- Hi, It could be bad if your fan is no longer working (not cooling the CPU). What you need to do is take the side panel off of your computer and look inside while the computer is powered on. You will see a fan about four inches across with the blades facing you. If the fan is not spinning shut down your computer and take it to a repair shop or look online for a replacement.
