Carpet cleaning Tech, I can tell you that if you didnt get all the beer out of the carpet, and what i mean is if the padding is still wet it will form what is called a water stain witch most of the time will come out if you clean the carpet again but dont use soap in the carpet cleaning machine put it in a spray bottle and spray it on the carpet first let it sit for about 10 mins, then put rubbing alochol in the water water about 1/2 cup then the rest hot water. then dry good

Q: I am looking into buying a good carpet cleaning machine. I have looked at some brands like Bissel (spelling?)... and Hoover. Anyone know anything about them or own one? Are the supplies for them expensive? I also want something that wont leave a residue. Thanks for any help!: my husband bought me the bissel that heats the water it wasnt much just over two hundred dollars and i find that it works really well, the cleaners for them dont cost too much either they are carried at walmart, zellers, most stores

Q: appropriately enuff my mom gave me an area rug and she smokes, so does everyone else around her, we don't smoke at my house...febreeze only makes a quot;freshquot; smokey sicko nasty smell.: Sprinkle the carpet generously with Corn Starch (best) or Borax or Baking Soda Make sure you have a fresh bag in your vaccuum! and check it often Let the Corn Starch sit for a minimum of 2 hours - overnight is best. Vacuum and you will notice a remarkable difference the goo attaches to the powder and it is removed from the carpet. when I quit smoking I had to do this several times but it was worth the effort. Try to wait a few days in between applications - and always a fresh bag!

(that's that spongy feeling that carpet has when it has good padding) I also recommend that if you don't know how to install carpet materials then get a professional to do the job. IN THE END in my point of view TILE is your best bet. I mean unless you like carpet then have at it with the new padding. BUT if you want the best choice of flooring, go with tile. It's much cleaner and easier to work with. (and just from experience: if you get a light colored tile then get a dark colored grout.) it looks great GOOD LUCK!!!
