- Left foot as well.
- Q: I'am struggling with my bench press lately. I use to do 150 now it went down to 135. Are there any other workouts to help increase my bench press back to 150 again?
- Do you even lift?
- Q: I am interested and curious to know your opinion about Freedom of press.I am writing an essay about freedom of press but I am not sure what side to pick.it's an argumentive essay - do you think the government has the right to set restrictions when it comes to freedom of press?I can't decide which side I should pick. I need at least 3 examples or reasons why the side I picked is correct. - You could try the Vietnam War. It is generally accepted among military analysts of the period that the US could have won (given superior technology and the fact that the US won every major engagement) had easy media access to the war by way of embedded reporters in the field not showered the American public with pictures of death and destruction night after night. Of course, something like this is touchy (some would argue that that was a good thing - you'll need to write a rebuttal for that), so if you're going to use it, be careful.
- Q: in gym i am able to do a flat bench press of up to 40-45kg.....20-25kg feels like nothing.....but i am not able to do push ups ...maximum i have done in my life is 20 pushups on some lucky day...if i am doing 5 pushups rather 2 push up they does not feel effortless ....my first push up will feel like i am doing 100th....why is it so.....?i read some where that it is because of unbalanced training ...but on Wikipedia i found that both exercise target almost same muscle group...can some one clarify???
- The bench press doesn't engage your core as much as push-ups do. A perfect push-up means your body stays in a straight line all throughout the movement -- a requirement that doesn't apply to the bench press. Work on your core strength with exercises like the plank. If you can't hold the top of a push-up for more than 15 seconds, you have a very weak core. It might also be that while you have the muscular strength to perform a push-up, you don't necessarily have the muscular ENDURANCE to perform A LOT of push-ups. Best way to work on that is...lots of push-ups! Just bang out as many as you can, whether it's 10 or 20 or 100, whenever you can.
- Q: I am very flat chested and want to develop some pecs, preverably within my own house. Will doing push ups and bench press do this?
- Weighted or elevated pushups will certainly help a lot, the bench is where you will do most of the muscle building though. low reps with high weight is how you develop muscle mass, just remember to take some protein supplements after you work out to help build up that muscle. good luck to you.
- Q: I think I might be using too fine of grounds they keep getting into my cup. What are some good brands of coffee to use with a French press?
- 1) Buy a decent press. Bodum has a range of price points and all of them work about the same. I have 2 medium-size presses that make about 2 large mugs worth of coffee at a time. 2) Buy whole beans, ideally freshly roasted from a local roaster, and grind them immediately prior to brewing. Keep your beans stored in an airtight container out of the light (e.g. in a cupboard), and only buy what you can reasonably use within two or three weeks. 3) Use a burr grinder to make a medium-coarse grind. I use a Hario manual grinder. They take some time, but at only $25-30 on Amazon, they're the best value in terms of quality and end result versus price paid for the grinder. Regardless of how coarsely you grind your coffee, odds are there will be some small particles that the filter doesn't catch. That is, in my experience, normal. Just don't drink the last sip or two of coffee.
- Q: would doing assisted bench presses (with a machine) gain me as much mass to the chest as doing regular bench pressing? Is there a difference in the amount of mass you would gain or is it basically the same?
- the asisted bench press just keeps your arms straight and guides you so you dont go down and cant get back up but you do need to increase the weight cause the bar isnt standarded olympic bar weight. my trainer allows told me the machines are for getting ripped and free weights are for getting big but logically as long as you putting up the same weight the same amount of mass is built but i prefer free weight benching
- Q: Im 14 145 lbs and 5' 8. I have abs and stuff but i want my arms bigger, and i generally like routine and to workout. How should i start to bench press? I have everything at my local gym, and i need a routine, and need to know how much weight. Im open to any advice.
- Lift weights
- Q: I heard from someone that bench-pressing works out the triceps (well, as well as many other muscles), but how much does it work them out? A bit? A lot? I'm asking this because I want to know whether or not I should do tricep workouts on top of bench pressing. I really hate working them out, but if bench pressing works them out by a significant amount then that would be all I need :)
- Bench pressing works out your triceps but not that much. You should still do separate workouts for your triceps. Everyone thinks the secret to big arms is big biceps but it's triceps. I spent more time in Iraq then I wanted to and 6 days out of each week there was spent in the gym during my down time so I know what I'm talking about.
- Q: Help! I've been stuck benching 140lbs for a good 1 month. I try overloading but it has not worked because I would just get tired. I'm 15 years old, 5'3 and weigh 105lbs. Is it because of my weight? My height? Or is it because I have adapted to bench pressing that it has no effect on me? I have mostly been working on my Fast Twitching Muscle Fibers. Maybe this is the cause of my plateau.I'm willing to switch to endurance exercises to improve my Slow Twitching Muscle Fibers but I'm not sure if this will help me break my plateau.Any advice will be appreciated.
- the concern i think of you will desire to do is replace your workout. double reps, do some days of various extra gadgets etc. attempt staring at muscle and wellness magazine or there cyber web web site. seek for advice from own coach
