not cheap quality either.

Q: Need to find the best carpeting that will not show quot;traffic patternsquot;. What material is best for this? Money is not a big concern.: I love my carpet have had it about 4 years.. its made of recycled plastic milk cartons, according to my carpet dealer they are all making this type of carpet now, but mine was from Mohawk. There are certain letters on it I think its PET, ask your carpet dealer. It will not stain at all.. I really don't see any traffic marks and part of the carpet is in an area between 2 doorways that gets a lot of traffic. It looks like a normal wool/ polyester carpet it feels just as soft but has great durability, I highly recommend it! The other type I would recommend is berber.. its not as soft.. and if you have pets it wouldn't work like my carpet(cats like to scratch on it and it will stain) but it won't show a traffic pattern its very strong and used in more office settings than homes.

Q: How can I clean the carpet? Can I wash it with washing machine?: The washing machine can't wash the carpet. Because carpets and washing clothes are different, are generally more heavy, area and relatively large.

Q: Ok so my toilet over flowed over night, which caused some water to go onto my living room rug(Clean Water). Its not too bad but bad enough that it needs to be cleaned. It dried up but now it seems to have white patch's on the rug? I really hope its not mold... but I just want to know does anyone know how I can clean this? Any special cleaning products??? Thank so Much.: If this rug is a machine-washable rug, just wash it in your machine. Then dry it in your dryer, but don't over-dry it. If the rug isn't machine-washable, take the rug to a Dry Cleaner. They should be able to clean it for you. Now if were talking about wall-to-wall carpeting, your best bet is to have the carpet professionally cleaned. Professionals not only can clean the carpet, they can add special deodorizers so that mold doesn't end up growing in the carpet. Cleaning just one room should cost that much.
